Quite simply without Danielle's persistence and knowhow, I would not have been in a position to complete my recent property purchase. Fast, reliable and friendly - Connells have been great all round.
A special shout out to their Senior Mortgage Consultant Danielle Tortosa. If it wasn't for Danielle being so approachable and having a genuine interest on what a family home looked like for us I don't believe we would have managed to secure the property we did. She went above and beyond her role in my opinion, not only was she constantly checking mortgage rates and ended up saving us hundreds on the monthly repayments but, when it came to crunch time she also chased our buyers, chased solicitors, made sure people were working to our timeline etc because she understood the importance of what we needed.
The sales team are also fantastic, Bea is brilliant to work with and is great at keeping you up to date.
I will use Connells again for sure and Danielle is someone I will certainly return to for Mortgage renewals & advice.

Where do we start.
As bitter as I may sound this is all true.
And we even tried to make an official compliant and that was ignored several times too....
1. Moving in day one....we discover a massive while in the carpet made by an iron had been hidden by a black bin bag on our first viewing. As we were moving in we werent happy at all. Iron shape aside they claimed the carpet had been cleaned. It was filthy!
We had to put our furniture in the garden as we insisted the carpet is replaced
2. Email after email after email ignored and not an apology in site.
8including chasing issues not being fixed or even acknowledged
3. Staff constantly leaving and out contact changes as regular as clockwork meaning any problem you have has 5o start all over again as the staff now in charge of us knows nothing.
Followed by I will sort this dont worry only for them to leave and the problem starts all over again
4. The shed !
Another hole made by rodents hidden by an ood recycling bin. We reported this in march 2021 as we discovered it had got worse and now had mice. See comment 3….up to renewal you said we werent happy about beoflem promises. We were then told by renewable team a new shed had been purchased and he could see it once his "screen" . So we trusted them..big mistake it has a lie and when chased claimed that was never said! Fast forward end of year 2…mice had turned into rats. See point 3…again…we gave up and left the property.
5. Getting your deposit back was easy right??? Wrong ! Had to appeal to TDS .why ? See point 3 again!
6. Before we even decided to move in we asked permission to have a dog. Yes you can here is email on my request stating that…glad I did as after 1 year this permission was news to them. Gladly I had proof !
I could go on and on and on
The stress worry anxiety and time spent with Connells isnt worth £1 a month rent !
Trust me avoid avoid avoid.
These guys will feed u BS and try to make you believe you are the one making it up !

Waited a week and a half to view 2 properties that apparently weren’t available to view.
On the day the viewings were both cancelled, no reason why. When I asked why and to reschedule, no response.
I enquired why again and once again no response.
If you’re selling through these people don’t bother I have funds ready and no chain and they couldn’t be less interested

I really don't like to give bad reviews, but the service received from Connells Lettings in the past year was unacceptable, especially for a quite high management fee. And yes, I was happy to pay, because my experience of buying with them was extraordinary. They really need to up their game on the Lettings side, customer service, informing customers, communication, fully serve their contractual obligations.

I came home to find a hand delivered piece of marketing material through my letterbox with a reference number asking me to call them. Called them as I thought it was important however it turns out it was not. It was a clear breach of any professional standards estate agents are supposed to have. I am selling through another agent and they were trying to talk me into using them. If I wanted to use you I would have called you! With COVID rates as high as they are I am surprised they are allowed to go posting things through homes as that doesn't seem too COVID safe to me. Completely unprofessional and sneaky tactic.

Initial service they seemed committed and confident to sell the property . We paid extra for the premium package which turned out to be a pointless waste of money! As time went on they became disinterested in trying to sell especially after a sale fell through and it appeared we were more of a burden to them with lack of communication including failing to tell us when viewings were booked. Even after the sale fell through the sold sign was put up and mislead potential buyers! As the property appeared to be sold! Overall disappointing service

The most painful experience from start to finish (& its not over yet).
We rented a house for £2,650 a month & for the entire 18 months we were there we wasted countless hours trying to persuade Connells to meet their responsibilities.
+ All the drains stank to the point we couldn't use ensuite bedrooms for MONTHS whilst Connells ignored every maintenance request
+ We only had access to the garage & utility room for the final weeks of our stay as they never gave us keys we asked for daily
+ Roof leaked - they did nothing
+ No TV aerial - they eventually fitted one & then never paid the contractor so he took it down again
+ No contractors turned up when they were supposedly booked wasting days & days of us sitting waiting / phoning / chasing
+ Expected us to wait in for every appointment to save them visiting
+ Lied ALL the time - regularly caught out lying in emails
+ Entered the property without permission & with no notice
+ Entered the property after specifically being told they could not
And now - despite the landlord agreeing we can have our deposit back WEEKS ago - Connells won't return our £3,600 deposit, send a copy of their complaints procedure as requested or respond to emails. We left the property TWO months ago & the Check-Out Clerk was happy that the property was returned in immaculate condition.

I am an inventory clerk. I look at houses after tenants have left and report on what, if any, cleaning, maintenance, repairs and so on need doing.
I was asked by a lettings clerk at Connells, Bicester, to do an urgent checkout at a house they manage in the town. The next day. I went to the house. The tenants had moved but the landlords were there. The landlords didn’t want to use me, as they had no time for Connells. I told them I was independent, so they asked me to do the report. I did it (without going on endlessly, the landlord was justified in their concerns about Connells).
I sent the report to Connells. They received it but never paid my bill. After a month of waiting and fruitless chasing, I passed the bill and a complaint to the clerk’s lettings manager at Bicester. No response -except an out of office auto reply – from him. either.
No complaint from Connells or question of it, just no response.
I have been running my own business since about 1990. Of the dozens of lettings companies I have dealt with in that time, Connells, lettings, Bicester is the most unprofessional company . I have ever dealt with.
I stress that this is not general complaint about Connells (or indeed sales at Connells Bicester). I have done work for them elsewhere and they have been fine.

We bought a house via Connells Estate Agents in Bicester and had an appalling experience, from being bullied by the negotiator to outright harassment. Incidentally it was very interesting to find out from the sellers what he was telling them about us as buyers which was totally untrue.

I would like to praise the staff for their efficiency and friendliness. They were helpful and communication was brilliant, any queries or questions I had were dealt with straight away and if the answer was not known on the spot a phone call was received once they had retrieved the relevant information. Its a pity not all agents can be as helpful as this branch as I have had dealings with a few different agents over the last six months and service was not even on a par. I would highly recommend this agency!!
