What can i say. Not having sold a property for some years now i felt a little overwhelmed. Jamie from MANN Portsmouth arrived at our door to provide a valuation on our property. The moment he entered our house he made my wife and I feel very relaxed about the whole process. His knowledge about the properties in the area and what we could obtain for ours made us feel at ease straight away and he provided a valuation that we were extremely satisfied with. But it didn't stop there. Jamie continued to provide all of the information we needed and within two weeks our property was sold. I cannot rate Jamie and the team highly enough. I must also mention Anna at MANN Waterlooville who has also been extremely helpfull in our search for a new property. All of the sales team at MANN have been extremely kind and courteous to my wife and I throughout this process. Thank for a great job well done.

I would definitely recommend Mann sales and Lettings. Our property was for sale for a long time and our interest in Mann lettings was to rent it asap, in case a long awaited sale fell through. The manager lee was very efficient with regular contact and information. we did not need to use the letting facility in the end but I was very impressed with Mann sales and lettings,and particularly with Lee.

One of the worst estate agents I have ever encountered. I was given an appointment to view a property, but a day before, I received a message stating that it's sold. Despite that, I received another call seven days later, claiming the same property is back on the market and scheduling a second appointment. I requested an early appointment, but they couldn't accommodate due to the landlord's unavailability, forcing me to reschedule other commitments, including childcare. To my dismay, I received a call on the same day of the viewing, informing me that the property is now sold. Beware of this estate agent if you're selling your house; their professionalism is questionable.

If you are a landlord I advice not to waist time with them! It’s being a nightmare for me! They make you feel like you have lost your property and they are the owner, there is no decision you can take without them to authorize otherwise they start ignore you, you don’t get response to emails and calls at all!! The only person I can rely on is Joshua, professional and always ready to talk. Very disappointed about Jay, the manager.

Having previously engaged the services of another local Estate Agents who’s efforts were, I would politely say, less than adequate at best, dealing with Mann and Co was a breath of fresh air. I cannot recommend them enough and the five star rating is more than earned and deserved. From start to finish each step has been dealt with in a professional and knowledgeable way, their experience in the local housing market is exemplary, which without, I would imagine our property would still have a ‘For Sale’ sign outside. I wanted some advice as I’ve recently had an offer accepted but the homebuyers report came back negatively. I decided to call this company as they had a nice property on sale and we’re not related to the agents I’ve spoke to before. I was then given honest friendly advice and they told me that they were the manager and that they closed 15 minutes ago! Even though they didn’t have to give me customer service they still chose to do so.

We bought a house that the agancy had for sale and when we put the offer we were not aware that there were things wrong with the house. There were authorisations missing, they had no idea about works that had been done to the house, no electricity and gas certificates and we had to pay for them all. We could have retrieve our offer, but by that time we felt like we don't want to start again the whole process and property offered some futures we were keen on. When we took the keys we found £53 debt on electricity and a lot of rubbish and personal belongings from previous owner that we had to pay to get rid of.
On the positive side, Olivia was really good at chasing things along the process for us and was very polite and helpful and has good communication skills.

Worst agency, taking in to account how we have been treated, Shocking encounter with the representative agents. If any option to give zero star I would have given that. It seems that they only care of putting money in their pocket. They rented us a house in awful conditions and gave no care after. My wife rented house from them, she is first time in UK. Viewed the house seeing the advertisement, it's was not cleaned by that time but assured her it's will be cleaned before occupying. Before signing tenancy fixed an appointment to view the house for which they agreed, as soon as she went there they came with excuse they don't have the key some guest took the keys which is a bit shocking, even they never bothered to call and inform if that was the situation. She have been told if need to be viewed before signing tenancy then it's need to be shifted for some other day but assured that the house was cleaned. Believing them tenancy was signed and made shift on the same day. But it's was big mistake from her side. The house was not cleaned, even it was not possible to breath as she was feeling suffocating and vomiting. The floor mats were full of dust and smells very badly and the same too from kitchen. More over the room heaters not working lights not working for which they are not responding on complaints already made several times. On mailing the matter she got mail if she want to vacate she can do but with conditions that the first month rent will not be refunded but will get the deposit back as whole amount. But shockingly when called them again to confirm about vacating they changed from there previous statement of deposit refund. Now what's they says is entirely opposite, saying first month rent was for landlord and for each day of stay certain amount will be deducted from deposit amount. She just feel cheated by the Mann as it's clear shows from this kind of attitude towards the customer. As she is first time in the UK she completely feels broken and helplessness.

