5 star service from Christina Hughes and Craig Norris at McFarlanes, Cricklade. In a very challenging market our ex-rental property was advertised on a Monday, viewings took place the next day and we accepted an offer the day after.
Craig was responsible for presale advice and presentation of the property on the internet. Thereafter Christina kept us informed of the progress of the sale, acting as intermediary between us, our buyer and both parties’ solicitors and was proactive in pushing things along when progress seemed to be losing momentum.

Bradley Bates is the first person I spoke to at McFarlane, Cricklade…
When they added a new property to Rightmove, I knew just by looking at the photos it was my families forever home.
Even though I told Bradley my house was not on the market, he booked a viewing for us the following day.
6 days later, McFarlane sold my house and I purchased our new home.
Bradley is professional, approachable and friendly. He took the time to listen and understand our position.
Bradley takes a methodical approachable to his work. He did a great job at taking photos, including drone photos. He kept us updated on offers and viewings by phone and email.
Bradley was also the onsite contact for all our property viewings. We left the house with Bradley and returned when the viewings were complete.
At a stressful time, Bradley calmly takes things in his stride and puts you at ease, knowing he is in full control of everything he does for you.

I have to say McFarlanes have been brilliant throughout. From placing on sale to open day, and all along the way. Our sale got very tricky due to buyers solicitors being rubbish, then ours being slow, and I honestly thought it was all going to fall apart. And if it hadn't been for Jo Costin, it may well have done. Jo was a godsend, professional, hard working, and organised, she did a better job than the solicitors. It got to a point where I had totally given up hope but Jo kept pushing and chasing both solicitors, and finally 5 months later we completed. Thanks Jo....you have kept me sane during this process. At a late stage in the process with a major sticking point going round in circles Christina resolved the issue which neither our or the buyers solicitors felt inclined to progress or come to an agreement. Fantastic agents, who deliver a much more person centred service unlike other agents who try to cram as many people as possible for viewings, and inevitably make buying a house a stressful experience, due to the amount of offers in competition.

After a bad experience dealing with the on line company “ strike “ who were hopeless - my confidence in estate agents was not good . I needn’t have worried from my initial viewing with Tim , to follow up calls about my offer were dealt with attentively and professionally. I would never normally leave a review about an estate agent, but McFarlanes are different. They are both professional and friendly at the same time. We had a young agent called Tom, who was both courteous and capable simultaneously. He recommended professional photos which, at first, we were unsure about, but the proof was very much in the pudding, basically these sold the property. But after the sale is s where McFarlanes are different. Tom recommended both solicitors and mortgage agents, both of which we’ve settled with despite researching alternatives. All in all recommended

I tried selling my house with a, supposedly, leading Cricklade Estate Agent for over a year but they failed dismally. Having spoken to Tim at length, I instructed McFarlane to sell it and, bang, 2 days later it was sold.
The McFarlane Cricklade team is the epitome of everything you could want in an Estate Agent - well-connected, knowledgeable and professional. I was struck by their interpersonal skills which is what you want in someone representing your property to others. Tim & Tom were both highly proactive estate agents and attracted a lot of interest in the property which culminated in a sale after 48hrs of them marketing it. Silvia then ensured a meticulous progression of the sale, updating me on a daily basis. McFarlane should be the Estate Agent of choice if you want a professional and proactive team to represent you. We called this company to get our house valued and potentially listed for sale. Made an appointment with Julian. He never turned up. Called the office, somebody called me back and said Julian was meant to call me to cancel as he had to go home. He never did. They said he would ring me on the next day to see if we can rearrange, again never did. It fills me with dread imagining people like this trying to sell my house. I would stay well clear.

I’ve used this agency both to rent out and sell my house. They are Blue Chip by their level of professionalism and come very highly recommended.
Both my Let and Sale over the last 18 months went swimmingly well, both offices driven by their superb teams based in Swindon and Cricklade that always went the extra mile. They are to be commended and should be considered for an Industry Award for setting the standards so high.
Their service is very personable and I found their rates quite competitive, especially when you compare their work ethics with other agents I’ve dealt with in the past.
