Rude staff, left me waiting for days for an answer, only to tell me its been sold. Extremely unhelpful will not use again

If I could give this company less than 1 Star I absolutely would. I have never met such unprofessional and inhuman people in all my years on this planet. They talk to you like you’re beneath them and When they are actually in the office (which is hardly ever) I have had the phone put down on me many of times.
Very unprofessional people and all they care about is their clients, not you, and even that is too much effort for them. They are very robotic when it comes to empathy and understanding. All they want is your money and if you think you will EVER get a deposit back..... think again!!!
How this company is still in business is beyond me. I will NEVER use this company again and will warn others from using them too.

NO We had a terrible rental experience with Martin’s Estate Agency, It was agreed that all our deposit would be returned as we didn’t live in the bungalow for long and we returned it as it was even cleaned the carpets, cooker, etc etc etc, mint, and so the Rip-Off Agent took 750£ of our deposit held in there own bank. My advice is AVOID THIS MARTINS LITTLEHAMPTON the biggist FAMILY RUN Con-artists around. I say Dave’ your a crook to say the least and that’s just the tip of the list.

AVOID!! Everything is too much effort for this company. As a tennant they will will drag there feet and make a fuss about fixing any problems there is with the property and as a landlord they will take minanle care of it and complain every time they have to do any work. (Picking up the landladies mail was a massive chore for them that they only did once and just kept asking us to take it to them)
We put up with stained carpets, broken sofa, broken furniture, a warn out matress, no hot water in the kitchen from day one without any attempt to fix any of these things and it took them three weeks to fix the broken heating in the middle of winter. Very reluctant to do anything. (Even the Plummer moaned about coming out!) After six months our tenantcy was at its end and we chose not to renew due to the flat not being anywhere near up to scratch. At this point they tried to charge us for breaking items like the sofa and getting the carpet cleaned and so on. Very disappointed with the survice we recived throughout and would be heart broken if this was my flat they where 'looking after'. Avoid at all costs. Even a smile is too much like hard work for these people.

I have used Martin and Co for a number of years now and deal directly with Dave. Experiences have always been great and have no complaints whatsoever. If you have a property you wish to let, do not hesitate to use them.

Martin and Co have been letting managing my 12 properties for over 8 years. We have had a first class service and always a quick response to problems. They have always found tenants quickly and it is rare that a property remains unoccupied for more than a month.
I have experienced 2 other letting agents locally who were appalling. David McGregor the manager at Martin & Co has been our saviour.
So I would always recommend them to any Landlord.

We rented a house through Martin and Co until recently. We have now moved abroad and have vacated. When we moved in to the property it was in a real state. We made a huge effort and even did a load of decorating. We had a checkout inspection with Martin and co and where given the impression that all was fine. Now a month has passed and despite numerous emails and calls we can still see no sign of our deposit being returned. Because we had heard that Martin and co had done this to friends of ours we had a photographer take pictures of the whole house. Now we have been left with no choice other than to take them to court. It is a real shame because they seem like a really friendly family business but there is obviously something going on with them. I would never deal with them again and would recommend that you avoid them.