Inconsiderate and haphazard agency, Avoid. I found the perfect place for myself but having not viewed it myself I had a couple of questions (energy, bills) and also wanted to know about the timeframe in which I would receive my deposit back once the tenancy period was over. I was passed over to Jay on the phone who proceeded to tell me that in 8 years he’d never received questions like that. I found his conduct rude and unprofessional. He then went on to tell me (maybe cooerced is a better word) that he didn’t think I was ready to move and that I shouldn’t proceed with my planned agreement. Excuse me? I find it shocking that a letting agent would convince you to back out of an agreement, especially when holding fees have been paid and your planned move in date is the following week. I then went on to tell him how I’d already organised and paid for my internet and with my move in date being next week I was clearly committed. I asked him upfront why are you saying this? And Instead of providing any reassurance or explanation, he just kept telling me that I should back out and that he “just didn’t think I was ready”.
I’m appalled. I want to make it abundantly clear in this review that his unprofessional conduct and constant goading and patronising on the phone is the single and ONLY reason why I chose not to proceed with my favourite flat. Maybe the intent was to pressure me into signing a tenancy agreement that I’d only received a day ago. Which might I add, took over 2 weeks to produce.
I’m devastated, I’ve been planning to move cities (4 hour journey) all month and in a single instance my plans have been destroyed. Agencies are meant to instil confidence and support your journey.. this agency or specifically this man flipped the switch on me. It’s funny because my concern about deposit stemmed from reading bad reviews about Katie and Jay on Google. You would think they would therefore try harder to avoid similar complications and instead it was proven to be correct.
With that said, Lee was fantastic throughout the whole process. This is my first time ever writing a Google review because I am truly still in shock by all this. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. If I could give a 0/5 I would.

Worst agency ever!! Unprofessional people there taking to the account how we have been treated and what information has been passed to us.
First of all we have been calling MANN several times to get the information regarding our deposit, next steps/inventory check etc. as nobody bothered to let us know what will happen next after we moved out and and who is doing what. We have been put through to Katie who advised us to contact the landlord as she said that he is the person who will do the inventory check as he is managing the property, also he is the one to decide about the deposit (which is fair enough). After conversation with her we got in touch with the landlord who said that he will call MANN and he will get back to us. Again few days later landlord said that Jay was the person who was doing the inventory check and we both agreed (based on the report) that we will receive £700 back. So i called again MANN-again was talking to Katie who has advised us to send email stating the agreement between us and landlord and she will forward it to the deposit company. Both landlord and us sent it immediately to her. I also put at the end of email if she can reply and confirm that she received both of our emails. She didnt. I had to call MANN again, Katie picked up the phone and confirmed that she passed our emails to deposit company. That was Saturday 23rd of September. I called MANN again on Monday to find out more about deposit team. She didnt give me any details but asked to wait few more days for our deposit back. Few days later-nothing. So i emailed her asking about email address to them or at least number which will work! As we had number to them which didnt work and we had no chance to get through to deposit team!!. Her reply was only that she forwarded my email to them and she is not getting involved in this anymore! Very unprofessional ! Finally when i called MANN again few days later I reached to Jay and he advised that they need email from us confirming agreement with the landlord? So that means that nothing has been done by Katie for 2 weeks!!!
For this all time since we moved out we didnt get any proper reply from MANN nor support. We felt like we were receiving contradictory information. I started to take legal action against them! But I called MANN again as i thought I will give them a chance to give me some info about our deposit. Katie answered the phone and she hanged up on me!! She is the worst person in this agency, zero professionalism or people skills!!! So i called them again and other lady answered. She was kind enough to give me the correct mobile number to deposit team! Finally after 30 days since we moved out! And guess what! Lady from deposit team said that the reason why its taking so long is because MANN didn't report to them that we moved out!!!!!!! This is a JOKE!!
AVOID this agency !!!
I never had to wait so long for my deposit back and it wasn't my first or second place i rented !!! I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism! They clearly don't care about you!
Everything is smooth when you want to move in but when you want your money back-the problem starts!!

