I wasn’t going to post this, but happened to see Rory Sloan the other day and it made sooooo angry, so I have to share, even though the final decision from the ombudsman was a year ago!

Do not trust Rory Sloan as far you could throw him!
He is despicable! I’d used Allen & Harris twice before to try and sell my house, during Brexit, didn’t work and at the end of COVID, didn’t work again! I’d got to know him for a few years and thought I’d give him another go! I signed the contract, as I had before and he said he’d fill in the rest when he got back to the office! How stupid and trusting was I! He’d been charging 1% previously - when I got the bill when the house finally sold, he’d filled in 1.75% - what a rip off and cost me an extra £7.5K!! He claimed he’s not the cheapest nor would he want to be! Shame their business doesn’t match up to his claim!! I disputed the final bill and went to their compliance department, they found on behalf of their own business (No surprise!!), then I went to the housing ombudsman but they found for their member (they do get over £300k a year in fees from the group of which Allen & Harris are a part so why would they bite the hand that feeds them!) so they are all corrupt and I wouldn’t go near them again especially Rory Sloan who is an awful man…!

As a first time buyer, obtainin a mortgage can be extremely daunting. We first spoke with Liam Tresilian who was absolutely amazing. Not only did he work late most evenings to accommodate our working hours but also provided a five star service. He automatically changed over our mortgage product if the rates went down and talked us through the various life insurance options that were available and arranged the same as soon as we exchanged.
Liam, you really are a lovely person, extremely professional and I will never use another broker. Thank you for everything.
If you need a broker this is your man !!!!

We really enjoyed our viewing experience with Courteney who was prepared, professional, and very friendly. This was the best out of a few in Abingdon! Requested a home report in June 2023, none given. Asked my solicitor to request it, no response. Asked in February 2024 for another report and June 2023 report, no response. Spoke to one of the agents on the telephone once. He kept referring to me as sir despite me telling him numerous times I'm a Miss. Unprofessional and I feel sympathy for their clients who are using them to sell their property. They unfortunately aren't aware that they simply don't respond to requests for home reports so they're sat on the market for prolonged periods. Avoid.

Sophie and her team at Allen and Harris were fantastic. Their communication throughout always put me at ease and nothing was ever too much for them. The team at Allen and Harris in Larkhall were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Peter who first viewed the property with me was extremely helpful with ideas and information about possible refurbishment ideas and Matthew was also very helpful and professional during the whole process.
