I have just let out a flat with Oakfields. I was a tenant previously in one of their properties for 2.5 years, so I already knew they were a great and trusted team. My experience this week has been above and beyond though. I sadly am moving due to a break up and Jenny and Kim have been wonderful in their communication with me. Jenny accommodated me with an earlier viewing to fit around my work schedule. The viewing was with Kim, who was friendly, professional and has been incredibly communicative and on hand through the subsequent referencing process.
I recommend Oakfield without hesitation, and Jenny and Kim in particular. They made me feel at ease in the midst of a stressful process and difficult time.

We had a property inspection conducted by Jenni Lewis. We have no issues with our landlady, and she is happy with how we take care of the house. However, the agent took an unreasonable number of pictures, including a few with my mom in them, which were then included in the report. This is a complete breach of privacy, as my mom didn’t realize Jenni was taking pictures of her. The agent moved through the house like a typhoon.
I contacted the agency, and they removed the pictures and apologized, but the damage has already been done. I have no idea where or for how long they will store those personal photos. More importantly, my mom, who is 65, had to take blood pressure medication after this inspection, which was conducted with no respect for personal privacy.

I have had the worst experience with Tia and Oakfield, l moved into flat 2, 44 Cambridge road hastings and discovered that it was inhabitable , Oakfield distanced themselves from the flat and l had to deal with the landlord who was rude , l had to move out . Water would bubble up from the sink from heaven knows where . Up to now the said landlord is refusing with my part deposit. I had gotten the flat via Tia and Oakfield.
Disappointed.
The contractor only came days before l moved out all that time l stayed in that flat it was flooding , l never agreed to the landlord to keep my deposit. He had said he woulgive me all my money once l paid council tax which l did ages ago.in the bedroom ( main) there was constant dripping, have video for proof,

Tia was prompt and very professional, the organisation of the rental was easy to arrange and straightforward as a result. Jenny was great at the viewing too. However, on moving in and dealing with property management, there should have been an inventory, a full check of the pipes and heating and an induction pack or handover conversation. Teething issues with the property would have been resolved more quickly with those processes in place.

The team in Eastbourne are either out off the office when you call or off today or on holiday. This will be the frist thing you will here after signing up with them. Then they dont call you back even they say they will later..They Don't give you updat on house sale. They Don't do there research on buyers before telling you they got a offer. Then they just leave you waiting around for their call back all week or weeks sometimes. till then you got to call them back.. So My experience with Oldfield estate agent in Eastbourne 2022/2023 has been terrible. They're always changing their staff so you don't get to know that person dealing with your property for long. Iv had three offers on my house
and iv agreed on them all only to find out Oakfield didn't carry out any checks on the buyers and then after 8 months they didn't buy my house because they wasn't in the right position and Oakfield didn't chase them all this time.. It should not be called (Oakfield estate agent)..it should be called (Joke field estate agent) Think very hard before using them. They don't care about you if you sell or not as they get paid a wage anyway and don't get paid commission. They had 3 managers since I've been dealing with them and meny different staff so it tells you what an incompetence Estate agents they are if they keep moving people around. So good luck if you decide to use them. Thank you.

She's nothing like the stereotypical estate agent that we all love to hate. From the minute my friend and I met Kim we were impressed with how genuine, friendly, enthusiastic and professional she was. She could tell how excited we were with the property we viewed and she went out of her way to make sure we secured it.

Out of the all the letting agencies in Hastings these guys were to best most professional and most helpful, we have had a tough time in last 3 months and we needed a property ASAP so there was a beautiful property available in our price range we had at the time we phoned up Oakfield properties we explained our circumstances the thing they will find on our checks etc and they could not help us, so we went in and spoke to Tia and basically asked for help and advice and she was fantastic she set us on a route to go down which we did and now out of it we got a beautiful property in Swindon which we move into on 26th October 2023 without her help and advice we would still be stuck with no where to go so hats off to the team there been trained extremely well and are fantastic i will definitely recommend this company in the future. thank you so much for you help and advice.

Did not have a positive experience of Oakfield AT ALL. The communication was poor and it took ages to fix anything. Once they finally got round to it, all repairs were completed in the cheapest way possible. The staff were patronising and rude and it often seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. Having spent years renting, I have never come across a worse property management company. The flat itself could have been very nice but the way it was maintained was awful.

Very impressed with Oakfield and the way they have managed the renewal of my property's tenancy agreement. Larn did a great job by identifying that the previous rental amount needed to be increased to match the current rental market. This was negotiated and organised by Larn with minimal input from myself. Living overseas it is good to know that my rental income is being managed so well.

This is my second year of renting through Oakfields and once again their staff have been exemplary in walking me though the renewal of my tenancy. Thoughout my first year every one at Oakfields I spoke to was extremely pleasant, helpful and professional whatever the reason for my call and always rang back when they said they would. If I could give a minus 5 I would. I have been renting for 15 years and have never dealt with such incompetence and downright appalling management of a property. For at least THREE ENTIRE YEARS, I have been reporting major issues with windows and leaks and drafts in my house and they will not do a thing other than send contractors to shut me up then keep pushing back and back until “they need a new contractor to price it up due to the length of time since it was last priced”. I have been sending them pictures and all the proof they need, basically BEGGING them to sort it as my health is deteriorating. I have a literal whole in my bedroom wall where the plasterboard wall has collapsed due to damp which I have to stuff with carrier bags. The windows are almost out the frames and are very close to entirely coming out. I also have to stuff every window whole. The front room window frame is bowing and rotten from a huge leak. I am constantly unwell due to sleeping in freezing drafty temperatures and they are still not doing a single thing. It’s been 5 weeks since last contact even after me literally begging in my last email after sitting at home crying being unable to sleep in freezing temperatures. How these people sleep at night is beyond me, they should be absolutely disgusted with themselves. I have now officially reported this to the council and environmental health since they refuse to fix anything. I have lived here for 7 years and always pay rent on time, even paying way upfront in the past. All they want is money, simple as that.

The letting department seem to never know what is going on and cause more confusion and issues than anything - although, this may be mostly due to our experience with one person, Luke. If you are renting make sure anyone else but Luke is your property manager for the sake of you and your tenants.
