My experience with Rise has been nothing short of dreadful.
From the very beginning of our tenancy, dealing with Rise was a constant struggle. They were difficult to reach, rarely picked up the phone, and often seemed completely uninformed about the status of issues we raised. It became increasingly unclear what anyone at Rise actually did, as they consistently failed to communicate or provide any support.
Maureen, who was supposedly responsible for property issues, often seemed completely out of the loop. During our tenancy, it was common to be redirected to different people, none of whom had any real information about our concerns or seemed able to offer solutions. This disorganization was particularly evident when we tried to resolve discrepancies with our deposit. Other team members continually told us to contact Paddy, yet none of them could provide any assistance themselves. Paddy, in turn, was often condescending and dismissive, making the entire process feel unnecessarily antagonistic. I found myself sending more than double the emails we received in return, just to get basic responses on matters that should have been straightforward.
Overall, I would strongly recommend that students look elsewhere for housing options. In the year prior we had a great experience with Loc8me. Although they may charge slightly more for some properties, the responsiveness, professionalism, and care their staff provide is worlds apart from what we experienced with Rise.
