What a great experience of renting out my first home with John Francis.
I have dealt with Emma, Ashleigh and Sam and they have all been wonderful!
Quite a scary thing renting out a property and as it was my first time I was going into the unknown!
They have all taken their time to explain everything in detail to myself about what I needed to do to become a landlord and no question has been too big or too small for them to answer (or even to stupid!).
I have been made to feel fully informed through the whole process and communication has been excellent.
They have also managed to get my property up for rent and have tenants move in, all within 3-4 weeks.
They are all so friendly and I cannot thank them enough for everything.

We experienced an excellent standard of marketing and personal care and attention from staff at the branch throughout our journey. Having previously experienced a local competitor estate agent who had attempted to sell our home the year before unsuccessfully, we remarketed the property with John Francis and the property was sold within 10 weeks. I would particularly like to thank Mags the branch manager who oversaw proceedings very efficiently imparting her astute experience and Elwyn, a superb estate agent. Elwyn conducted all the viewings, and informed us what was happening with feedback etc every step of the way. He stayed late to conduct viewings to suit customers from out of area and came in on his time off to clinch the deal that sold the house. His personal attention and amazingly enthusiastic humorous personality imparted us with great confidence and made the whole experience so much less stressful.

We had a little trouble with traffic on the day of our move and weren't going to be able to get the keys in time. JF Gorseinon came through at the last minute trying to sort a very arduous move from far. Ashleigh Fenton was most helpful and proactive in ensuring customers requests from virtual viewings came through on time and clearly. She also described the property and its quirks quite clearly that it matched it well on arrival. Ashleigh also worked well with her team to ensure the reference process was swift and my preferences were mostly respected. Ashleigh's communication via email and calls were fast and straight to the point. She was also able to negotiate well on my behalf with the landlord. From the get-go, the team were professional, informative, and an absolute god send in a transaction we weren’t familiar with. We’d tried selling twice before with other agents, but John Francis are in a different league. We had a stream of viewers, and ended up with 3 offers at asking price. The team spoke to the solicitors when I couldn’t get any sense out of them, and explained everything with crystal clarity every time I asked...they also demonstrated a massive amount of patience with me and my million questions! Mortgage Consultant Paula was also an absolute star. I’m self employed, so getting a mortgage turned out to be far from the simple process I assumed it would be. However, she persisted after I’d resigned myself to having to look at a lesser property, and found me a mortgage with a fantastic rate....I’d have paid any rate at that point, so this was a welcomed surprise!

Our house we have now we bought through John Francis. We were lied to and told other parties were interested in the house but when I questioned the vendor we were the only ones interested. John Francis also told us we should have used them for the sale of our house as the estate agent we used was cheaper and they were bad mouthing them. Well I can tell you that our selling estate agent was a damn site more professional than yourselves and sold our house quicker than the house we bought that was on the market with yourselves. I wouldn’t recommend John Francis to anyone looking to buy or sell their house. Very unprofessional and incompetent at what they’re supposed to do!!

What kind of letting agent after being asked if the landlord excepts pets ,telling them what pets we had. Knowing how much we wanted the house. Gives us a viewing. Husband told them after seeing it we were still interested.

Thank you lovely Hayley for your professional service in finding me a superb tenant for my apartment in 2018. It was a pleasure using your company in Gorseinon and I have since recommended your services to my friends. The inventory service you organised was also very professional.
One small point is that I would however recommend that the energy company for electric and gas is chosen by the tenant and not by the letting agent and that this is made very clear. I look forward to working with you and your colleagues again.

My Partner and I have rented 3 properties through the Gorseinon office over the last 3 years. The property we are now in is a bungalow and it is about 5 minutes away from my place of work. Emma Holborn and all of her staff went out of the way to match our list of requirements to this bungalow which is proving to be a very comfortable home. I also know that should we have any issues the ladies at the Gorseinon office and the maintenance teams are only a phone call away. My partner and I would have no hesitation in recommending Emma and her staff for anyone looking to rent a property.

I have had an absolutely amazing service from John Francis in Gorseinon, the letting team there are professional, responsive, quick and always at the end of the phone to answer any enquiries I had. As a landlord it's also good to know that you have that quick support when you need it and that they are finding the best tenants for your property. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Excellent service by Gorseinon Lettings Manager Emma and her team, we were very impressed. The team marketed and rented out property within a few weeks of instructing them. All of the staff we had dealings with we’re both prompt and professional in dealing with our enquires which made the whole process straightforward. John Francis came recommended by a friend and I have been impressed from the moment the valuation was carried out to the tenants moving in. Emma who came round the property was very knowledgeable and approachable and my property was available the same day she took the photos. I spoke to the girls in the office who were very helpful and friendly and were keeping me up to date with viewings. We had 6 viewings booked in one day and tenants moved in within 2 weeks. I am in the process of purchasing another property and will certainly be coming back to John Francis and I have already recommended them to family and friends too.

As previous reviewers of this branch in Gorseinon I would like to rate them ZERO for their very unprofessional way they dealt with me and my family when we were interested in renting a property. We viewed the property and it was exactly what we were looking for but was kept waiting for a week to hear back from them, after numerous calls to them to get as answer. The excuse was that the landlady could not be contacted. They also have a very high administration fee, and doubt if there were to be any problems regarding maintenance to the property that they would have been dealt with appropriately. I am relieved that I do not have to deal with them in the future and would advise anybody to think twice when wanting to rent through them.

Very unprofessional. I’m only giving them one star because I cannot give them zero. We tried renting a property through this agency and we were left high and dry. If we didn’t phone them we wouldn’t have gotten any information regarding the property as they kept saying the landlord wasn’t available. Not only are they unprofessional their agency fees are also extremely high and would be a waste of money. Considering that they are a larger agency I expected better customer service, but was extremely disappointed. I would not recommend this agency to anyone.

1 star given as not able to give ZERO. Terrible service from the Gorseinon branch with final involvement from area manager where issues are STILL unresolved and ignored. We paid the full package to rent our property. Pretty much everything wasn't done right. Examples: Over 50 missing details/mistakes on our inventory document, on going mistakes in every inspections, drilling into the building structure where permission was never given and not put right, very difficult and long winded end process when tenants moved out, tenants very unhappy with JF service, JF maintenance team were poor and rude - job was finally put right but faulty again. DO NOT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY -
I still have issues unresolved plus the utitily company were given wrong information by JF about end billing.

I tried to rent a house via this agency, I found calls were not returned, they said things to the landlord I did not state, I am happy now as I have found a property from a different agency, I booked a viewing on a property also with them, they knew I worked away, cancelled my viewing without even seeing it, overall very unprofessional.
