We visited Foxtons Putney twice, and Alexander proved to be an extremely helpful and informative sales agent. He went out of his way to show us several different types of properties, giving us a clear understanding of the range of possibilities available within our budget. Although sometimes, we were shown properties that didn't match our search criteria, it was useful to see these places as it helped us to start thinking outside of the box. Alex remained mindful of our needs throughout, and consistently pointed out aspects of a property that may not have occurred to us. While we didn't find what we were looking for in Putney, I'm grateful to Alex for his dedication, knowledge and professionalism.

As 1st time buyers we felt overwhelmed with everything but the support on each step helped us overcome our reservations and everything became clear very fast. From mortgages to legal advice we were covered.
If you’re looking for a Putney property do your selves a favour and just speak to him directly. The “going the extra mile” approach is much appreciated.

I have never had such a bad first experience with a letting agents. The property on Merton Road in Wandsworth was filthy when I moved in. They tried to blame the past tenants but either way Foxtons should have taken responsibility and assessed if the property was clean enough before we moved in. Or checked on the cleanliness and condition of the property then taking or using the deposit from the last tenants to have a professional cleaner or some sort of decent level of cleaning for even 1 day at least. I know for a fact Foxtons didn’t even visit or check the property before we moved in. To add to all this, our agent Luke, took multiple days to weeks to reply to important matters. Never picked up the phone either. They tried to swindle us paying earlier in the month than what was agreed against multiple other poor process handling matters and professionalism. Do not use Foxtons, particularly the Putney office.

It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with Foxtons in Putney.
From completely ignoring severe maintenance issues to neglecting the property and basic job responsibilities, I was lost for words when my request to change the tenant was completely ignored for over 10 weeks. Despite other property managers dealing with this request within two weeks, our property manager Emily didn’t acknowledge any emails and calls and it took 10 weeks with dozens of follow up calls and emails to get a rude response on the phone.
I have yet to come across someone who is so careless and neglectful towards tenants who have had an absolutely perfect payment history and made sure to look after the property perfectly. The only time they were quick to contact us was when the landlord wanted more money for a property that was not looked after in the absolute slightest. The greed of the wealthy will always be a mystery to me. I will make sure to never cross paths with Foxtons again and will go out of my way to advise friends and family to find other agencies.

This is the worse deal I’ve ever experienced in my life. 0 stars.
Foxton is by far the worst management agent. And they should be ashamed of even calling themself management agents.
After having signed the contract, they disappeared. They didn’t answer calls or emails neither mine or of the tenants.
And after we decided and agreed to cancel the contract, they delayed sending the invoice for weeks without any explanation, without answering calls nor emails.
A nightmare dealing with them.

The price at which these agents will list a property is absolutely shocking. It will be half the size of a comparable and half the quality, but they’ll keep a straight face and tell you the price should be the same. It’s so bad that we don’t even bother with Foxtons any more as it’s simply a waste of time.

My relator was very helpful up until move in day and I have since heard nothing from him. When your oven in your flat breaks, please be prepaid to wait more than a month for a fix (I am still waiting).

Very good customer services especially from Andreea Isaroiu. We had 3 weeks until we needed to move flats and although foxtons usually get their listings at least 2 months in advance Andreea found and took me on a drive around of 3 different flats that the fitted the criteria I gave her over the phone. She was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Would definitely contact her/foxtons again if I needed in the future. A very useful service to provide and not something that was offered by the other 4 letting agencies I had signed up to in London. Thankyou :)

We rented a property through Foxtons and since then have had many wear and tear issues and they have not replied in a timely manner. One of them being when the neighbour made renovations in their bathroom and a small leak occurred which caused mold in one of the bedrooms, we reported this to the neighbour and the agency and the agency said they would try help facilitate something. Since then (about 4 weeks ago) they have not responded to any of my emails, requests for the property agent to contact me and maintenance requests on the foxtons portal.
If I had a property I would not trust Foxtons with the maintenance of my house, and I will not rent a house that is being let by Foxtons ever again.

I’m a landlord and Foxtons lettings team was great but we are also paying them for property management service and it is the most shocking non-existent service ever. Eleanor is non responsive. I’ve been fobbed off so many times and then told to log issues on my app (which doesn’t work), as foxtons are too busy to answer calls and emails. Avoid at all costs. Can’t get my money back either so paying 2years for a service which… doesn’t exist. Is there a word for this?

