I have recently sold a very “niche”, slightly problematic property and was lucky enough to work with Jay at the Alderley Edge branch. Jay has been supportive throughout, always proactive and guided us professionally, wisely and sensitively throughout the stressful process that is moving house. Even in the trickiest of situations, Jay ensured that he communicated clearly and effectively with those involved to bring about resolutions amenable for all. Jay was always available via phone or email and responded quickly to any questions or matters arising. Nothing was too much trouble.

Instructed to look after the sale of a property on behalf of a Charitable Trust. Totally professional approach, very easy and friendly to deal with. The whole process was managed in a very efficient way and the communications were first class. The trustees knew on a very regular basis what, where, how, things were progressing with the sale. We sold via a 'Sealed Bid' option, which was one of several that were discussed in the initial meetings. All the viewings, enquiries, bid close, etc etc. were really well controlled. For the potentially stressful experience of a property sale, we were relaxed by how well the process progressed to the completion. Unfortunately after careful consideration I have decided to speak out. A week ago following a phone call where I enquired about a property and was duly qualified by a lovely lady called Daisy, then booked a viewing for yesterday. This particular property is in need of restoration so Daisy and I had a lengthy conversation about it. I then called a few days later to ask if I could bring along my builder and surveyor which was agreed with no issues. I then moved my meetings and booked myself half a day off work and my builder had to re arrange meetings to be there too . At almost 5pm on the eve of the viewing (yesterday)I missed a call from the estate agents and no voicemail was left. I called and was then put through to Jay. He quickly informed me he had completed a sale “just now” on the property. At no point in the lead up to the viewing was this made clear that it was under offer. I have waisted everyone’s time and it just doesn’t feel quite right. I have unsubscribed from their mailouts and won’t be returning to Jackson-Stops, as I just won’t work under that type of partnership.
I have just re reviewed this feedback as I was really surprised and pleased to receive a call from Jay the following day based around this review. We had a good open conversation and agreed it would have be helpful to have known there were offers on this property, we both had a better understanding of my frustrations and agreed to keep in touch should anything change. A breath of fresh air! The day I met James he was professional but friendly and his advice was perfect. He spoke honestly about our home and the various sales / marketing options. Everything was organised for us and extremely easy. All the staff at the Alderley Edge branch were super polite, helpful and very courteous; our sale was quick and went through very smoothly. Shari was always attentive and Jay really worked tirelessly to accommodate us and achieve completion of the sale. In fact the whole team were just fabulous! Our family have used Jackson Stops to purchase two houses recently - one for us and our son also bought through them, and have been totally impressed with their service. We have had dealings with a number of people in the agency but in particular must give a shout out to Jay who is just brilliant. He is so engaging and listens to the client needs/wishes list for a property and works really hard to find the perfect home. He is enthusiastic, charming and makes viewing stress free. If you are looking for a house call them and ask for Jay. Also wonderful are Shari who works hard at pushing sales and purchases through by professionally liaising with solicitors and clients to make sure all the right boxes are ticked. And of course, lovely Crispin, who worked really hard getting the deal over the line and some final paperwork through for one of our house purchases. He knows his vendors well and is a trusted and locally well respected agent. Can’t recommend Jackson Stops enough.

Booked a viewing of a property in Knutsford via the Alderley Edge branch.
We arrived at our viewing only to find out our viewing had not been booked in the system and we couldn't view the property!
The branch manager called me to apologise and she was dumbfounded at what had happened. Clearly the staff member had agreed our viewing but had forgot to book us in, was made to think I was the problem.
Waste of a morning travelling to and from Manchester and taking time of work for my wife and I.
Terrible service, avoid if possible.
