Shout out to Jacksons Streatham who sold our father’s family house, achieving a good deal in sad circumstances and difficult market conditions. Kudos to sales director James King, who initially valued the place for probate and then responded super-rapidly when we put it out to tender with five local agents several months later: he called (at 6:20pm) within half-an-hour of our email and had a full recall of all the features of the property – we were impressed. (The other four agencies approached took between a day and five days to respond.) James came through with a very clear and confident sales strategy and, despite a promising initial offer falling through, he and sales team manager George Evans rapidly retrieved the situation: George and sales support manager Davina Alexis-Noel closed a sealed bid deal process with considerable efficiency and charm.

James King - incompetent at best.

Beware of all the glowing Jacksons reviews...

I have had two dealings with James King at Jacksons and both left me wondering how he manages to get away with it. Firstly when I was buying a property that the vendor had on with Jacksons, James convinced the vendor to put it back on the market when we were well into the process and waiting for the searches to come back. That move nearly cost the vendor a sale they badly needed.

Secondly on another property, James sent this 'URGENT' letter to me, saying that he was working in the area. If that's urgent James, I do worry.

When I went into the office to speak to him, his staff didn't have many good things to say about him.

I wouldn't trust the guy as far as I could throw him. If you're selling or buying, I would avoid Jacksons if I were you. You might lose a sale due to his arrogance.

I was looking to rent a flat in Streatham and Sofia helped me. She was wonderful! When my initial viewing turned out to not be what I was looking for, Sofia took me to a different flat that hadn't yet been listed online which was much more to my liking!

I ended up going with a different flat elsewhere, but Sofia was so knowledgeable and friendly and fabulous to chat with! I really felt that she was prioritizing my needs and what I was looking for in my new home. My only disappointment is that Sofia isn't my estate agent at the flat I'm moving to -- I'm definitely going back to Jacksons and Sofia if it doesn't work out! Terrific service and wonderful people! Sofia is the tops!

I deal with a lot of Estate Agents and naturally have the same negative preconception as everyone else. However, Jacksons are the exception to the rule. They were attentive, professional and completely understood our requirements when sourcing the house of our dreams (unlike Foxtons for example, who will just show you anything in the 'hope' you will find something you like). We viewed several properties with Jacksons, and all were relevant, including our now-home in Abbeville Village. I could not recommend Jacksons enough, or Abbeville itself. Thanks to James & Phil for making my wife very very happy.
