If you are considering selling your property in SW16, I would highly recommend Oaks.
In challenging market conditions we were considering both selling and renting. Valuations were quickly organised at our convenience. The team had completed research before arriving and we were provided with comparable properties that they had sold/rented recently to guide us.
We chose to see our property. The whole Oaks team were very proactive and responsive to our questions. We were always able to get in touch quickly and were given helpful guidance.
Thank you to Pav for his enthusiasm and kindness in showing the property and keeping us updated with feedback. He was doggedly determined to ensure as many viewings as possible and followed up with interested parties to organise second viewings quickly.

I'll be candid and say I generally don't hold estate agents in high regard. James and Pavines @ Oaks Streatham changed my view.
They knew exactly the type of buyer who would be interested in our property, got them in quickly and got us a sale we are very happy with.

Samyul and Monika at Oaks have been absolutely brilliant. I am landlord of a two bed flat in Croydon. The property has been managed by Oaks for over a year now. Good tenants were sourced who pay rent on time and maintain the flat beautifully. Response time from Samyul and Monika is excellent, and any email or query I have is replied to immediately. When recent repairs were needed, Samyul coordinated everything very effectively. Both Samyul and Monika are consistently kind and friendly and a pleasure to do business with. I would not use another estate agent for rental or sale in this area. Highly professional and trustable business.

My experience with oaks has been amazing.
Although they initially did my valuation i went with Annother estate agent which a friend had recommended which was a bad decision.
However James kept in touch,once out of contract I moved over to Oaks.
Michael and sol came to view the house and asked questions.
Viewings started relatively quickly and frequently. I received an offer not too long after.
Michael held my solicitors to task.
He frequently emailed them and kept me constantly updated.The whole process moved swiftly without any issues.
I would recommend oaks ,it was been a fantastic stress free experience selling my house with them

We unfortunately had some issues at the flat we are renting. The management team and especially Samyul helped resolved this as soon as possible and contacted the contractors. The team seems to have a good relationship with the landlord so it was easy to organise the works that were needed. Samyul went above and beyond to respond to us, even outside of working hours and on bank holiday.

They were great at finding tenants for my 3 bed flat rather quick but within a few days I started having problems with my tenants.
The help I had from the manager in letting in particular was very poor and eventually just ignored my calls and my only point of contact was the general reception.
I was told misinformed information about how eviction works too.
The later team that took over at mid 2023 was pleasant and better to deal with but the letting team at start of 2022 was not good at all and I could not recommend them.

Worst Agency ever!
Cannot express how bad service I have been receiving from them. Up until you actually rent the property, they are ok, afterwords they just want their commission.
They don’t care about anything that you report, they say it’s the landlords holding back and when you speak with the landlords they say they haven’t been informed!!
Over 1 year I am waiting for them to send a specialist to check the windows, as they are properly sealed, so cold air and water comes in. Now over 1 week without washing machine and no information on when it will be fixed!!
Completely ridiculous!!
As I seen from comments, they only care for sales, not rentals.

We sold our house through the Oaks Streatham branch. Despite the first sale eventually falling through, James and Kane found us a buyer extremely quickly and negotiated a great price for us. The second attempt at securing a buyer took a little longer but we secured the sale relatively quickly and painlessly, which we were thankful for.
The team were always responsive and helpful throughout the process, despite it being a less than straightforward journey. I'd recommend Oaks.

The Team at Oaks Estate Agents, Streatham High Road SW16 did their best with utmost care about our predicament and supported us through it all. It was a difficult moment to get reference and ID for Tenancy agreement but for 14 days they held the property for us and ensure they stood between us and the Landlord.
Victoria was in charge of the letting and she was very professional and ensure successful handover of keys despite not being in office, by assigning other team member to complete the process. At the end, it is now history and we have moved in at last.

Do not use these agents. They try very hard on the initial sell, however it all falls apart the minute you have signed the contract and it is nothing but stress and heartache from there on in. I have never experienced such inept staff and the managers are rude. I told them initially that they came through a recommendation, however from drafting the contract to sending the deposit, there was nothing but errors, lack of communication and making me feel stupid. DO NOT USE.

Oakes were the estate agent representing the owner of the property I bought in July 2022 located in Streatham. They were excellent and much better than the estate agent that represented my sale (Barnard Marcus Streatham were useless), Steven at Oaks was always available, professional and always got back to me on the same day which was very helpful during a stressful sale. He offered a lot of guidance and advice when my own estate agent would not return my calls. If I was to sell my propety anytime soon I would have no hesitation to use Oaks or recommend them to another. It was a great experience. I found a property I liked on "Rightmove" and asked for more information. Mr Enrico Ricketts, a Senior Lettings Negotiator in Oaks Estate Agents, did my day when I called him. Just imagine that you are a foreigner and know almost nothing about the rental process in the UK, but you have a strict deadline and high requirements. Mr Enrico is who you need. I highly recommend this man and can rate his service as excellent.

The agent provided very few viewings to the property, though this could be related to other properties being listed in the area at the same time. Once an offer was made I felt the agent did a good job in the negotiation phase and was happy with the final offer that we accepted. During the after sales process I was able to obtain updates from the agent by phoning them directly, but would have preferred they called me and gave these updates so I would feel they were on top of the steps being taken by the buyer.

Although, my mother’s house sold…..eventually, I was not impressed with Oaks from the moment the house was marketed. The initial sales pitch from the manager in April 21 was convincing but as soon as the house was advertised, I realised that it was just sales pitch. The communication was sketchy at best with irregular feedback. All the way through the marketing of the property I was concerned at the lack of any firm interest or offers and as the end of the 12 contract was nearing, I began to search for alternative agents. However when I contacted Oaks, I was told that I had to give 4 week’s notice which angered me. I wanted to end the contract due to the aforementioned. The house was sold 7 months after going on sale. Inexplicably, I received no personal messages of congratulations or thanks for my business from the Oaks. Not professional at all. Furthermore, one of the negotiators had the audacity to contact me a week after sale, via txt to ask a trivial question on behalf of the new owner. I replied promptly and still did not receive a thank you. This only compounded a very disappointing experience.

Very good initial meeting with the salesman who was knowledgeable and friendly, but once the property was on the market their was minimal initiaive from them to do anything unless we prompted them first.
Perhaps this is standard estate agents, but it didn't feel like they were trying.

I have to take in to account that Covid-19 had an effect on normal processes. However, communication within this agent was poor. Right from the start the time booked for photos was miscommunicated. The process of viewings was the best thing that happened - Stephen was very good to work with. When contracts were exchanged, I heard from everyone else in the process with congratulations, but nothing from Oaks. I even had to contact them to ask what they wanted me to do with the keys!