Shocking encounter with the representative agents on an enquiry to view a marketed property for sale.
The rep advised that the Mann agency will not show existing home owners their marketed properties until the existing property is sold or on the market, conveniently offering to come and value the existing property and to discuss their services.
I for certain would not want agents to be speaking to perspective buyer in such manner and would encourage anyone using the agency to market their property to mystery shop the agency to understand what genuine prospect buyer's will encounter on conversations with this agency.

He said that they would let quickly and whilst one took all of 3 days the other 18 hours !! Throughout the process he has been available on mobile and continues to check in randomly to make sure all is running smoothly.
We let other properties out via another agent and our experience with them was terrible - Alec knew of this and has literally been at our side throughout the current lettings and there is no chance we will use anyone but him in the future. Had a few other agents out to value the property most of whom agreed at around the same price, only difference with Mann was the certainty on how easily and quickly the property would sell. Jamie advised on the day of the valuation the best course to sell the property. This was through an open house, within 2 hours the property already had two offers.

We listed our property for sale with Mann in October 2020 and initially they were very attentive and professional. A buyer was found who was looking to make a cash purchase with a small top up mortgage. They were in local rented accommodation. Perfect.
Unfortunately Mann failed to do the correct checks on the buyer and it turned out they were not in a position to buy our property. This took over 4 months to establish. In that time we lost 2 ongoing purchases and their associated costs (searches, surveys etc) as our buyer was unresponsive and creating delays.
Mann didn't question that the buyer was not contacting them for updates, or that they were not returning paperwork to their solicitor (provided by Countrywide). Any contact with the buyer resulted in a response of "the paperwork is days away, they're just really busy at the moment".
We appreciate that an agent can only act on the information provided to them, and in good faith believe it to be correct. However, we feel that Mann did not act appropriately on our behalf, nor did they protect our best interests as their client. As difficult a conversation it would have been, they should have used their industry expertise to identify that the buyer was a non-starter and recommended that we relist the property for sale. Unfortunately their inability to act broke our relationship with them and ultimately we no longer trusted them to market our home.
We accept that we gave the buyer the benefit of the doubt for too long and should have cut them off sooner. Our time has been massively wasted and our good nature eroded.
I would not recommend this branch of Mann.

It’s almost an Year. I vacated last year Dec 2019 from Lee-On-The-Solent, Me /my husband called/emailed every month Many times. didn’t get my deposit 900£ yet.initially they said landlord didn’t respond, we cleaned the whole property by spending more to made sure it’s suitable for let in.But still we didn’t get a response and money. Is anyone who’s responsible there to get back to us with our Deposit? I hope there is no point If you come up with reduction in deposit Because it’s almost an year now.

DO NOT RENT THROUGH MANN - started Small issue - raised 6 voicemails over 3 weeks - no response! NOW it's urgent, to water through the ceiling, 5 more voicemails over 3 days, and calling Mann and the Emergency line, and NO RESPONSE! Manager Jay claims they rent, but don't deal with any house issues, and no interest in any help with chase to the maintenance team, in his words 'Doesn't see any point him trying, they will get back to the voicemail' How helpful, this is a 70 year old couple that can't use any washing facilities, but of course - Mann will be there for rent payment day! As a landlord myself - I'd want to be dealing with a house issue from a tenant, but nothing can be done if the agent isn't dealing with it! - I would not recommend any landlord to use this estate agent, the house be falling apart by the time they tell you!!

Fantastic Estate Agent! Everyone was friendly, professional and knowledgable, giving us realistic advice about how to sell the property quickly, and with a minimum of fuss. They conducted all the viewings whilst we took mum out, and a buyer was found within a few weeks. As the sale progressed, they kept us informed regularly, which enabled me to ensure mum didn't get too stressed. Sale completed almost exactly 12 weeks from the offer-which, as they had advised the average sale now takes 12-16 weeks, we thought was spot on. Overall, I would definitely recommend Mann at North End in Portsmouth. Great Job!