I would not recommend this estate agent, or to be more specific this particular branch. It took them 4 months to contact the seller of the property after I had moved in about an issue that arose between the seller vacating the property and myself moving in. They kept coming up with excuses as to why the seller was unable to respond. In this day and age it is difficult to believe that someone is not reachable for 4 months especially when we've all got phones in our pockets. If we were relying on snail mail then it might take up to a month if post was to have got lost, which is three months quicker.
Funnily enough, within a week of contacting the CEO to advise of the service of the Putney branch (or lack thereof) I finally got a response. It seems like if there's nothing in it for the estate agent then they're more than happy to ignore you until you write to their CEO.
The other issue I had (before I owned the property - while I was in the process of buying it) was that the agent provided the wrong key to builders who were going to attend to provide a quote for some building work, The builders charged me for having to attend despite not being able to provide a quote. The estate agent was unapologetic and refused any reimbursement of my costs despite it being their responsibility for mishandling the keys.
I would avoid this estate agent whether you are a buyer or seller as their communications leave a lot to be desired and it will only end up delaying already frustrating processes even more. Try a different agent instead!
Plus, I wouldn't trust all of the positive reviews on their website. Some of them are likely to be fake

I would have given it one star if it's not for Konrad who's been brilliant in dealing with our initial rental moving in. However, the exit process has been chaotic, electricians, cleaners organised without our knowledge. The agent hasn't been responsive on exit report and deposit release. No visibility of exit report one week after we have finished tenancy, so considerable deposit held when at a time we are tight on cashflow due to recent purchase of a property. I would not recommend it.

Back in May this year I entered a short let managed by Foxtons' Putney branch. When being shown the property by Hannah Morris:
1. The landlords' personal belongings (e.g. underwear among other things) was still in the property. The agent promised that it would be removed -- none of it was. Furthermore, storage space which was advertised continued to hold the landlords' belongings throughout the tenancy despite my complaints and their promise to remove them. They did make an attempt to clear out some space, during which they seem to have misplaced a bathroom mat which I was then attempted to be held responsible for through my deposit.
2. During the viewing the agent broke the dishwasher's door. They later stated the damage was only aesthetic, and they fixed it days into the tenancy. However, the door had been damaged to the point that the machine wouldn't run unless constant pressure was kept on the door. This was never fixed or even acknowledged by Foxtons, despite video evidence.
3. When I viewed the place I was told I could rent it on a week-by-week basis. This was also in line with Foxtons' website advertising short lets as a solution "Whether you're staying in London for a few weeks or a few months [...]". Further into negotiations Hannah Morrison took this back. Either she lied about being able to rent on a weekly basis, or Foxtons is on its website.
4. When being shown the place, I was told internet connectivity fit for working would be installed. This was only done in the last week of tenancy. In the meantime we had mobile internet where every video meeting lagged 10 seconds behind -- unusable.
When I complained to Hannah Morris' manager, Matthew Williamson, he denied the dishwasher didn't work (despite the evidence), said that the mobile internet provided was workable because he called his parents over the phone regularly (yes, really).
I simply do not appreciate being given something worse than what I was advertised and paid for. I made a complaint only to encounter Matthew Williamson's defensiveness and disrespect. Instead of having managed the complaint gracefully, and acting on what was pointed out to him, he lashed back at me, and worsened the problem.
When I attempted to raise this to Mathew Williamson's manager, David Murphy, I failed to get any response back.
May I then ask why would anyone trust Foxtons if they lack any integrity? And what is the point of raising complaints at Foxtons if one will only encounter defensiveness, disrespect, a complete disregard of supporting evidence, and just being ignored?

It's no surprise to me anymore, when I speak to people and say I had a bad experience with Foxtons - and their reaction is, "Oh my God so did I - avoid them like the plague".
Foxtons made absolutely 0 effort to communicate to me after having put in several offers on properties they were listing. They did not even have the decency to let me know when a landlord had accepted another offer. Why would they, they made their money, who cares about tenants?
In fact, after ensuring I had a break clause in an offer document, they *neglected to even pass the offer to the landlord*. I have it on good authority that lettings negotiators have financial incentive to get offers without break clauses accepted.
Honestly, Foxtons self-serve. They'll seem lovely all up until the point another offer has been accepted on a property, and then you'll be ghosted harder than that girl on tinder ghosted you.

