I am extremely satisfied with Benham & Reeves. The whole team has been very supportive, helpful and offered an honest advice and answered all my questions and concerns. The whole process of renting including referencing etc was quick, it took about a week and I was ready to move into my flat within 2 weeks.
I would like to mention Ivan, who was brilliant, very professional, respectful and easy to deal with. Also, Silvana was exceptional, not only very helpful, meticulous and efficient, but also kind, caring, patient and understanding. Lastly, I would like to mention Peter, who made sure that I am happy in my new place and that everything is fine.
I would not hesitate to recommend Benham & Reeves to anyone looking for a place to rent. They are exceptional!

So disappointed with the service. We rent a flat but the vent is constantly on during midnight, we can’t fall asleep and the agent fooled us from the beginning. They didn’t let us talk with the previous tenant about how they feel. We rent the flat without knowing the noise pollution, and complain about it many times still got no solution. I need to take pills to help me sleep now, also caused me anxiety. Don’t trust anything from the agent, worst service ever.

We were mid-conveyancing on a property through another Estate Agent as FTB’s when it was sold without warning by Benham & Reeves to other buyers. We lost our new home, our legal fees, our survey costs, mortgage offer, and low interest rate. We even started looking at furniture!
Benham & Reeves not only condones “gazumping,” but clearly encourages it. What a shame that such a long standing institution has such unethical practices and little integrity.
Response: Nowhere did I say I registered with you and nowhere did I say you were unlawful. I said gazumping, which you welcome, is unethical. Any house buyer in the country would agree. Your practices and actions as a company directly affected me in my house purchase, so I left a review - to call me “unethical” for writing it is ludicrous. Buyers should be made aware of which estate agents have no problem encouraging gazumping so far into conveyancing. If you find this “perplexing,” that’s even more concerning.
My conveyancer was utterly appalled by you and your sellers (who were a faceless property investment firm).

I had such a difficult time to find a flat in London and have talked to so many agents for weeks, but none of them are nearly as good as Ivan! He & Silvana really helped me a lot during the whole process and always replied very quickly to my emails. They explained all of the process clearly to me and very understanding of my situation moving from outside of UK. I can't ask for better people to assist me, 10/10 would recommend!

Terrible real estate agency. Five months into my tenancy, my partner and I found ourselves trapped in the building, with no alternative door or escape exit. This happened because the real estate agent did not provide us with a full set of keys.
They had guaranteed us that only two of the locks for the only way out of the building were functioning and that there was no need for the key for the third lock. To our surprise all three locks were being used by other residents within the building.
When I tried to address this issue with the property manager, he responded rudely and on the defensive. It was only when I threatened with legal action that they provided me with the full set of keys.
They did not seem to realise that having no access to an escape route, is a huge health hazard.
Furthermore, it’s been two weeks since I’ve moved out and have been trying to reach them to settle on the deposit and they have ignored every single email my partner and I have sent.
AVOID like the plague!

During flat search, it is very usual to met with some agents that they only try to get your money. Peter and Ivan from Benham & Reeves Letting Agents were not one of them. Thanks to them, I rented a very nice flat in Highgate, London. They are experienced and kind agents which makes a huge difference. Definitely recommended.
