If I could leave 0 I would. The type of agency to be kind to your face but really will bully/ trick you for money. They recently forced a tenant into situation where they would be homeless by getting new tenants to sign a contract for the property when current tenants did not confirm a date to move out or that they were happy to proceed (this is before original tenancy was completed).
Then they proceeded to mock and gaslight the tenant for being scared of homelessness. They also overcharged the landlord.
Not to be trusted. Terrible service.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
This agent has attempted to force my partner out of her current rental property. They started viewings on the home and agreed to let the new tenant move in before they confirmed a move-out date with her.
After she asked them for help. They attempted to guilt trip her and bully her into moving into a property that was not suitable.
Agent is not to be trusted. They routinely go back on their word. They have made my partner feel desperate and pressured as she has nowhere to go.
I cannot recommend any agent that would act in such a way.
They agree a contract with a tenant without the current tenant having a move out date!!!

My experience with Stirling Ackroyd was outstanding from my very first interaction at the valuation stage all the way through to completion. Victor and Jo were really communicative, knowledgeable, persistent and I really felt like I could trust them. The service they provided made the stressful process of selling a house for the first time so smooth and almost enjoyable. Thanks guys, I would recommend you a thousand times over :)

The staff of Stirling Ackroyd deserve the 5 star review that we have given to them. We were not too certain of the house market climate with respect to certain issues when we put our house up for sale about 2 years ago when Covid was just starting to decline. They did their best to sell our property though we could not find any suitable property to buy at that time.
The second time around, early this year, we asked them to do the same again. They performed brilliantly.
The manager, Victor was brilliant. His team of workers are very efficient and they all communicate very well with clients giving updates and essential information during the entire process.
Victor and his team are well versed in and have a very good knowledge of the market situation, prices, pricing etc in the Thornton Heath and Croydon area. Joanna of the Thornton Heath branch and Sophie of the progression team were also brilliant.
All in all, we recommend their services for property sales and vouch for their professionalism, competency, communication and friendliness laden with customer respect & excellent customer service.

Great experience!
I was working abroad and could not view the house but Joanna reassured me that she would give me chance to view it at my return and this is what happened. I loved the flat and offered and I can finally say I purchased my first home! Thank you Joanna and also Sophie from the sales development team.

I don’t write reviews often but I had to because of the excellent service I received. Joanna is literally the best estate agent I have ever met, personable, very honest and goes above and beyond.. she really cared about our needs and knew what we were looking for in a property. Although we did not end up buying a property through Stirling ackroyd. Joanna did everything she could to help us find the right property, even to the point where she said to us that we should definitely buy the property we were looking at with another agent!
If we sell in the future we would definitely love to sell through Joanna! absolutely the best!

Sterling Ackroyd in Thornton Heath went the extra mile to do everything possible they could to sell my property and allow me to move. It took longer than expected but they persevered and eventually everyone in the chain was able to sell and move Thank you all.