I sent to Foxtons on January 19th to apply for the change of the occupancy, but it has not been completed until July 7th. During this period, I sent emails and made phone calls for more than 50 times, but Courtney Allen, the property manager, always found various reasons to delay. She told the new tenant last week that the contract would be sent to us last Wednesday, but she didn't. I called her last Friday and she said she would give me the new contract this Monday, but she didn't. I called her this Wednesday and she said she would send me the new contract that afternoon, but she didn't. She has cheated me many times, and always used various excuses to delay, wasting my time and money.

Gareth and Claudia at Foxtons Putney were great getting my flat sold. Foxtons often get a bad rep but I personally think it is completely unjustified. They are very professional and offer a great service. I had a nightmare with the cladding stuff and a sale fell through. I ended up needing to re-rent my apartment, before finally managed to get a sale over the line. Gareth and Claudia were proactive with bookings, sharing feedback, collaborating with solicitors and the buye, keeping me up to date and always very responsive when I needed a hand. It has now been two years and it is such a shame I have to update this review, Konrad did an amazing job when we first needed a place but the property management department is an absolute disaster. We have been basically forced to move out early because since November we have been living with black mould and the property manager has done absolutely nothing to fix it, excuses on top of excuses, sending contractors every once in a while to make us stop complaining but none of them has ever come back to do any work. I have been trying to get in contact with my property manager to discuss the move out but she doesn’t answer calls or emails and is always not in office or too busy, this has been going on for a long time.
Konrad recently has helped me and my partner find a new home. From the start he was super professional and understood immediately what we were looking for. We went through the whole process and decided to go for the house and he made the whole process extremely easy and stress free for us.
If you are looking for a house definitely go to foxtons and speak to him. We are very grateful for everything he is done for us!

Hannah and Amy are nice people, but customer service is not something that they have. If you go over the asking price and they still call the others to increase their bid, it is not a very professional way to operate.
We can only come to the conclusion that they are time wasters!

After my brief encounter with Madeline Cundy (Maddie) I think it is not surprising as to why estate agents so frequently have a bad name. Not only did she cancel the viewing I had made 4 days prior, 10 minutes after I had arrived in the branch; she proceeded to mispronounce my name twice - despite being corrected. The blank expression on her face and monotonous tone of her voice during her very unenthusiastic apology made this even worse. She explained that she had tried to call me the day before to cancel, but had called the wrong number; good practice would have been of course to follow this up with an email and or text, which I received none of. When I had originally spoken to her on the phone after she received my rightmove enquiry, she ignored my questions which were listed and then seemed baffled and annoyed when I asked her to answer them again. She also mentioned she would like to take me on a tour of various properties Foxtons had to offer in the area, the details of which she was going to send me through that afternoon, which I never received. All in all, I think anyone reading this can agree that this is appalling customer service and I would hope that buyers and vendors alike would think twice about using Foxtons or Maddie.

I just closed a deal with Hannah from Foxtons, she has been amazing in supporting our search. she really understood what me and my family were looking for, found a property and brought us there just in time for going into the market. we closed the deal in half a day and we are now looking forward to moving in!

Matthew, Lettings Manager at Putney branch was very patient with us, he is extremely professional and immediately understood our needs and have set up a quick plan. His team delivered as we secured tenants at our terms the first weekend of viewings. Must highly recommend to landlords.

Myself and my partner decided to rent a short term let from Foxtons with the Putney branch. We were never told when moving in there were major issues with the boiler. For 5 weeks we had limited heating and hot water, myself and my partner organised an engineer to have a look at it and the boiler was completely unsafe to use. Now in our 6th week at the property we have no heating or hot water at all. When we brought this to the attention of Foxtons they feel we were OK as we had intermittent hot water and heating!!!??? Let alone the fact we had an at risk and unsafe boiler for nearly 6 weeks!! They have treated us so carelessly it's very disheartening and stressful having to nag such a big branch like this for 6 weeks. The reputation is true, they just want your money upfront and are happy to leave you struggle and drag it out for as long as possible should you have any issues. My partner and I are currently buying a property in London and will NEVER use Foxtons out of principle for the disgusting way we've been treated. They are a complete sham! I would really discourage people from using them if at all possible as our nightmare experience still unfortunately continues and will for another 3 weeks until we move out.

We let our property in Putney through Foxtons and they handled each of the minor issues that we had very badly. We paid for the property to be managed but it would have been easier to manage it ourselves. They are good salespeople but the service stops there. Avoid.

