Bairstow Eves were instructed to sell my mum’s house and the contact there was Chris Rawlings.
Since day one Chris has been professional, friendly and eager to help us at every juncture. The rest of the team at the office were also always up to speed so whenever I rang the office, the team knew what was going on even if Chris was out of the office.
I was also impressed with the level of communication and calls were returned in a very short time.
Overall given the national jokes about problems with estate agents, I must say Bairstow Eves at Chigwell is the exception to the rule.
I would wholeheartedly recommend them.

Bairstow Eves helped my brother and I to sell our Mums property. We had used agents prior to selecting Bairstow without much success and enthusiasm.
Steve assisted with the foundations and from that point on, Sam and Cem ensured the viewings were always at a good level and stayed in contact every step of the way. Sam would call weekly and confirm how many bookings he had arranged for the week, and then once sold STC pretty much held our hand and guided us through every step of the way. His effort continued with communicating continuously with both parties solicitors, and supporting my brother and I through quite an emotional task. Sam really deserves to be recognised for his commitment to his work. He is polite, friendly and reassuring. Chris also supported us and gave sound advice throughout the sale which has given peace of mind. Having never sold a property before, both Sam and Chris helped me to understand things that I had previously no idea about. Worst experience we have ever had.
on our first viewing we booked over a week in advance we was told an hour before the actual viewing that it was cancelled, bear in mind we both took time off work in order to cater for this.
As if this wasn’t bad enough, we gave the property a second chance and booked a viewing in the convenience of the seller and estate agent which was on a Saturday… we turned up 15 minutes before agreed time, waited almost an hour and nobody showed up.
Nobody from Bairstow Eves bothered to call us… Again, another day of work lost due to the incompetence of these estate agents.

Absolutely shocking experience, if I could give a zero I would. Tried to sell a house for my elderly parents who have no idea about selling a house and were already anxious and nervous but trusted Bairstow Eves Chigwell. Our house was valued high to then be heavily reduced within weeks. We were promised things but agents never delivered, was always constantly chasing for answers and updates. Late for viewings, never turned up for viewings and this with 5 minutes notice. Awful Experience. I Do not recommend them. We went to another agent who sold our house within 2 weeks and the difference in communication and honesty was incredible. However. Be aware of the clauses in their contract which are not explained but in small print if you wish to end your contract.

I would give no stars if this was an option. Unfortunately, we have had a very poor experience with Bairstow Eves Chigwell branch, and have found them to be incompetent and dishonest throughout the process of trying to sell our house. I would not recommend using them if you want to avoid going through this terrible experience. Misadvised, lack of communication, over valuing properties to gain business are just a few issues of their poor professional standards. Be aware of the contract clauses which will haunt you forever!!!!

we have been trying to sell our mum house but because it is in a trust it was very problematic, purple square things did not have a clue, we contacted Bairstow Eaves who did not bat an eyelid they just found solutions , we had one person on the trust who was proving to be very difficult again Bairstow eaves,or should I say Steve Nichols and his team,went to work, they contacted the problem and got her to sign, there were many obstacles that were overcome, for instance the house was in need of a good update as it had not been touched since 1969, add to that our mum is bed bound Steve took his team( Irfan and Amy) to the house to introduce them so the viewings were as sensitive as possible, Steve and his team were and are extremely professional, they went above and beyond what you would expect, we was advised to auction the property which we did, the house was sold and completed in within a week and we achieved a very fair price, i cannot praise Steve Nicholls and his team high enough, our time with him has been a pleasure.

I've just bought a flat through Bairstow Eves and can highly recommend Irfan and Steve. Irfan suggested this property to me - which was actually just what I was looking for - and did the viewing and both Steve and Irfan have been friendly and professional - and never pushy - throughout. My solicitor wasn't the quickest, but they didn't lose patience and maintained a sense of humour - which was appreciated. Estate agents don't always have the best reputation, but Irfan and Steve are both great.

We dealt with Steve and Irfan at the Chigwell branch who were both incredibly nice and professional. They constantly stayed in contact and made the whole selling process super easy during these difficult times. I would certainly recommend to take away the stress of selling a property.
The selling tool for us was that Steve turned up that day when we expressed interest in selling the property and arranged the photographs of the property within a couple of days despite being super busy. Frome then on we didnt need to worry about a thing and our buyers were part of the batch who viewed that same week.
Irfan was on hand to do the viewings and I'm sure it was his charm that sold the house.

If every estate agents were like Bairstove Eves in Chigwell, you could relax from the first day of buying/selling journey.
If we knew about this agency before we put our property on the market, we would never choose different one.
However, we were very lucky to meet Irfan Ali when we were looking for a property to buy.
From the first day we knew he is honest, proffesional and reliable person.
Our situation was very complicated and the amount of the time it took to complete went beyond our expectations. However, Irfan and Steve reassured us they will take all necessary arrangements to keep us stressless.
Steve and Irfan were very calm and they made all necessary calls to help speed up the process. They kept us informed at all times and vere very responsive.

Our Journey to buy home in Chigwell started Dec 2019 and since then had different experiences dealing with the estate agents.
Our experience with Bairstow eves have always been very good.
The property we liked was through Bairstow eves, initial process of agreeing the sale price with the vendor was dealt very efficiently by Steve Nichols.
Steve went above and beyond to obtain the information we needed as well as answering each and every question we had and to made our purchase easy
Then, most of the time I liaised with Irfan Ali and we are very pleased with the way Irfan handled our purchase of a Lechmere avenue home. He was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. He followed up on any and all concerns.

I have recently purchased a property through Bairstow Eves. We were looked after by Steve Nichols the Branch Manager who came across as genuine, honest, transparent and informative - something that stood out having viewed a number of other properties with other local agents. I never felt he was being pushy or saying something that wasn’t necessarily true for the sake of making a sale which in turn gave me confidence and built up a level of trust.
This was my first experience of buying a property and Steve guided me through the process every step of the way. He was overly accommodating when I wanted to return to the property or had questions between offer and completion and gave the impression nothing was too much trouble. I also had a brief dealing with Irfan, another member of the Chigwell team who I also found to be accommodating and genuine - it was a real pleasure dealing with the
Chigwell branch of Bairstow Eves and I would have no hesitation recommending them or using them again... although hopefully I won’t need to for many years! Thanks Steve for helping us secure our dream home!

We were exceptionally pleased with the service from both Steve and Irfan at the Chigwell branch. From the moment we engaged their services we felt confident and relaxed with Steve’s very kind and professional approach. After advertising our details the property received an offer above the asking price in less than 24 hours. The process was overseen by Steve with assistance from Irfan throughout. After a few weeks the buyer, unfortunately, couldn’t secure a mortgage on our house. So the guys got straight on with finding us a cash buyer within another 24 hours, you can’t beat that for efficiency! The sale has now safely completed with excellent attention and service from Steve and brilliant support from Irfan. Our buyer is delighted and, obviously so are we. Me and my husband would highly recommend bairstow eves . We used them recently to sell . Steve has been wonderful and reachable through out.They gave a genuine valuation. Listen to our opinion . Whereas other agencies try to reduce price and get the sale process quick. The fees were all negotiated clearly at the beginning didn't have any hidden cost.Did all the chasing with lawyers to speed up the process. I am really happy good service.
