Will Hughes and the team at John Payne have been fantastic! We had quite a bumpy ride after selling our house relatively quickly. Will was a great support throughout and was always on hand if we needed advice.

They are not giving proper information to tenants and taking people money for no reason the referencing agency which they are working with is not proffessional and they have no clue of whats happening right now with the covid 19 every aspect of life has changed due to this pandemic however the paper work and documents should stay the same its black and white and not adjusted to the current situation. I am really dissappointed with the service they have provided and will never ever use them again. Please, people watch out with this agency

Avoid renting from John Payne at all costs. We were shown this property by John Payne in Lee. However, they don't do the management of the rental properties. It means that you don't meet the staff that are responsible for managing your property until after you have paid your holding fee. By that time it can be too late.

We had arranged for the house to be in a certain condition and they lied to us before moving in saying that it would be. We then found the property to be not as agreed and since we saw the property even more maintenance was needed.

This has caused us lots of emotional distress and their poor customer service continued as we went through the complaints process. We took them to the TPO and got a distress and inconvenience award and we have attached the findings below just to show how poor they are.

It seems from the reviews that we aren't the only people they have done this to. The property we were getting was £2100.00pm. For this you would expect a high level of customer service, yet we got the worst we've ever had. Please don't make the same mistake as us and go through these people to rent!

Lovely team at the Lee branch and had a viewing at my flat within an afternoon of it going online. Sold the property the following day and great communication throughout. Special mentions to Will, Clare and Chris who kept things ticking over smoothly. Recommended.

As first time buyers, we could not recommend John Payne enough. From start to finish they were informative and professional offering us regular updates and advise. We mostly dealt with Claire, she is incredibly personable and enthusiastic. She shared a wealth of knowledge with us which ultimately resulted in the smooth purchase of our first home. We worked with Claire and the team to sell our flat nearby. They really did do an excellent job for us. They made the sale easy and helped us almost on a daily basis to exchange and complete over 3 months, this was our first sale so they certintly set a bench mark for future estate agents! They gave us confidence throughout and we really felt we could trust them. We had a difficult sale with a first-time buyer unfamiliar with the processes. Matt Wright and his team, esp Abbie, were on it the whole 4 months from Offer to simultaneous Exchange & Completion. Before that they brought in a steady stream of viewings.
