We've been renting with Conran for 2 months now and the service is one of the best. I've rented through different agencies before, had viewings with oh-so-many more and Conran definitely stands out!
When Lorraine showed us the property, it was almost a half an hour long viewing and she really took the time to answer all our questions regarding not only the property itself, but also the signing process, referencing, and then the renting itself.
We dealt with Ruby as well, who was kindly taking care of us for part of the referencing process. Annie at the reception was great, very patient and lovely each time! Amazingly lovely team overall.
Regarding problems fixing around the property, the property management team is great, especially Owain! Everything has been solved pretty quickly.

We instructed Conran to sell our property in Plumstead SE18. The initial meeting with the team went well and they were in regular contact at the beginning of the process. Admittedly, Conran did manage to get regular viewings at our property.
However, towards the end of their contracted time, communication became an issue. Emails and text messages were missed which prevented viewings from taking place.
We ended up carrying out a viewing ourselves, two days after my wife had given birth, as Conran had cancelled it despite multiple messages to them to go ahead. Thankfully we did, as these viewers eventually bought the property.
I found there was a real lack of communication during the sale process. No phone calls were made or voicemails left until the day of completion.
However, communication has since improved as the fee is now due to be paid..
Discussions have been had with Conran regarding the service we received. However, they attempt to defend their actions instead of acknowledging their mistakes.
Overall, disappointed with the service provided considering the amount Conran are paid.

It was brilliant working with Asiah and her team. I can't thank them enough.
The 1st win was, within a month of listing the house I had two offers at the higher end of the asking price. Also second win, first offer fell through pretty quickly but they somehow got me a an even higher second offer very quickly.
Third win, even though I made a mistake of finding a not so good solícitor, and I am being extremely kind), Asiah always kept me up to date, so whenever the buyer was getting impatient because of lack of response from my solicitor. I was be able to chase them to respond. Not only that, she was excellent at managing expectations with the buyer.
So my lesson from this, make sure you hire a good estate agent first and foremost with knowledge of your local area. Conran filled all these requirements.
Second lesson for me is not to hire a solicitor before talking to them. They can easily ruin your sale.
But all ended well anyway. Thanks Conran

It took us over a year to sell our house. It wasn't Conran's fault - the property was problematic, and the first buyer pulled out in the last moment, and then another one pulled out, too. Conran's team never gave up on us and kept working tirelessly on finding us a new buyer.
I've dealt with a few of their colleagues - Michael, Hulya, another lady whose name I forgot. But above all, I would like to mention how absolutely brilliant Kellie was. I couldn't have asked for a better agent - apart from her application to duty, she is kind, empathetic, patient, and altogether a wonderful human being. We have used Conran at Charlton for the sale of our mid-terraced house in Charlton. We had an offer within 5 days of listing ;). However this is only a fraction of the outstanding personal service, which we have continuously received by Kellie Kemp. She was the difference between completing close to my deadline and saving thousands of pounds of interest per day and not completing at all. If it was not her to chase the buyers solicitors, the buyers and our solicitors and offer them solutions to their hurdles and objections and more or less do their job for them we would h have completed with months of delay. All in all if I can rate Kellie with 10 out of 10 I would rate her as ONE million, not just 10.

We instructed Conran for the sale of our house in SE18 and were really pleased with their whole ethos. We had spoken with a handful of the local estate agents but having listened to Michael, the head of sales at Conran we were reassured that they would offer a unique and more personable approach and indeed this turned out to be the case.
We sold for more than any of the other agents had promised would be the ceiling price and the whole process was made smooth and actually fairly enjoyable.

