Buying/selling a property can prove quite stressful, as we experienced when we moved last year.
However, our dealings through Miles & Barr Deal branch were a whole lot more pleasurable. As we now live in Norfolk, it was not possible to travel to Kent on a regular basis, and we therefore needed to rely upon Shelley and her colleagues to conduct several viewings etc. We were kept up to date at each stage, and once an agreeable offer had been made, everything went smoothly with the transaction, thanks once again, to the continued support from the Miles & Barr Deal team. To sum up, if all buying/selling experiences were as well managed, moving would be a breeze!

They want 1% of my house when it sells but don't do nothing for it and when you go in the office to ask them to do their job. They tell you that they are sorry and that they will rectify the issues straight away but nearly a year down the line and still nothing is done. I will not recommend those waste of space to anyone.

I received great service from the Miles and Barr Branch in Deal. As first time buyers, we felt they explained everything very clearly and guided us through the process. They were very accommodating with viewings as my partner and I could only view properties at 5:30pm or at the weekend - they worked hard to ensure we saw the properties we were interested in. However, what really set them apart from their local competition was their personalised emails. They really listened to what we wanted in a property and when something ideal became available, we would receive a directed email inviting us to view the property. They went above and beyond with this and did much more than the generic circulation of a property within budget. Dan Curry and Ruth Russell in particular were amazing. Miles & Barr valued our property at exactly what we thought it was worth (this was £75,000 higher than the lowest valuation we had received from other agents in Deal). We had numerous viewings and interest before it even went on to Rightmove, and an offer at the full asking price in the first week, which we accepted once their property had sold. We chose M&B to sell our house, despite the slightly higher 2% fee as they were marketing the only property in Deal that ticked all of our boxes (what we were after was quite specific). In the end, unbelievably, Matt found us an even better property and managed to secure it for us! Despite being at the top of a 5 party chain, all went to plan and we moved in 3 months later in the Summer of 2018. We found all of the staff at Miles & Barr, Deal, including their financial advisor, to be friendly, helpful, professional and super efficient. Nothing was a problem for them. They conducted all the viewings on our house, which, as busy people we really appreciated. This time last year, finding and moving to our dream house seemed like a very a long shot but I am over the moon to be writing this review sitting in our new sunny conservatory with our 2 contented cats. Thank you Matt and everyone at Miles & Barr, Deal for exceeding our expectations!
