Belvoir sub let my daughter and her boyfriend an apartment that was a death trap. Had a prohibition order put on the property due to fire risk by The Leicester Fire Department. They had to evacuate. Left with no home, no compensation, no rent back and only offered half their deposit back even though they were not allowed back in to clean it. Belvoir have said its nothing to do with them. Be very careful which property you rent.

The team at Belvoir Loughborough were all extremely helpful when I popped in to enquire about rental properties for my son, arranging viewings at very short notice, and also giving details of properties due to come on the rental market in the near future. In the end, due to a change in circumstances, a rental was no longer required, but I would certainly recommend Belvoir Loughborough as a first port of call if you are looking for a property to rent in the local area.

Ash has been a great help throughout our whole experience of looking for and completing our first house purchase, he’s managed the communications between us and the vendor amazingly and has always kept us up to date with everything going on, never leaving us not knowing. I have dealt with Belvoir Loughborough as a landlord since 2013 for my rental property in Loughborough. Their service and response times have been beyond reproach at all times and I've had a very satisfactory service. All maintenance, rental payments (thank you Theresa) and any other issues over the years have been dealt with quickly and efficiently and I've been kept fully informed throughout. I have travelled away outside the UK for many months at a time since 2013 safe in the knowledge that my tenants and my investment property were well looked after at all times. Finally, having decided to sell up, James Lee the owner of Belvoir Loughborough, found me a buyer at a good price and sold the property for me in a swift and smooth transaction; couldn't ask for anything more. 10/10 Belvoir!

Dillan is an absolutely fantastic guy! He dealt with our application with utmost professionalism and understanding. Belvoir is definitely the go to company, and more especially so for researchers. Just last week I heard of a reseacher who's application had been denied within 24 hours but that wasn't the case with us. Dillan paid attention to all the nitty-gritties pertaining to our unique case thus delivering a fantastic and much appreciated service. In the initial stages of our tenancy Belvoir was a responsive letting agency, and the process of renting was made easy by their support. However, upon leaving the property we were charged with several claims for cleaning and mould treatment. Despite having already raised the mould as an issue previously with Belvoir. After an independent review, it was deemed we were not eligible to pay the £125 for oven cleaning and mould treatment as suggested by Belvoir. I would also like to raise my concern that in the three years of renting our property, Belvoir visited once despite saying they were coming several times as part of their standard checks, they did not come.

We’re so lucky to have dear Sarah Monk, Belvoir Loughborough office, to deal with our rental application. She’s processed our application so efficiently. Although we had to cancel the application due to the government's ban of activities during the epidemic, Miss Sarah Monk still enthusiastically handled the refund of the Holding Deposit for us, which let us so moved and feel warm in current difficult time. Just bought a house on Mountsorrel Lane, Rothley , through Belvoir Loughborough. From the start Ellie Beale was very friendly and efficient. She kept me updated and was very helpful throughout the whole process. The other members of the team that I spoke to were also helpful and pleasant. Just sold a property on Mountsorrel Lane, Rothley. Ellie Beale proved to be straight talking and did what she said she would do. She kept us informed at every stage and also got us above the asking price. The absence of BS was a refreshing change and I would use her again. By far the worst experience I've ever had renting a flat from some of the rudest people i have had the misfortune to encounter. ive rented 7 property's before. Belvoir admitted to braking the contract they laid out. and wouldn't give me the deposit back in full despite the fact i left the flat cleaner than i found it and the oven in the flat was not fit for purpose. please do not rent to or from these scum. hope no one has the same experience as me

Two particular guys that work there were fantastic (Elliott and Tom) - very helpful when I had to rearrange a viewing for a property and really accommodating. Tom, who showed us around the property, really put myself and my mother at ease and made it really easy to ask questions and not feel nervous. Very informal but in a professional way. Absoloutely fantastic - if I can, I'll use their services again and again!