That was the worst experience I have been through after living in London for 10 years. This company is so disrespectful and dishonest. After handing the 6 weeks deposit, signing the agreement and giving the documents they had another offer higher then mine and decided to undo the deal with me after I had declined another flat that I liked to stay with them. No integrity, no trust, not professional, I could just not believe that was happening with such well known company. The receipt of my deposit says non refundable in case I change my mind but they can cancel my application and return my money. It's not a fair deal when only they have the advantage, waste of time, look for a estate agency that is reliable. Completely shame.

Avoid!!
Unbelievable they have good ratings!! Probably the ratings relate to sales not after sale/rent.
They were very friendly and active when we searching for the property to rent and everything went well and smooth so though they are a good agency.
Was able to find out about true Foxtons when we had water leak from upstairs flat and it became uninhabitable. When I told Foxtons about this, I had great response “We only deal with tenancy”. They didn’t want to take any responsibility to find us alternate place or do anything about this. I had to chase them every time and seems they didn’t bother about situation. Can’t wait till my tenancy end! Avoid!!

First off, have you noticed that the majority of posting of this organisations comments happened all at the same time 5 months ago. I'd be suspect to these being real customers. Foxton's they are really nice when you start with them... But once that's out the way there is a world of hard work to get them to do the basic things. They will register you with Sparke energy without asking... Sparks are a Micky take of an energy company, of course they have a back door dealing with an organisation like Foxtons. The leaving costs are extortionate and boy will they make that difficult. I moved out over 7 weeks ago now, still no deposit. Don't use them... Unless you want to part with your hard earned cash for very little return.

My family's challenging relocation to London from the Southwest was made much easier by the professionalism, helpfulness, and knowledge of our Foxtons Letting Agent, George Clark. He attended to our concerns promptly and his pleasant but decisive manner gave me the confidence to have complete faith in his judgement. Needless to say we are all now very pleased with our new home.

I recently selected Foxtons to sell my flat after inviting them and two other local estate agents to give me a valuation. Katherine from Foxtons Putney stood out as being the most knowledgeable and by far the best prepared with relevant research and a good understanding of the local property market and how the specific details of my flat would contribute to a realistic valuation.
After this initial positive impression Foxtons continued to impress, with several estate agents taking the time to come and visit the flat before they had bookings, to ensure they were familiar with it, and some excellent photography being done that really showed it in its best light. Viewings were always easy to manage, with the various agents generally just dropping me a text before they came round, so I didn't feel constantly hassled. Once I finally got an offer, Katherine and Roberta patiently worked through quite a tricky process of getting to exchange and completion, and provided excellent communication and updates the whole way.

I used Foxtons and more specifically Mohammed Raja, in search for a new one bed. Not only am I very pleased with my new place but Mohammed was ever so supportive, tremendously positive and trustworthy all the way through the process, even at times when I was hard to reach in terms of communication and on the verge of looking elsewhere.
Would truly recommend using Foxtons and specifically Mohammed, he really went out of his way to show me various different options (outside his area too)! And made sure that I secured the property when I decided to put in an offer. Excellent.!

From start to finish my experience of buying a new build apartment with Foxtons was excellent. I was convinced that I would buy in Fulham until Roberta Travers from Putney Office asked me to take a look at what Putney had on offer. Roberta took me to see a variety of new and used properties in different areas of Putney. Allowing me to get a feel for the place. She listened carefully to my requirements and I was impressed with how well she interpreted our family needs. After showing me a selection of properties in my price range, Roberta suggested I look at a new build close to the high street. I selected a great apartment with Roberta's help and I couldn't be more pleased. It's a fantastic apartment. Roberta is professional but friendly, knowledgeable about her area and a delight to work with. I will certainly be using Foxtons in future.

My wife and I were very impressed by Kat when we first met her as we walked in off the street asking for a valuation on our property last summer. She agreed to be at the property within two hours, and was. After serving notice on our previous agents, Kat came on board with professional gusto, keeping us constantly up to date with the market movements. As interest in a sale proceeded, Kat stepped up a gear and we felt totally confident in her and her team. During the closing stages of the sale, she maintained updates at times when others may not have bothered to ensure that matters proceeded at pace. When the property was on your books we were travelling a lot but Kat always got through to us either early mornings or late in the evenings which we appreciated. Her telephone manner and her emails were always of the highest standard and nothing was too much trouble for her. We had a really nice Christmas due to Kat and hope she did too!!
