Tennants beware! We've waited over 4 weeks for an update on our deposit since vacating one of their properties. This was delayed because our landlords had conveniently gone on holiday.

Chancellors have since responded and are currently trying to take £800+ in "maintenance costs". They didn't even send a breakdown or an itemised bill of these costs. It's another thing we've had to chase.

They want a brand new toilet! A new bath panel! The house wasn't even that great of shape when we first moved in. There has been no deliberate damage caused to this property and after two years they should allow wear and tear. The things listed are very minor but are charging a small fortune.

As tenants we don't feel as though we have any support from Chancellor's. We'll probably have to go through TDS of any chance of seeing our money back which will only drag out longer.

This is a time where we need this money more than ever. We looked after this home as if it were our own and left it in the best possible condition we could. It was not perfect to start with and these charges are completely unreasonable. Please avoid.

I can definitely recommend the Chancellors in Kidlington if you are looking to rent in the area. They were very friendly, extremely helpful, and provided constant updates. We received far better service here than any other agent we tried, and can especially recommend them if you're having trouble finding a pet-friendly property, as they definitely go the extra mile to help you out. Special thanks to Kayleigh and Jack for looking after us.

DO NOT USE.... Chancellors valued my property way higher than it is worth to win business. Do not fall for the same mistake I did... they have lots of market presence but notice that 95% are for sale and not sold. They tie you in to a long sole agency contract and just ask you to reduce.. sometimes twice in the space of one week!!!

My property was on the market in June and they have not had one viewing. When out of contract, they tried to claim if I go with another agent, be sure of who their introduced buyers are. By 'Introduced', they classify this as someone spoken to about your property and not necessarily actually been out to view. Based on this I was expecting at least 100 people being in the profession myself. When withdrawn the list of 'spoken to / emailed to' buyers was no more than 30. They claim to be a good agent and use neighboring offices to play to their advantage however clearly this had not been done due to the few people spoken to despite being on market for 3 months.

Leads were missed and or not called until the next day. Not a proactive agent and only interested in the money-earners. Anyone with a 1/2 bedroom - AVOID AVOID AVOID.
