Connells is by far the worst Estate agents in my opinion. I moved out of a property let and managed by them in May 2024 and I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned despite chasing them for weeks. They have no sense of urgency (not to tenants in my opinion) and don't care as long as they get their commission. Very poor customer service and I will not be encouraging anyone to doing business with them. Don't be fooled by the brand name.

I’ve not had any dealings recently with estate agents so it’s hard to rate my experience but on the whole I think they have done a good job. There were some errors in the property details but these were rectified and we were kept fully informed of visits by prospective purchasers. We have accepted an offer so are just waiting on the solicitors now.

Would have given zero stars if possible. Mum has alzheimers and they wanted me to break the chain to ensure her house sold. They were happy to.force my mum into temporary accommodation to get the house sale.Took 11 months for the move to happen through their recommend solicitors. No compassion or help during the whole process because the house purchase was not through Connells. Avoid at all costs.

All I can say is WOW!!! Carl Montgomery helped me with my mortgage and what a dream he was to deal with. I appointed Connells to take over the management of my apartment from Haart. They were amazing from the word go. Advice and guidance from start really put me at ease. At the same time i instructed them to take over the sale of my property. This was in January. When someone does a great job, goes above and beyond and puts themselves out for the good of others, I truly believe they should be praised, we as a nation thrive on criticism and only sharing experiences that are negative, but we need to focus more on celebrating the great people and experiences we have had.
While searching for a property in Swindon, I dealt with Connells in North Swindon. In particular a young lady called Bev Willis, although new to the business, her attitude and willingness to help did not go unnoticed!
Bev Willis was polite, professional and bubbly, she did her very best to make sure she found a property suited to me. She kept me informed and updated and went out of her way to help me secure it once we found a suitable property.

Connells arranged to view multiple properties on my behalf based on a description of what I was looking for, and did a great job matching ones I was interested in.
On the day of viewings Jake went above and beyond. Despite an unforeseen road closure in Swindon, his knowledge of the area and enthusiasm still meant we managed to get to the property on-foot and view it. We also managed to finish viewings on-time so that I could return to work without feeling rushed. Throughout all of this he remained professional, extremely friendly and had a positive sense of humour.
Overall, I had an extremely good time as a potential buyer and would strongly recommend them.

Requested viewing of property via website. Received phone call on the Sunday and arranged viewing for 5pm on the Tuesday. Received another call on the Bank Holiday Monday from someone else, who were told we were contacted on the Sunday? Turned up at viewing at 5pm on the Tuesday and no one turned up. Called number on For Sale Sign outside property, spoke to man when said the property was sold , and he didn't know who had phoned and arranged viewing because nobody worked on Sunday!? On the face of it Connells don't seem to know what they have For Sale and who works for them and when. Not impressed as a potential buyer.

Dealt with Alicia McCauley, and Sarah both who stepped up from the very beginning of my partner and I having no idea where to even start with a mortgage. The reason for this review is for Alicia, she held our hand throughout the whole process and I know spoke to my partner over some minor worries she had and put her at ease within minutes, it seemed whenever we had a question she'd have got back to us straight away no matter when it was. From day 1 of deciding that we wanted to sell our house and move up on the housing market Connells were phenomenal.
All in all it took 11 weeks from having the house valued to move day – and this wouldn’t have been achievable if it wasn’t for the hard work of the whole team at Connells, North Swindon.
Alicia has sorted out our mortgage and insurances before so I knew that she would provide a first class service, she was responsive, highly knowledgeable and nothing was ever too much for her – an absolute star and I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us.
Sarah – I’m not sure what I can really say that does her work justice, she is just WONDERFUL. Sarah met us a few times at our new house so we could have tradespeople price jobs up, was always at the end of the phone when I had a question or just a good old moan! Sarah has helped push our sale and our purchase through without really any stress on our side and if I’m honest she was the reason we decided to buy and sell with Connells, because we knew that she was just ace!
We met a number of the team members from the Connells North Swindon branch and I’m really sorry that I don’t remember their names – they were all so helpful, friendly and I can’t thank everyone enough for all of their hard work throughout our buying and selling process.

