Barnard Macus in Thornton Heath is a good agent. Made professional pictures of our house, there was lots of buyers coming through the door, we got regular weekly updates.

The Estate Agent was very responsive and professional in the way that they dealt with our moving in. We truly appreciate them, for their hard work and commitment in trying to get us a house, as soon as we needed a place to stay. I will surely recommend them to anyone.

An absolutely awful branch of Barnard Marcus and gives the whole company a bad name!

As a buyer you should avoid at all cost, they will lie and cheat you and be boastful that they did so.

Alongside they are super unresponsive to emails and never return your calls, they will also blame you for not responding. According to these ‘experts’ 3 weeks is too long in a global pandemic to secure a mortgage, even though you can’t get an appointment for 4 weeks from application and banks are constantly changing their criteria.

They put properties back on the market whilst you are in the middle of purchasing them without even telling you and are super happy with themselves when they cause everything to fall through, so close to the completion.

The worst of them all is Romael, who is there residential sales manager, who is literally the rudest most arrogant person you will ever have dealings with. He does not know how to interact with other human beings or even how to relay bad news that he has caused. In fact he thinks he is doing a wonderful job messing with people and has no remorse what so ever- In his words “ I have no obligation to you ( buyer) only the seller, and I have done a great job as I have got them more money.” No apologies, no communication, literally has no compassion whatsoever.

Stay well clear of them as they are sneaky scammers, who have no problem stabbing you in the back, whilst they laugh.

I have been looking for a house for more than 6 months, many agents do not call me back to view other properties due to high demand. However, Martin was very professional, very calm and gave me hope. When I went for my first ever viewing he made sure I do not miss out and invited me to view another property the same day. Martin is very thoughtful and extremely helpful. I explained my situation and he gave me many options to choose from.

I moved with another Property Agent, but Martin’s service was extremely helpful! I will recommend anyone to go to Martin! He’s amazing!

I've had varied experiences with letting agents, but I must say that my interaction with the team at Barnard Marcus was extremely efficient, professional and easy. Martin (who was my agent) was absolutely amazing, I was kept in the loop every step of the way, he was extremely professional and knew what he was doing. He is honest and actually quite the agent, he was the reason I wanted the property even more.