The peoples there are very nice and helpful, i had the issue with the person she was assigned to assist me for this 1 year contract, any request i make to her she just decline it, she was so unprofessional, she gave us a date to move in and i book a company to move and i pay them 395 pounds, and i ask her if we can get the keys to clean the house , and she said no until there is inventory check, i said the house has just 1 ref and 1 washing machine, its in bad condition, we wont take anything, and she decline, i said can you arange the inventory check 1 day before? she said no, i ask can atleast clean the house because we have a kid and this house is with carpet? she again decline, i supposed to rate as the worst agency i ever been for house because of that specific person. Everything looked so bad and i was so angry UNTIL SHE CAME in our life, Debbie Lewis send me an email that she will take it from now on, she arranged everything in the timeline that we had, she helped us so much the moment she took our case over, she is the only reason i dont rate Conran with 1 star. I will advice you if you rent from conran to request her to help you with everything because she is amazing and absolutly professional. THANK YOU so much DEBBIE you are amazing.
To clarify something, we rented the house from Conran in Charlton, BUT the person who was responsible for our bad experience is not from Conran in Charlton, Those peoples in Charlton are amazing and helpful, i rated 4 stars because the negative feelings that i felt with this lady who didnt want to help us and make our life bit easy was so strong, if Debbie was from the beginning with us for sure i will add 5++ stars.

We had a pleasant experience as a first time buyer using Conran and felt that overall the agents we worked with were calm, helpful and didn't put too much pressure on us.
The reason for the 4/5 is that we did feel a little bit rushed at the end with our conveyancers advice to get a deed of variance for the ground rent and threats of the seller's seller pulling out. We've heard this before and I do wonder if it's a tactic to exchange and complete (it may not be). The seller's solicitor did give some good logic to proceed without it though, however there is always a chance this will come back and cause us problems when we try and sell.
Overall we love the property we purchased and are grateful to Will and Jodie for all their help and being pleasant to work with. We would also definitely consider using Conran again down the line should we be selling, buying or renting, and would also recommend them. A big thanks to them for helping us with the purchase.

If I could give 0 stars I would.
We booked two viewings for rental apartments, working a 9-5pm means that we could only go after work. We booked viewings for 5.30pm. At 5pm we are already on our way to the viewing (travelling from Leyton). The estate agent calls to say the staff member who booked the viewing was off sick and therefore there was no one available to do the viewing. It's 5pm, surely you knew this staff member was sick already? You could have called anytime in the day to reschedule with us.
We speak on the phone with the agent, who calls us back saying that he can reorganise his schedule so that he could do the viewing himself and that the viewing can go ahead.
We get to the viewing for 5.30pm and we get a call from the same agent who tells us, the staff member who's off sick, has the keys to both the apartments so unfortunately he can't do the viewings.
Mateee you could of told us that before we travelled 45minutes to get to Charlton...will be boycotting your services from now on.

A massive THANK YOU to Will Roden and his colleagues at Conran, who recently looked after me during the purchase of my new home in Charlton. Will in particular was absolutely amazing at guiding me through what was, at times, a very stressful process. I am so grateful for the extra effort he put in (including chasing up the solicitors on his days off!) to help me complete my purchase before the end of the stamp duty holiday. On the initial viewings (he took me to see several Conran-advertised properties) I was very impressed by his knowledge of the homes he was selling and of the local neighbourhood, and he was able to answer all of my questions quickly and accurately. He was absolutely instrumental at making sure the sale finally completed, as there were quite a few hiccups along the way due to the sellers having issues with the new house they were purchasing. The staff at Conran, Abby in particular, did an outstanding job during our process of purchasing a house.
In the early stages, they were very accommodating when it came to visit properties several times, including with our builder.
Once we had decided on a property, they were very honest about the length of the process (which cannot be said for others involved in the process) and very responsive to our queries. They were very good at organising details around the surveys we had conducted in the house. Finally, they helped maintaining communication between the different parties open until the very end, which was crucial in pushing the deal over the line.

