We have recently purchased our house through Hockeys Linton and we can't fault them from day 1. After one phone call Alfie was able to book us into a viewing the next day. Although we weren't proceedable initially, when the house came back on the market a couple months later, Alfie kindly contacted us to see if we were still interested. The stars aligned and we were ready to go. Throughout the whole process Alfie (and John) were great at communicating and responded promptly to all contact. Alfie kept us updated and chased the upper chain to help it along the way. We couldn't recommend Alfie and Hockeys enough when purchasing a home!

From the very start of my search in South Cambridgeshire, Hockeys stood out as the best estate agent in the area. They offer a genuinely personal and tailored service; they took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, even helping me clarify my own requirements when I wasn't entirely sure myself.
While larger agencies often lacked the capacity for viewings, Hockeys was always available and proactive, keeping me updated on new market entries with fast, professional communication.
Having viewed numerous properties during my search, I can say with confidence that Hockeys’ valuations were far more thoughtful and accurate than those of other agents. Unlike many who seemed to lack depth in this area, Hockeys demonstrated a genuine understanding of the market, ensuring their pricing was both realistic and well-considered.
Once I found my home, they were tireless in pushing the sale forward. Alfie took the lead with support from John, and their teamwork was great. Even when external parties caused delays, they worked hard to keep the process on track.
Although an important piece of local information was missed, their response to the situation was immediate and professional. Beyond the sale, John’s recommendation for a mortgage advisor was excellent.
It’s clear that the whole team is deeply connected to Linton and the surrounding villages. They are always welcoming if you want to pop in for a chat and having the wonderful 'Linton Kitchen' right across the road is a lovely bonus!

I can’t speak highly enough of the service I received from Alfie at Hockeys in Linton. From start to finish, his communication was absolutely fantastic — always friendly, professional, and incredibly patient. I’ll admit, I put some pretty big demands on his time (largely due to the completely inadequate service from the conveyancing company, who were the polar opposite of helpful!), but Alphie never once let that show.
He went above and beyond to keep everything on track, kept me informed at every step, and handled every challenge with professionalism and good humour. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about their clients in the way Alfie does.
I’d recommend Alphie and the entire Hockeys Linton team to anyone who’s prepared to listen — they’re an absolute credit to the company and a shining example of how estate agency should be done.