Absolute cowboy estate agents, by far the worse estate agents in Portsmouth. Have been purchasing a property from these guys and throughout the process I received 1 call.... the process has now been dragging on for 12 months. They originally changed point of contact twice and when I left numerous voice mails and emails to chase, no one even had the courtesy to get back to me with an update. I would highly recommend to stay away from these guys, what an absolute joke!!

An appalling service, deepening the stress levels of selling a property exponentially. From offers not being passed on but turned down ‘on our behalf’, to no communication for weeks at a time, to the manager telling us, “Of course we lie, but all estate agents lie.” The agents we were purchasing from were excellent communicators, contacted everyone in the chain regularly, and required no constant chasing. I would advise avoiding Mann in North End at all costs - and I don’t say that lightly. It took them several weeks just to spell names correctly on the memorandum of sale. If you can avoid, DO.

scammers, lie, and then deny. When I moved, I asked if it would not be a problem, because one day after the day I always paid the rent, I was told it was not a problem. After a month, I moved away, dismiss the keys. Moving out I asked for a deposit and I was informed that I still lived there for a month. I received this information when I had been away for a long time and when they had their keys for a week. In this way, they dishonestly mislaid a rent or deposit. The question why they accepted the termination of the lease and the keys and there was no question in a month, no answer, just stopped answering my calls and e-mails. They stole money and that's all. If anyone with their services will be deceived, deceived in error, and somehow robbed from them money.

Cheaters! They did not extend the tenancy agreement saying the landlord doesnt want to rent it and made me vacate the property. And the next day, they put an ad on the website about the same property being available on a higher rent! They charge huge sum as Agents fee! Had no hot water for over a week now. During the 13 months I've been living here the water has failed over and over. Sick of paying so much for a flat with a rubbish water heater. Nobody seems to want to get back to me to fix it this time round.
I've also had workmen turn up unannounced to fix the water heater for downstairs (they need to access my flat to do so!!)

It has a been a dream move for me. I moved from abroad and Mann has just lived up to their commitment which we made through mails. Landed in UK second day had a house viewing arranged and with in a week I moved to the house. Technically the house was getting vacated on the same day. Mann has put a lot of extra effort to meet my needs. I do appreciate their efforts to make this happen. We do have them supporting now in my property. They had extremely helpful. This is a professional experience you would ont get unless they do understand your priorities and requirements. Thanks a lot Mann Team for this experience. Myself and my partner moved in together leaving his Nan's flat vacant, so I used Mann Lettings in North End Portsmouth to find her a tenant and fully manage the property for her. Beth, Charlotte, Ben & Steve were fantastic from start to finish finding us a tenant in record term for the full rental value they marketed the property for. This tenant changed her mind and instead of being set back from this, Mann instantly found us a replacement and the tenants moved in the day after my partner vacated meaning his Nan had income immediately which she was delighted with! All in all, fantastic work by the whole team!

In the past I had awful experiences with Mann Countrywide Lettings, so was nervous to even view a property with them, let alone sign up a new contract with them.
Jade Denenish was our personal fairy godmother! Besides from everything else she has changed our opinion of Countrywide Lettiongs - which we did not think was possible. She worked hard to find us what we wanted and needed. She took on board our requirements and was honest with us. As soon as she found us the perfect home she called me and then did everything she needed to to help us secure the property and at a standard my young family could comfortably work with.
She had endless patience with our wanting to view the property repeatedly for different reasons (partly just because we were excited about moving in). She followed up requests promptly and responded to emails or voicemails swiftly. I would (and already have) recommend Jade and Mann Countrywide to anyone looking for a property to let.
5 star service, 5 star helpfulness, cannot thank Jade enough!

I was buying a property in Royal Tunbridge wells through Frances Burkinshaw but the house sale on my property in Portsmouth fell through. The team suggested I tried letting the proeprty out and doing a Let to Buy mortgage. I was doubtful but they sugguested their sister company Mann Countrywide to assit letting it out. I intrusted them and they had it let within a week! Real team effort, couldnt be happier!