To call Aidans support with Conran through our property purchase as fantastic would be an understatement.
Aidan was with us every step of the way, he provided an incredibly high level of support, made himself available to us when we needed to talk about our purchase, any question big or small and did it all with good humour and authenticity!
We were working to a very tight deadline to make this sale within the original stamp duty holiday deadline and Aidan really helped us oiling the wheels and getting responses from the sellers side. We purchased a property through Conran's Charlton branch and were delighted with the experience. Our main contact was Abbie Kendall, but we also had interactions - all of which were great - with Michael and Rob. We felt really supported throughout our buying experience. When the first property we were interested in didn't pan out (also listed through Conran), Abbie gave us the heads up about another one that would shortly be coming onto the market which she thought we might be interested in and was very much worth a look. We were feeling a bit disheartened after things didn't progress with the initial property we liked but Abbie really encouraged us to take a look at the other one so we booked in a viewing and made an offer shortly after. Throughout the buying process Abbie was responsive and a pleasure to deal with. When exchange day finally came around, she actually ended up giving us more insight into what was going on across the chain than the agent who was selling our property (but who, funnily enough, was sure to be in touch when the time came to let us know what we owed for the sale of our flat!). I really felt like Conran had our interests, as well as their own clients' interests, at heart throughout the process. Having now moved into the house and met the neighbours I've also only heard good things about this branch. They really seem to know the area and - by the looks of the For Sale boards in the vicinity - seem very established here. Hopefully we won't be looking to move any time soon but if we are in need of an agent in the future we will definitely be looking to Abbie and Conran Estates (and avoiding KFH like the plague!). All good, and this is why:
All the while I was doing my flat up to sell, Michael at Charlton office was happy to pop in and advise.
I put it on the market, and straight away had two viewings and an offer.
I pulled out for personal reasons, but when they put it up again, they immediately found a buyer.
Throughout the process, if I needed to just talk through things I did not understand, I could pick up the phone and ask daft questions, and they always helpful.
One agent helped with a second visit from a buyer, and he was able to knowledgeably answer all sorts of questions that I could not (e.g. the buyer's finance, leasehold etc.
For the sake of contrast, I am now buying and find the bigger agents seem permenantly in a rush. In reflection, it seems to me that their Charlton office is a case of "Small is beautiful'.
To sum up, they looked out for my interest :-)
PS/ When a storm blew the For Sale sign down to half mast, they must have seen it because it was quickly made good again. I call that 'professional attention to detail'.

It was awful to have to deal with them. We were pressured to sign the contract and then purposely given wrong information. We have met the previous tenants and they had the same issues we had as well. The house was in a bad condition, in a few months it started smelling like mold and air was flowing through the windows all the time (this was annoying during the summer, but it got particularly painful to deal with during winter). We had passive aggressive emails sent to us and once we got forwarded (by mistake) the email of another client that was still dealing with their issues 2 years after they had moved out!
I am only giving it 2 stars because at least they got someone to deal with leaks from the ceiling and to fix the oven after it broke down.

What, at first, appeared to be a straight forward house purchase turned into 8 months of back and forth with the chain breaking down several times.
Without Roberts assistance and guidance throughout this process I don't think we would have been able to perservere. If our chain had 4 Roberts then we would have had the purchase wrapped up in no time!
Robert is trustworthy, patient, reliable, informative and somebody who we are very happy to have experienced working with. I am a first time buyer and Abbie Kendall is the person who helps me with the house purchase. Abbie is very friendly and was always very quick to respond to any quearies I had. I absolutely appreciate that Abbie was very specific towards the timelines I should expect within that purchase and set my expectations straight, which for me was extremely important. I am still finalising the purchase, however I feel pretty confident with Abbie, that she will contact me straight away if there will be any delay and will do her very best to sort out any obstacles that may come our way. I believe Abbie is a trainee and I do feel she is putting extra effort to do everything right and goes extra mile to do her job well, very often people with loads experience lacking that enthusiastic attitude and to deal with Abbie is like a breath of fresh air.

A few years ago when living in London, I looked for a flat with my gf at the time, from looking at a reasonable flat we spoke about money. I mentioned I could pay a few months in advance because I did need to move in quickly if that could help. From there they decided that I would have to pay a full year on the flat, going over £12,000. I responded that I didn't want to give them that amount and tried to talk on the few months for a deposit. They stuck with a full year and told me to go elsewhere if they weren't getting it.
I find it horrible that they would do this to a customer, and be so rude to not have a proper conversation about it and just got money hungry.
If I could remember the woman's name I would ask anyone not to speak with her, unfortunately I do not so suggest anyone to leave this Estate Agency well alone and go with anyone else.
I didn't take this rediculous deal, and quickly found somewhere else to live in the area by a trusted company.

