The only thing I’ve found better than the accommodation is the team at Cubitt and West! They’ve resolved any issues I’ve raised within 24 hours, the support from the team, especially Becky, has been completely unwavering and they have all been extremely accommodating. I consulted a property to rent with the agent MR Singh and MS White. I also received a text confirming the viewing was booked at 4:45 pm yesterday. But they did not show up and only for once another agent picked up my call saying she would try to reach Ms White. I ended up waiting for 1 hour and no one answering to me anymore.

Whilst the branch staff were great in letting my property since then I have discovered that head office staff let them down once there are any problems. My tenant stopped paying - very little has been done to get the arrears back and now it looks like they haven't served notice correctly so eviction is likely to be delayed even longer.

If I could give less stars I would.
Moving you into the property they’re nice and make things pretty easy. (Taking money is always better than giving it back out isn’t it.)
Took me 6 weeks of attempting contact to inform them I wanted to move out. No one could help me so I went straight to the landlord. Even after the landlord had told them I still hadn’t heard anything for a further 2 weeks before having to contact my landlord again.
Thankfully my landlord helped me a lot and kicked their arses into gear - or so I thought
My move out date was now confirmed as the 21st of the month- amazing helped me loads, (you’ll get your deposit back on the 22nd)
Still no contact from them. I have called 15 times in the past few days with no one answering any voicemails or even just answering the phone.
So again I contact my landlord who informs me the check out report hadn’t been done until yesterday over a week after the agreed move out date. So I still am yet to receive my deposit back which should have been done and issued by now. (Never known a company to take 2 months to get someone out of a property) would have thought they’d have wanted to try and rent my room so it wasn’t just sat empty, oh wait they didn’t even advertise it until 3 weeks after being told I was moving out and a week before my move out date ????
NEVER EVER RENT WITH THIS “COMPANY”
No one in the company knows what’s going on- no one is willing to assist you- won’t even answer the phones when you call. Over all a joke of an estate agents and shouldn’t be letting houses or even selling them. Utterly useless.

Having spent 3 intense weeks looking to purchase an investment property and having had dealings with 4 estate agents and 7 of their consultants, it’s been a juggling act. I’ve dealt with a mixed skillset of professionals and found most to be eager and competent. As a tenant for over 10 years l suffered accusations of non payment of rent!!!! Lack receipts for rent, rent credited to ibcorrect address..was never able to get into tenants hub....
Total lack of service in general....When l moved , it was no better....

Mo and his team have been utterly outstanding. This would easily be a 5* review were it not for the firm of solicitors that Cubitt and West recommend to buyers. That firm have been atrocious and have held the sale up considerably causing totally unnecessary stress.
We highly recommend the team at C&W but best avoid their conveyancers at all cost.

The staff I dealt with at this Cubitt & West were exceptional. Michael Sinnott was my main point of contact and he was an incredibly friendly, helpful, patient and efficient advisor. He answered every question I had promptly, pressed for more information from third parties when he had to and was a delight to deal with.
Unfortunately Michael was unwell on the day my offer was accepted, but Michelle took over and despite only temporarily dealing with my purchase was just as warm and friendly as Michael was.
In this market it really is brilliant to have estate agents who adopt a slightly more personal approach to dealing with buyers.

Myself and wife were looking to buy a rental property, we tried to view a house we had previously lived in as a rental ourselves however it was already under offer before we could view. I spoke to staff at the branch and the lettings manager who knew us from our time renting from them at the property I was interested in, they knew to let us know if it became re-available. Unfortunately this was not the case and despite us being registered with them we were not informed of the fact the sale had fallen through.
Luckily we were tipped off by a friend and contacted the branch , we booked a viewing and Michelle Foster conducted the viewing , I had met her previously at another property we had viewed . I found her friendly and knowledgeable and easy to get along with . We made an offer and at the moment are proceeding well with the purchase .
Like with most companies there are good staff and those that aren’t so good or don’t bother or care about clients.
Michelle though was a plus for cubitts , from our point of view I would be happy to deal with Michelle again.We have fingers crossed that the team at Cubitts continue to work for us and the sale goes through soon.
I may use them for my ongoing rental of the property , however I will decide upon this after completion and upon speaking to the lettings department who we have not always had plain sailings with .

Supposed to have viewed a property today arranged by Abbie on Friday and was assured when we phoned Abbie that any offers made from the time of our phone call to the time of veiwing wouldn't be put forward until our offer was considered (6 months upfront) - obviously called them today before viewing and they've already let the property.... unbelievable, just another incompetent estate agent to avoid in Portsmouth.
Tried to lie and say they'd called and emailed us as well, I've got nothing and neither does my partner it wasn't until we phoned that we were informed they'd already let the property. Poor service.

