Kirkintilloch like many of their branches once they have done a deal they dont care. Went into branch Kirsten quite happily chewing the fat and not even thinking Im a professional. I am collecting keys and the Valuer listening to a colleague planning her social life instead of looking after Buyer and Seller. No that would interfere with her social life. Phoned earlier on week and everything a trial and chore. No wonder Estate Agents get a bad rep. Seriously I wish I had the luxury of doing the bare minimum. World has gone nuts time and place and standards have stayed at lowest levels ... Covid and any other excuse is the fall back. We live in a era where it would good to not have to complain and expect professionalism . Yet at no time did she think you know what this guy is stressed and buying a new house apologise . We all make mistakes and its about accountability . I may have overreacted however I am the customer and Countrywide's liveliehood is about paying customers. I sold that property via Keys in October, Countrywide did not even feature in my shortlist. They did an amazing Job sellling property for fantastic price allowing me to downsize. Andrew came to our house to do a valuation and he was very friendly and knowledgable - he was also spot on with the home report value and what the house could achieve. After having my property on the market with a competitor some time back and it not selling or having one viewer in the first month, all the staff at Countrywide Kirkintilloch not only got us an amazing offer ( 5 offers) way over the asking price, but could have had it sold within the week too!! It took 2 weeks but this was because we wanted to keep it on he market for this time. They did a fantastic job of carrying out viewings ( over 30)!There could have been a lot more but we took Fiona’s correct advice and decided on a closing date. The nicest thing is the agents don't even have the curtecy to reply to an email when a house is about to sell, I'm fact they just wait till you call them to chase up about a house you're interested only for them to tell you it has already sold, to make matters worse, they're pushy in getting you to use their solicitors and mortgage advisors and some are downright arrogant when it comes to first time buyers, needless to say, estate agents are themselves an industry middle man that really shouldn't exist any more, need more only listing agents to take over, wish more sellers would just use purple bricks, so far the only estate agent /house advertiser that haven't been a downright nightmare to deal with. Much more to the point and generally plesent viewing agents with a system that gives everyone involved equal opportunity.... Read more

I considered online agents to sell but am now so glad I trusted this team. It did cost a little more on paper, but the time, worry and extra mile Maria and Andrew have gone to make what is a very stressful process feel worry-free has proven to be worth every penny. They keep in touch regularly, are so trustworthy to take viewings of what is a complicated big old house, when you've a sensitive family situation and also then when when the house was vacant. I never had to worry and could trust them to know every detail of the house and it's beautiful history. Maria and Andre worked very hard to secure our new purchase too (not forgetting Lesley), I can't praise and thank them enough. Moving house is the most stressful thing you can do and the team here are exactly what you pray you'll have to support you through it. Some things just aren't worth doing online.