From the 'potential transaction' after you said I would have to pay for a full year, there was none and I stated clearly there wouldn't be for the crazy amount you were asking. Generally speaking because I asked if it was possible to move within a month, I didn't mind paying a higher deposit. No one I have ever known would pay that much on a deposit, I would get a morgage instead.
During the chat I may mention that you talked from the company, not the landlord or reference process, as well as myself privately talking about the amount of money which was meant to be kept private (obviously was not). in the end it just seemed like you were getting money hungry with zero talk on the matter.
To others I have asked to avoid you, to future people that see this, don't mention anything about money, the moment they sniff it they will try to take it from you. A fool and their money.... These people shouldn't be trusted.

Rob Walker at Conran saw us through from first viewing to completion over a variety of humps and bumps and was by far the most communicative and helpful person throughout the process. Patient and friendly even when our purchase was delayed and kept in touch with us and was sympathetic with the spanners in the works, but we made it!

I've used Conran for all my tenancies since I started renting out my flat and they've always been lightening quick to respond and very thorough. Michael found me my last tenant, nearly 9 years ago - ideal tenants stay - and when I looked to Conran to find me another, after all these years Michael remembered the property and within a couple of days had carried out a thorough review of the property, its condition and the requirements to re-let, gave me an honest appraisal and did not try and sell additional services - just checked what I needed and took care of everything. AND found me a tenant before the end of the day. Just SUPER.

I bought my first property through Conran Estates Charlton and had an excellent experience. I cannot rate highly enough the personability, diligence and professionalism of everyone in the office: at no point was I left in the dark or my correspondance ignored, my requirements for a property were listened to and I was treated with utmost respect throughout. The team, especially Nicky (my agent), were extremely friendly, responded almost immediately to any correspondance and genuinely cared for my experience. Even my solicitor expressed how quick, kind and helpful Nicky was compared to other agents when they liaised with her, Rob too. I learnt from my previous experiences with lettings and estate agents not to expect much of a service, but Conran Charlton completely changed my view of estate agents and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone or use them again myself.

As a perspective tenant, it has been a nightmare trying to arrange viewings through them. I'm a Teacher working heavy hours and their attitude made me just waste time. Every time I'd see a flat on their website and ring them to book a viewing they'd say somebody ''will call me back''. The first time they got back to me the next day at 9am through email, arranging me a viewing at 11 am which obviously I could not make due to work and because they didn't bother to give a call. The second time I never received that ''call back''. The third time I contacted them asking if a specific flat with a SPECIFIC price (which I mentioned) was still available and the person on the phone said ''Yes''. I took time off work, traveled 90' only to be shown a different flat to the one I had requested which was also 300 pounds more expensive. The agent claimed the other flat was not available. The agent did not even excuse himself. He was a rude person, not welcoming, did not even smile for a moment and look down his nose on me when I arrived there (I've dealt with dozens of agents and he was by far the rudest). Never again.

Conran Estates went above and beyond in their service to me. I needed to refurbish before selling the property but needed to manage this and the sale from outside the region. Michael was more than happy to act as a keyholder and dealt with contractors to agree access etc.
Once the work was completed, Conran Estates arranged for the property to be professionally photographed and marketed extremely quickly - showing the property at its very best.
The property had viewings within one day of listing and the sale went through really quickly, thanks to the vetting carried out by their office. Nicola stayed on top of the conveyancers and provided regular updates.
I really couldn't have asked for anything more in terms of service and their fees were clearly laid out and were very reasonable indeed - lower than a number of competitors in the area. I would highly recommend Conran Estates to anyone looking to sell their property.

Throughout a roller coaster ride trying to sell our house during the Brexit period, Conran Estates and in particular, Nicola Moody and Michael John, has provided the very best information, the concrete support and patience when all around us was chaotic. Nicola had to cope with two chains breaking and she was instrumental in chasing solicitors, ensuring that our sale was smooth this time round. She always made time to cope with my questions, rants and frustration. I have now used Conran twice selling houses. I was really impressed on both occasions. They have an amazing team that have helped and supported us. We found their valuations realistic and therefore, we got the right people in the door. They always gave realistic and honest advice, even when it was not what I necessarily wanted to hear. Believe me, they know better than you! Thank you team.

Excellent service from valuation, organising viewings, negotiations, to progressing with the sale. The team were very experienced, professional and assisted with all the queries promptly, and went well beyond what I was expecting. This was especially given the challenges we had with a chain involved in the sale.
