I cannot recommend Ross Reed at Acorn Lewisham enough. We had used other agents to try to sell our property previously and found the experience extremely frustrating. We constantly felt like we were chasing the other agents for updates and were left in the dark on when and if viewings would take place.
Things was completely different with Ross. He was so on the ball and had more people through the door in the first week than the other agents had in previous 3 months. He kept us up to date throughout and his communication once we found a buyer was excellent.
We would use Acorn and Ross again in a heart beat.
Rented a property through this firm for six months and never have I been met with such breath-taking ineptitude and incompetence before.
The lists of problems with this let are quite extensive but highlights include being told that I could rent the property for six months and then having to request changes to the length of the contract right up to the day of signing the contract, as the landlord hadn't specified that a six-month let was possible.
Then no instructions given on how to operate the properties heating and hot water systems leading to a higher gas and electricity bill for the first month as the only option I could find was an Immersion heater that had to be left on the whole time to provide hot water. There was no out of hours contact and in the end this query took 13 days to be answered.
This was later followed by an element failing in the cooker which was not replaced as it was decided by the landlord that the cooker should be replaced which took well over 6 weeks to complete due to poor communication from Acorn.
Then a long wait time followed this to regain the deposit despite requesting on several occasions if there was anything that could be done sooner, as I had vacated the property early. Even though the agency had been told on several occasions that I had vacated the property early I still got several phone calls asking if it was ok to do a viewing at such and such a time. Another clear indication of the lack of communication and cohesion at the branch/organisation. The final icing on the cake was when I was called by one of the branch negotiators to ask if I could help them with the heating and hot water at the property as a new tenant had moved into the property and was struggling. Once again, the agency had difficulties getting hold of the landlord (a theme that was a constant throughout my rental.) Suffice to say I still hadn't had my deposit returned to me at this point and was feeling less than helpful. Especially after receiving an email from the agency asking why I hadn’t paid my rent despite my contract being finished.
Be warned renting through Acorn is a massive mistake fraught with nothing but frustration. I have not used the buying side of the branch but see no reason why they should be any better.
Lee Austin at KFH was superb from start to finish during the process of me and my girlfriend buying our first home together. He continuously went above and beyond in order to make sure that the process was as easy and simple as possible for the both of us. The advice he gave us throughout was brilliant as well. Would highly recommend and use Lee again for future mortgage issues/queries.
These jokers have got a sign in the window saying 'supply is low, demand is high' so it's pretty clear whose side they're on! Rachman!
I had the pleasure of dealing with Luke , who went above and beyond the call of duty showing me potential houses in the area to rent . He was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful and I have no hesitation recommending him .
My father called this place looking for book a house viewing and was victim to racial profiling. When a customer come to look at a house, questions such as 'can you afford this house' come across as rude and disrespectful. Questions such as, is the houses you're looking for within this price range or where are you currently living could be used to tailor the house hunting experience I understand, but can you afford this house?! Ridiculous. My father is a GP and pays his taxes, so to be ask such a question I think is highly unprofessional. If it weren't for the busy schedule around during this time of the year I'm sure he would have been more inclined to make a complaint. I however am disappointed, especially living in Chislehurst for over 15 years now. Susan should be more respectful in the future.
First time i have had great service from estate agents she was very helpful explained very clearly quick answer sort it every single problem excellent i could give more star if can thank you ever so much sarala gurung for helping me greatly
The worst experience. Over priced my property with absolutely no intention to push. Never giving feedback nor answering calls. I had viewings cancel where by I stayed in with my 2 children so the viewing could go ahead to never be told it was cancelled.
Over rated, pig ignorant and more interested in themselves than actually helping out.
The fees are ridiculous and the level of service is appalling. I wouldn’t waste your money going to foxtons I would do your research and find an estate agent who isn’t money grabbing or time wasters go with an agent who I honest and who is eager to sell your property.
Most estate agents fees differ but never to the extent of Foxtons.
We didn’t have an easy sale, but the team at Stanford got us through with kindness, humour and efficiency. The team are so good and feel like old friends. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
I don't like leaving poor reviews of companies, look at my history of reviews and you'll see that's the case. However, the letting agency industry really makes me cross. I did everything in my power to ensure that the property I vacated via this agency was delivered back at the standard I arrived at, and was careful to communicate my early exit of the tenancy agreement with Stanford Estates employees. The fact I had £1000 deducted from my deposit is not an issue - I agreed to the remarketing fee - what makes me really annoyed is the fact I had to wait over 2 weeks for a decision on how much money would be returned to me. It's my damn money, I was a great tenant, how dare you hold onto my funds for so long for no good reason. And how dare you charge £900 as a reletting fee in the first place! That's an outrageous fee that I should never have accepted in the first place. I urgently needed to leave London and accepted these terms but I accepted with great annoyance. I have no doubt Zoopla and RightMove costs a bit, but here's an idea. Cover the cost in your initial fees to tenants and landlords. Don't wack it on on the end and punish tenants when things don't work out over no control of their own. Just a suggestion! 2 stars as Malcolm Goes seems like a nice bloke.
Danielle was so helpful from the outset. She took us around approximately 5 different types of housing so we could make a decision on which style was our preference, which was a super useful exercise for us, especially as we were first time buyers. Then once we found the house we wanted to buy, Danielle was great in making the 5 week process as smooth as possible. She was knowledgable, professional and honest, we would highly recommend using her.
KFH (especially Tiffany) made it easy for first time landlords. Very professional service, always available - even out of hours. Thank you very much!
