Not happy at all with this branch,you really need to avoid this branch. I got them to do a valuation of the house, and Luk came around – he walked in without asking anything, was in and out in 2 minutes. It’s been 4 weeks and still nothing from them. I called the branch an 1 week ago and explained the situation. The guy on the phone, who claimed to be the manager, said they take their job seriously and promised to get back to me that day. Needless to say, he never did. Honestly, this lot are a complete waste of time.

If I could leave a zero star review it would be more fitting!
I was under the impression that when selling a property the agent you engaged worked for you to sell your property.
Connells at Leagrave excelled themselves at living up to the appalling service and tactics exposed in the less than complimentary documentary about them.
They hardly ever give you feedback about viewings, when you telephone to chase them up on progress they do not answer your calls or are not available to take your call.
After giving notice, that we did not have to give, they were reluctantly given extra time.
It is evident from the conversations that were actually had with them that they were pressuring prospective buyers to meet with their mortgage team wanting them to agree to taking on their services. One particular prospective buyer actually had already met with mortgage advisors at another branch but were pressurised to go into Leagrave! We have no idea what happened to this buyer and whether or not they withdrew their offer…..no feedback.
Then we were advised that a previous prospective buyer was ‘back on the scene’. Strangely enough our solicitor knew nothing about this and neither did the other side’s solicitor! Even though having been advised by John that exchange and completion would be in two weeks.
Having finally had enough of their lies and deception we have parted ways with them and then received an email containing a list of viewings, cancelled viewings, offers etc which half of it is new news to us or makes no sense and confirms the ‘back on the scene’ prospective buyer was never back on the scene!
Don’t waste your time, effort or energy on Connells. Avoid at all costs!!!

Very bad service indeed...the estate agent showed my mums house with the curtains shut. It wasn't until I waited outside to witness this...the agent.was a bit dim and scruffy. Nearly at exchange. However would never recommend this branch or company to anyone. No one seems to know what anyone is doing. Poor show. Must try harder.

Extremely Disappointed – Unjust Parking Fine After Branch Visit
I had an appointment at Connells Leagrave on 2nd June 2025 to see a mortgage advisor. As instructed, I made sure my car registration was correctly logged in their system upon arrival. Despite this, I received a parking ticket a month later, which should never have been issued.
I immediately returned to the branch and spoke with a staff member who admitted it was likely an error and assured me it would be escalated and resolved. Yet, weeks later, I received a civil enforcement notice demanding £100. When I called again, I was told they were still “looking into it” with no clear resolution.
This has caused me unnecessary stress and frustration, especially since I did nothing wrong. The issue appears to be due to poor internal processes or communication between Connells and their parking enforcement partner. I expected better from a company that deals with something as important as property and mortgages.
Still waiting for a proper resolution, a formal apology, and confirmation that this unjust fine will be cancelled. Very disappointed and would caution others to be extremely careful when parking at this branch – even if you follow all the rules.

We recently viewed a property through this agency and really liked it, so we made an offer. During the viewing, the agent kept pressuring us to see their in-house mortgage advisor. My husband and I declined, as I had already approached them previously and they were unable to help.
The next day, we received a phone call insisting that we must meet with their mortgage advisor—even though we already had a mortgage in principle. They claimed it was just to verify affordability and said we didn’t have to proceed with their advisor, but the pressure was clear.
Unfortunately, the same property was also listed with another agent, but once I informed them I had already made an offer through the first agency, they said they couldn’t help further.
With no other option, we reluctantly agreed to meet with the mortgage advisor. He reviewed all our documents—especially as our own house was also listed for sale through another branch of the same agency. Despite having access to our details, he kept urging me to give their services a try. I clearly stated we were happy to go up to the asking price, but we wanted to continue using our existing mortgage broker. He said that was fine and assured us he would forward everything to the branch manager and the vendor, and we’d hear back soon.
That was over a month ago.
We’ve had no update—no confirmation, no rejection, absolutely nothing. We now believe the lack of response is likely because we refused to use their mortgage advisor.
I had been considering making a formal complaint, but after reading recent news about this agency, I’m sadly not surprised. I now doubt whether they ever seriously tried to sell my property either, despite the number of viewings we had.
We will never use this agency again.

If i have choice of giving in minus - i should give -5 rating once taking fees start ignoring even sitting in the office and telling other colleague I'm not in the office took £699 fees and too much mantly stress wasting my almost 3 months for the mortgage at the end i have to find another mortgage broker who gave me offer letter in 5 days which didn't highly not recommended to everyone no refund nothing i lost my £699 for nothing .

Had a great experience viewing a property with this branch. The entire team was professional and welcoming, making the process smooth from start to finish. Adom was especially helpful—patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all my questions. Avoid avoid avoid !!!! Lack of communication, totally ignoring their clients - no answers to the emails, no communication between colleagues in the team total lack of professionalism!!! I’ve waisted couple of months trying to sell my house with them !!! Quality and quantity of photos completely ruined my sell !!! Photographer did not listen to my requests !!! Plenty of appointments never appeared waisted my time at work !!! They haven’t let me know for over 4 weeks that agreed sale been cancelled by buyer and no new appointments during that time !!! Complete waist of time and money !!! Avoid avoid avoid !!! And even no response to cancellation notice and keys to my property never been returned !!!

Despite complaining, the Leagrave branch continue to display misleading images of a neighbours house for sale. 2 of the photos clearly show my property and personal pathway up to my front door which is then being used by potential buyers to view the house next door.
Update 2 weeks since the above post...... 4 more e-mails, 1 phone call and a conversation on the doorstep with a member of your team and STILL no resolution and STILL you continue to falsely advertise the property next door by including the pathway which belongs to our property.

Very rude and unprofessional. Male sales agent resorted to dog tactics when I told him My offer has been accepted somewhere else so please cancel booked viewings. He talked about my area having a very high crime rate, he’s got 6 better cheaper properties and basically chatting S##t. I now see why they are very unpopular locally.

After being turned down for a mortgage I decided to go with Connell's mortgage advisor. Michael was a breath of fresh air, he kept me up to date with the whole process,got me a great mortgage deal within two days. I found that he was very knowledgeable within his field and was happy to help at all times.

Staff are very stuck-up and arrogant. They lack empathy and made me feel bad for being a tenant. They go by instructions given to them half a year ago - I wonder if they ever update their records. They called me up at work, then were rude and unapologetic about it. I don't see how sitting in a poxy chair makes you feel so pleased with yourself. Don't recommend - don't waste your time with these people.

I signed a contract to rent a property through Ideal Properties, paid a deposit and months rent in advance and was trying to settle in when a Connell Estate Agent rep barged into my house with two buyers. My son with special needs opened the door and without seeking permission before entering neither introducing themselves, all three people walked right in and comfortably toured the house. It was disgusting and being in the property profession, I expected them to have the etiquette of visiting someone's house while they are living there. I was not aware that the property was up for sale currently and signed a 1 year contract with the hope of extending it. I'll be in touch with Connells to make a formal complaint about their worker. He was unexpected, rude, disrespectful and lacked etiquettes.