I approached Connells due to a property I saw in North Swindon and their staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable of my needs and requirements and they did everything possible for me to acquire the property.
The most important part for us was the fact that I was already told by another broker that I couldn't get a mortgage lender due to the corona virus pandemic but when I got introduced to the Connells broker and her name was Alicia, she changed everything for us to the good and made our dream come through. And the way she did saved us a lot of time by sorting out our entire mortgage application that covers everything we were supposed to do without ever having to go to any banks physically or even speak to any bank and she also followed up with the lender and kept us updated constantly so that we are aware of everything going on and where we stood with the chance of getting the mortgage etc.
We were so nervous because the lender did move the goal post a few times but that was expected due to everything going on in the world right now but finally, Alicia did chase the bank and submitted every paperwork requested by the lender that we also provided on time and now we've got the mortgage offer and can't be happier with the AMAZING job that ALICIA did for us and still continues to do as we still not at the finish line yet but we very close and we cant thank her enough for it.

When my partner and I started searching for a mortgage we were met with negativity from most of the professionals that we spoke to, but that all changed after our first meeting with Toni Cox at Connells.
Despite the fact that I'd only had a job for a couple of weeks (and we had a very young baby!) Toni took everything into consideration, gave us her honest opinion and made us feel totally reassured throughout the mortgage process. This review is based on 2 main elements: the estate agency and the mortgage broker.
If it wasn't for our fantastic mortgage broker Chris Blackwell, this review would be 1 or 0 stars. Chris really went above and beyond, helping us understand the process as first time buyers. He made things easy to understand, kept up to date with communication and even checked in on us during the purchase of own home when it wasn't his job to do so. I cant thank him enough for the efforts made on our purchase and would recommend him to anyone looking for mortgage/house purchase advice.
The estate agents on the other hand were utterly useless. Abi showed us round the home we purchased a 3 times, the first time being 20 minutes late, the 2nd time turning up with the wrong keys for the house and 'invited us to look through the window instead' despite having traveled 45 minutes to get there and having made arrangements at work to finish early, and the 3rd time she was just highly unprofessional. She chatted as if I had known her for years, and not in a comfortable way. She knew nothing about the property, the shared ownership process (which I was new to) and on each instance of meeting her I knew more about what was going on than she did.
In addition to that, the branch manager Natalie was the rudest person I have ever met. She had no customer service, spoke very patronizingly to both me and my partner, and when I had made contact with the site developer to gain an understanding on certain issues with the house that I had previously asked the agent, she outright chastised me in the middle of the office in front of other customers during our mortgage meeting. I have never been so offended.
In general: do not buy a house through this agent, but I implore you to use Chris the mortgage broker. He was phenomenal.

Would strongly recommend to avoid at ALL costs. Poorly composed advert, floorplan didn’t match description at all PAID for professional photos and never received them. Went in to their Old Town branch and they actually were appalled at the service received and quality of the photos. So their own company agreed their other branch had done a bad job. Will be forced to go to the property ombudsman as their area manager refused a refund as it seems the branch staff have lied about events. Literally disgusted. For reference went with Taylor’s and had a first viewing within 2 days of advert going live.
Will post a link to the advert they produced when I get chance (as I copied it) to back up this review and show how terrible they are. Then you can compare for yourselves how terrible they are. Avoid avoid avoid. Connells were incompetent, dishonest, useless, slow to communicate and completely ineffective in the most basic of ways.

Outstanding service from Anna and Alex in the lettings team! Anna went above and beyond to help me secure a property - against the odds. The only letting agents that are willing to help support potential tenants who come from crisis and have limited options to secure PL. Anna took the time to listen to my requirements and deliver, and re-assured me during a difficult process to securing a property with compassion and empathy for my circumstances. Would definitely approach Connell's again when looking to private let. Highly Recommend!!!!!!!

What a mess. Booked house valuation and remortgage advice on my day off. They were calling me on actual day with different times and got to that stage when I canceled it. Will try with other firm, maybe more competent. Definitely don't want to deal with this branch.

Appalling unprofessional service ! Will try and con you into using their mortgage advisor and penilise you if you don’t ! Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy !!

Valued my property low. I went with another firm at a higher price and it sold immediately. Since then, despite telling them several times that I don't want to be contacted by them again, they continually call me to the point where I've had to block their number.

Worse estate agents what I see in my 20 years experience with estates agents. They don't know what they doing and don't know what they saying. Keep away from them if YOU don't want to lose your money