So this is my first time moving out and going to rent a house/flat so I am not as experienced as some and I do need some support and guidance from agents. Some agents brush you off and think about themselves but the agents I have met from Cubitt & West estate agents (Daniel & Abbie) have been absolutely amazing. They were welcoming to the house/flat that I was viewing and they helped with every question I asked. We had to find a rental for a short term very quickly with the added potential complexity of it being furnished. I contacted so many estate agents with little reply. We had a prompt, professional and efficient service from cubit and West in North end. Abbie was our contact and she was so kind and did everything she could for us. When searching for a house to buy, C&W in Portsmouth were always the most efficient, straightforward, polite and supportive, allowing us plenty of time (much more than other agencies) to view properties without hurrying us, and even though we didn't ultimately buy from them, this good impression convinced us to return to them to let a property. From the start, Marcus and his lettings team have been extremely efficient, informative, have given us excellent advice at every step, also offering very competitive prices eg for their recommended insurances, EICR and gas safety certificates and even a professional pre tenancy cleaner. Do not use this agency. They will take your deposit. If you do NIL deposit, then they will make claims that cost more to fight than pay. You will be cornered and legally scammed by Property Mgmt. and those external entities (Let Alliance) they leverage to make threats of legal and outside intervention. They put ££ over wrong from right. It doesn't matter that you are a human being. They make extra money by placing you next to half way houses or other unconventional flats (without telling you).
In my young family's case - we were charged for giving property back in better shape than received. The arbitrator they brought in knew it - however it would have costed us more to fight than to pay.

We rented a property in Portsmouth through this agency and it was the worst decision we made. I have lived in a number of rental properties through different estate agents and this was by far the worst! The house was dirty, mouldy, there was razor blades and screws left on the floor. We had a hole in the floor in our hallway which took forever to get fixed. Very unhelpful team. Also when we moved out we cleaned the garden and carpets and now they are charging us over £200 for garden clearance and floor clean. It’s ridiculous. Stay away from this company at all costs

Cubbit & West sold my house, they did their part very well. They are friendly, they care and keep updating you all the time. They managed the time frame of 6-8 weeks for the sale. Unfortunately the buyers solicitors Lawcomm gave them hard time by not doing their part, and the sale took more than 4 months. Thank you to Andy, Julie, Aaron and Clair you are the best guys. Keep up the good work. I need more stars for you.

We're currently selling our house. We wanted to view a property advertised by Cubitt and West, and they insisted on valuing our house first, although we had already decided on another agent. They came round to do the valuation, and were very pushy with respect to trying to get us to sign up to a contract, although their commission was twice as much and they had additional marketing fees. It was suggested that if we didn't list with them that any offer on the property they had advertised would not be considered seriously. I now avoid even arranging viewings of properties advertised with Cubitt & West ...

renting a property from them was the worse experience of my life . oven didn't work for first week, all drains were blocks when moving in phoned maintenance about in and no one came. I had to do that myself. had no heating at the coldest period of the year for about 2 weeks plus pipes were leaking. private landlords for me in future.

The worst agency ever. Lack of communication between them and wit clients. Only for themselves and their pockets. Are liers. Smiling to your face and when you are going thinking are serious people, discover that are liar and cheat. Seriously, dont ever tried to rent from ther. I meet people who told me I shouldn't sign contract with them. I have friends who are in the same situation. ????????????. Very good, polite and cheating when you don't expect.

Having had bad experiences with other letting agents in the past, it was a delight to find an agency that pulled out all the stops for me. I needed to move quickly (in 2/3 days) due to personal circumstances and Chris from the Portsmouth branch moved heaven and earth and managed to get all the paperwork done so that I could move within 3 days. He was efficient and professional and I would highly recommend him and Cubitt and West to anyone needing a good professional service, who treats you with respect and does everything to help you move within tight timescales when needed. I would certainly go through them again without hesitation.

Linda Edwards and Kasey Paffett from Cubitt & West (North End branch) found tenants for one of my rental houses on the same day that they got the keys from me. They managed to achieve what I would consider a high rent for the property. I was overjoyed. When I had a small issue with a tenant and a change was needed to our agreement they dealt with it perfectly and at no extra cost. They are both easy to reach, friendly and extremely competent at what they do. I have since recommended that my mum should have them find tenants for her rental properties and I would highly recommend them to any Home Owners/Investors who are looking for a fantastic service.

I am a small scale landlord with lots of questions for the lettings team at Cubitt and West. All the team were unfailingly polite helpful and professional I felt as if they genuinely wanted to find me the best tenant for my flat.
Most of the time I dealt with Kasey Paffett who always phoned/e mailed me back very promptly was kind thoughtful and very knowledgeable.
