We 'interviewed' 3 local agents and chose to go with Knight & Knoxley. From day one they were communicative, helpful & had a great knowledge of the local market. Ours was not an easy house to sell but they came up with lots of viewings and we received two offers in a short space of time. Knight & Knoxley were imaginative & showed potential buyers plans of nearby houses which had been modernised so that the buyers could visualise the finished home. We completed the sale last week and feel we received a very good price for the house. We'd recommend the agency to anyone looking for an honest, independent representative. Clearly not all agencies are the same and we felt like we were dealing with decent human beings rather than estate agents. We were 100% satisfied and impressed.

*No heating instructions.
*Boiler was broken and flat icy cold for 12 hours. Plumber came promptly once reported and fixed boiler. Good service thank you.
*No electric kettle and No microwave
*Hob-top kettle doesn’t whistle, easy to forget and could boil dry
*Too much clutter in kitchen, no space for own food or to prepare food. 4 lemon squeezers, 7 saucepans and more than 10 big serving bowls, but no baking sheets or oven-safe dishes. Worried about breaking some of the lovely vintage china.
*Outdoor chairs are broken and uncomfortable
*Very comfortable bed, excellent linens and efficient electric blanket
*Plentiful towels, toilet rolls and toiletries. Kitchen roll would be nice addition
*Payment and key arrangements different from Booking.com listing. Not accepting credit cards is off-putting to many and should be stated up-front. Took nine days for deposit to be returned and I had to chase it
*Maybe consider a small armchair upstairs for comfortable enjoyment of the south-facing views - something like an Ikea Poang which could also be easily taken on to the terrace as well.
*Great to have hairdryer and straighteners in bedroom - thank you
*Perhaps list all the amenities on the ad so people know not to bring them, eg toiletries, coffee makers, hairdryer, electric blanket

We booked a holiday let via Knight & Knoxley in Hastings Old Town recently. The staff at K&K were really helpful and the property superb, ideally located in the centre of the Old Town. We had a great weekend, visiting lots of the local independent shops. Highly recommend Rock a Nore Kitchen if you like seafood :-)

From the moment we invited Mark Tozer, Branch Manager of Hastings Knight and Knoxley, to come and value our property, we liked him. He was calm and there was no sales hype in his conversation. Of all the agents we had in for a valuation, Mark was the only one who didn't run other agencies down, in fact he never mentioned another agency at all.
Throughout the whole sales negotiation and progression process both Mark and Ayrton (one of the sales negotiators) gave us exemplary service. They were personable, attentive and prompt to respond to our queries.
Our buyer's solicitor was the solicitor from hell and it became very stressful leading up to exchange. During this, however, Mark and Ayrton remained rational and supportive and offered clear sensible advice. They were a trustworthy intermediary between us and our buyers.
We are so glad we chose Knight and Knoxley to sell our property and can't speak highly enough about Mark and Ayrton. We whole-heartedly recommend them to sell your property.

Dealing with Knight & Knoxley was like night and day compared to our experience with other agents in Hastings. From the moment I spoke to Mark on the phone I could tell he was taking the time to understand the nuances of who we were and what we were looking for and that our journey down from London wouldn't be wasted.
We were shown some truly remarkable properties, any one of which was worthy of serious consideration, but what we weren't prepared for was how much fun the process would be. Even during the sticky stages of negotiation, Mark had a way of taking the stress away and going above and beyond to be supportive in the process.
As delighted as we are to have found a wonderful new home, we'll miss having an excuse to hang out with Mark!

We had a great weekend in this house. We were a mixed age group of 8 and because of the fantastic location, there was something for all of us to do. It's a few minutes walk to the beach, the funfair and amusements, and George Street has great shops and cafes. The house was really attractive, nicely furnished with plenty of space for us all. We can highly recommend it!

Rented a house in the Old Town from Knight & Knoxley. Nat was really helpful. The house was like stepping into a catalogue, the decor was beautiful, the place was pristine clean, the linen was so fresh and we loved the location on George’s St. Cannot fault it. Hastings was a last minute Easter trip because Whitstable and Margate were booked up and it beyond exceeded our expectations. So much to do there with a toddler, amazing places to eat and lovely shops to potter in. We left searching for houses for sale and debating the merits of commuting to London!

The Knight Knoxley team and specifically Calum, looked after us extremely well with our recent house sale.
The chain was complex and the time it took was also long and difficult but they remained calm and supportive throughout!

Had a wonderful stay at a lovely house in Old Town! Knight and Knoxley were absolutely great at helping us from giving us great recommendations to even offering to post a charger we had left behind. When we arrived there were beautiful fresh lilies in the dining room, and even some freshly baked bread in the kitchen - 5* attention to detail! Definitely one of the kindest and most helpful agents I have ever met, would definitely recommend if you are considering a visit to Hastings.

It is so nice to be dealing with such a professional team. Nothing was too much trouble and I was filled with confidence that I was in safe hands when I rented out my property. Ross could not do enough to help me, even offering to stay long after his working day to take delivery of kitchen goods. The whole team has been efficient and communicative throughout the process of finding a tenant and ensuring they are settled in. I highly recommend K&K. Having dealt with many many agents over the years this team has been by far the most competent, pro-active and honest I have ever encountered.Had a really pleasant surprise/good experience dealing with the team at K & K.