I have rated 1 star because there is no option for zero. I have rented with many different estate agents in the past with no problems and this is by far the worst rude service i have ever experienced with renting a property.
I ended up buying my own electric heaters and proffessional dehumidifier to combat damp and just to keep warm. The boiler had packed up and when i emailed,/ telephoned/ met with them, i was not taken seriously at all/never received an apology and took two months to get fixed, only to pack up again on christmas eve.
The property was unsafe both with paving slabs on a 45 degree angle in the garden, and i later found out that the communal fire alarms had not been working for the 8 months that i had rented there (great if there had been a fire!). Also when winter hit, the apartment fell below 10 degrees when i had my son over who is 2 years old, not acceptable.
As for the deposit, A complete rip off. Be warned, these people will claw back every penny they can even if its in a better state than what you get it in. Kiss good bye to your deposit. There fees are completely extortionate. (£35.00 to put up a single curtain pole with 2 screws). When actually its obvoiusly just DIY dave or the landlord making a quick back hander.
If you are thinking of renting with these people, think twice. Very rude customer service, if you can call it customer service and clearly have no regard at all for the tenants. Only to profit themselves or the landlord. They say they run a professional maintenance department but actually they couldn't even organise a p*ss up in a brewery.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

"Just bad" was wrote I wrote a couple of weeks ago after poor service, then on Friday they rang, kind of half apologised and asked my to "take my review down". Crazy. Looks like they are great for landlords from the positive reviews and terrible for tenants. I will be avoiding these jokers from now on. I mean, who rings a customer and asks then to take down a review???? AVOID! Is it possible to give a ZERO * rating.

I had an excellent experience with Belvoir Loughborough during all 3 stages of me renting a house: during the process before my moving in, while I was a tenant for 2 years (all problems were solved immediately), and during my moving out. I particularly appreciated that once they verified that I left the house in a really good condition at the end of my tenancy, they returned the full of my deposit without playing any tricks, which is not what I'd say for other landlords I had in the past. Therefore, I would recommend Belvoir Loughborough to anyone.

totally agree with the above post biggest rip off estate agents i've ever been with , never gave my deposit back in full.the woman very rude be warned when renting from these people
the house i rented was dirty old and diy dave had been in to do most of the work by the looks of it , i left it in better condition than when i was handed the keys
some muppet had taped up the electrics on the lawn mower with packing tape unbelievable
and they show clients around without letting you know

I cannot recommend Belvoir sales and letting services to highly. In May Steven Richards helped me put up my sons flat up for sale ( my son lives abroad) his attention to detail was outstanding and he liased with both myself, my son and his tenant on a regular basis . Unfortunately brexit meant We had to abdon selling the flat and return to renting, Steven was more than happy to take on the task of letting the flat , finding me a tennant and leading me through the process dealing with both me and getting relevant paper work from my son abroad. Nothing was to difficult for Steven, no phone / email went unanswered.
He quickly found us a good tennant and when this tennant moves on I will certainly use Belvoirs services again.

Belvoir Loughborough acted for me for a number of years as letting agent for my property in Loughborough, and also as sales agent when I decided to sell the property. I have been impressed by the service I have received from Belvoir throughout the time they acted for me. Particularly when trying to sell my house, which was a very difficult process, they were very professional and responsive, always keeping me updated. They went out of their way to help resolve the issues I had with both mine and the buyer's solicitors and the local council. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone requiring a letting or sales agent.

After a four year tenancy & countless broken promises to sort out the damp & garden issues, Belvoir thought it appropriate to withhold my deposit on the flimsiest of reasons.
Please be aware that in the event of any dispute they simply wash their hands of any responsibility & blame the landlord. (A landlord that they will not permit you to have any contact with)
If you are counting on getting your deposit/bond back to go towards your next property, don't hold your breath waiting.
laziness, dishonesty & penny pinching is no way to repay loyal customers.
Would neither use nor recommend Belvoir Loughborough again!
