I found D&G and in particular James Hastings to be enthusiastic about selling my flat, not only did they have lots of potential purchasers viewing but they took fantastic photos of my flat. I am in the process of relocating to the UK from Italy and I traveled to London just for a couple of days. Considering the very limited time I had, they assisted me not only with the issues that I had regarding my flat but also with other paperwork that I needed.
I had some problems and questions regarding my flat and Lily was available, up to the very last moment that I left, to solve every issue and she solved all of them during the time that I was there.
I had to open a bank account in the UK and the bank asked me for some extra paperwork regarding the proof of address. Even though this was a problem that was not related to Douglas & Gordon, as soon as I got in the East Putney office and asked for their help, Sophie printed out for me the extra proof of address and I was able to open my bank account.
I can't thank them enough for their wonderful support! They are very organized, always available and they were very patient with me even though I asked a lot from them.

Having recently completed the speediest move that I have ever gone through - I can’t recommend D&G East Putney enough. In particular Luke, who brings a refreshingly open and honest approach to lettings, making the whole process less stressful.
From our initial contact to the move in date, Luke was in regular contact providing us with updates as to where we were in the process and responding to all of our questions in a timely manner. He was particularly helpful when explaining what was required from our side to ensure each stage was completed as quickly as possible.

In connection with our relocation to London, my husband and I engaged the services of Douglas & Gordon, East Putney. We initially contacted them to look at property to buy in the Putney area. And a month later, when we decide to rent first, we contacted them again.
Our initial contact and viewing with Hattie Young in D & G sales department was really outstanding. We had just arrived from Paris and was running incredibly late for our viewing on a late Saturday afternoon. Hattie was however, very nice and patient. As the viewing with her was the first viewing for us in London, Hattie gave us lots of really good advice. We were very impressed. So when we decided to rent first and purchase later, it was natural for us to continue with D & G.
Sophie Allin became our letting adviser. Because of Hattie, we expected outstanding service from D & G and Sophie did not disappoint. She was really patient, friendly and listened to our needs. In doing so, she managed to arranged a good selection of properties for us to view.
We would certainly engage the service of D & G (Putney) again.

Can't recommend Hattie at D&G Putney enough - she was really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the areas I was looking at. I was living overseas at the time which made my flat search more difficult, but unlike all other estate agents I had signed up with, she didn't continually phone or send me to look at places that were completely out of budget or different to what I was looking for. We live abroad and found it reassuring how she and her colleagues kept us constantly updated with how the marketing and viewings were going. They responded promptly to our emails and sourced tenants that were exactly who we were looking for, whereas we found the other agents we used were seeking for us to make a compromise. I found the staff at Douglas and Gordon (particularly Verity and Joe) extremely professional and helpful. They helped me to sell a potentially difficult property (which was somewhat quirky, but with lots of potential), finding a well-matched buyer who was keen to take the property on. So I found the whole process was a lot less painful than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend.

Our experience with Douglas & Gordon in Putney has been brilliant. Yes - they are undeniably more expensive than other agents, which initially made us really hesitant about choosing them. However, in this unpredictable market, my property went under offer within a month of listing it, and my husbands' actually went the very day it came on the market! So, in our experience, we really believe that particularly if you're looking for a speedy sale (which we were!), Douglas & Gordon are a great match. (If timeframe isn't a priority though, then perhaps another agent with a cheaper commission would have been better suited...) Lastly, in terms of our relationship with them, we received regular feedback calls/emails to ensure we were always kept in the loop. Our particular agent was an absolute delight and charming to speak with. Thank you so much for all your help!

I recently dealt with the East Putney Douglas and Gordon Branch and was very happy with the result. My gf and I were in a very urgent situation due to another flat not having worked out (thank you Fraser & co for that btw) and we absolutely needed a place.
Oliver Wrigley at Douglas and Gordon helped us massively, first by finding a great flat and then by setting all the paperwork up (incl. references and so on) in record times. Long story short in less than 7 working days we were in the flat. It wasn't easy but we managed and a huge thanks goes to Oliver.
What could have worked better (these are details though):
- efficient responses not only via phone but also via email (though I understand that you are quite often on the move in this type of job)
- more clarity on furniture aspects of the flat (first we were told it was furnished, then it wasn't, then it ended up being partially furnished)
- replying to all emails with all parties in cc
All in all, I had a really good experience with Douglas and Gordon and Oliver Wrigley and would highly recommend them.

We were looking to rent a flat and found Douglas & Gordon online. We put in an offer but never heard anything back! Not even an email to acknowledge or let us know what happened...
We arranged two viewings for 2 flats in the same building with Eleanor D. (Ellie) and I expressed interest; She said that she'll give me a call once she speaks to the property manager. The next day I emailed her with an offer and all the details we discussed and later on chased with a phone call to make sure she received it. She had received it and said will email me back shortly... It's been two weeks and still no contact/ reply from her what so ever and not returning my call! I find it highly unprofessional and rude really! Will never use them again and would definitely not recommend to anyone.

Lydia Straughan at D&G was an absolute delight to work with. Not too pushy when we were looking to rent and fast moving when we decided to go with the flat we had viewed. The processes in place were well thought out, and easy to follow. The fees in comparison to other agents are pretty good and everyone in the office very helpful. We now have Leah Oaker as our property manager, and having only moved in 3 days ago, she has been extremely helpful, friendly and quick to respond to issues that we have had. Highly recommend D&G.
