After we offered on a flat and the landlord accapted, we paid the holding deposit. After paying the holding deposit, they went on and proceed with the other viewings and then let someone else do an offer while seeing our offer!
They took holding deposit from us and still didn’t hold the flat for us.

I was recently hunting for a flat to rent in central London - after making the decision to move back to the UK from Canada - and sought out Chestertons, along with other estate agency firms, to help me with my search.
I was contacted by one of their agents, Katherine Ma, who after our initial conversation, sent me a number of listings that matched my criteria and arranged a number of viewings for me. I was impressed with Katherine's professionalism, organisational skills and knowledge of the ins-and-outs of the Kensington area. She's also an attentive listener and took my comments - positive and negative - about the properties we viewed in stride. Katherine was actually the only agent who proactively arranged viewings of multiple properties over a set block of time - this was a thoughtful touch.
Chestertons seems to be consistent in having a good selection of properties in their portfolio, so it should be worth your time perusing their website and contacting Katherine or their office in your search for a central London home.

Just want to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the unpleasant experience with one of the senior negotiator M. I am so surprised by her lack of professionalism: either a no show or late for viewing appointment, even you had to call a husband times to notice her. Also she could easily cancel your viewing with a simple excuse and no response then even she promised to reschedule. Worst experience during my property hunting.

I would like to offer our sincere thanks and appreciation to Ms. Angelina Malinina (Senior Property management Consultant) at Chestertons Property Mgt company.
Ms. Malinina, who came into the picture just about after we had informed Chestertons of our decision to terminate tour cooperation, had been an extremely helpful and accommodating consultant during the last 2 months of our relationship with Chestertons.
More specifically, Ms. Malinina went out of her way to provide us with the information we needed. We asked for spreadsheet of credits & debits and balances for the whole year of 2022, list of pending payments to Chestertons, cancellation of our contract with Chestertons and many other inquiries we had. She made time to meet with us in London during our last visit in March 2023. She did this despite the fact that she knew we were seizing our relationship with Chestertons, and there would probably be no incentive or credit for her in supporting us. I know she worked overtime to accommodate us.
Clearly, Ms. Malinina is a very conscientious and reliable employee who knows how to treat her customers and provide the highest quality of service. We truly appreciated her assistance!

They are very personable and professional, everything's well organised and booked in ahead of time and we never have any issues with getting the correct keys etc which really helps our day to run smoothly. Can't fault them at all!!

This dodgy incident would never ever happen from any letting agency unless if it lacks the basic professionalism , reliability and courtesy !

I have been dealing with many agencies over the last 15 years , to let my property, to let a property but by far this is the worst agency . Unreliable , unprofessional and time waster .
As I am always busy with my work ,I called them and put an offer for 3 years and wanted to book viewing on the day
. Someone named ALEXANDRA CARBERRY in the Letting team is extremely unprofessional and a real time waster !! . She was supposed to get back to me to confirm the viewing but she left me all day waiting and ruined my plans. I have been in touch the agency director on the following day , who was helpful and booked the viewing for me ,I had to change my plans to do the viewing later on the day BUT she came back few hours later to cancel the viewing and giving a very poor excuse that the flat is no longer available !!!so again she wasted my time and ruined my plans .
Very unprofessional with zero decency !! Unfortunately such kind of persons give a very poor image about the agency .I saw another flat later in the evening with another agency , which is very good and professional , and I put an offer .
I would give 0/5 for my experience with Chestertons and I would not recommend them at all.

I worked with Eliza from the S. Kensington office. She was great and very helpful. We toured a few of the properties that I had asked to see but after talking and finding out exactly what I was looking for she suggested another flat that was a slightly better location and better overall unit. it was unfurnished and I was looking for a furnished unit. I rented the unit and she assisted in helping me rent some furniture in the short term while my furniture was being relocated from the US. Highly recommend Chestertons! Jada was amazing to work with. She tailored the viewings based on my preferences, and was thorough with it. She followed up just the right amount, never being too pushy (which is an issue with so many agents). She was also willing to show the same flat multiple times to satisfy my questions! The lease signing process was seamless, and was managed all while I was in another country! They are also among very few agents that have a wide range of pet friendly flats. They are definitely the agency to go to, if you have a little pooch and are struggling to find flats in London! Good luck!

Although I decided not to rent in the end, the level of service from Chesterton's at South Ken was absolutely brilliant. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and will use again when I decide to rent.

Antonia was extremely professional and very helpful in our letting hunt.
