Caroline was the selling agent when we bought our property is Chiswick and when it was time to sell we didn’t go anywhere else as we knew Caroline would do the best job and get us the best price. Sold through Portico Shepherd's Bush based on personal recommendation and couldn't recommend more highly. Challenging time to sell (thanks, Liz Truss) but Caroline and the team impressed from start to finish.
She clearly understood the property, neighbourhood and potential purchasers well, and her recommendations were spot on. The team were successful in bringing a good number of serious people through to view, co-ordinating with us at what was a difficult time. They helped us reach a mutually acceptable sale price within a good time, considering the prevailing winds.
Caroline is down-to-earth and communicates clearly. Her advice was accurate and helpful.
The sale process itself became somewhat protracted at a high-risk time with interest rates rising and mortgages being withdrawn. Caroline was supportive and extremely effective at liaising with both solicitors, estate agents up the chain and my buyer.

We struggled to sell our place due to covid and empty promises/ performance of other agents (M and P, Acton). From the first meeting to completion, the service has been nothing short of impeccable. In our first meeting, Caroline was very honest where the market was, what price to pitch property and her knowledge of the area gave us confidence in them. Paul was fantastic when showing potential buyers around. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and could see he really bought into our property as if it was his own. Last but not least Patricia. Without her tenacity, her ability to engage with solicitors HA, us and the buyer, we wouldn’t have got completion. She definitely knows and proven to get the job done. There are state agencies and professionals everywhere in the world. Sometimes you have good luck and sometimes they let you completely by yourself. However at Northfields they have treated us with the passion that requires the savage world of housing in London.
I have to particularly mention Matthew, that is probably one of the hardest workers we have found in our lives. Despite that our complex case, he worked and fighted for us what I have ever seen. We owe him so much for doing extra and beyond.

I can't recommend these estate agents enough. We were selling a shared ownership property in Edison Court, Warple Way in the Factory Quarter development and had excellent service from Caroline Watkins the sales manager. The flat went on the market quickly after she took it on and within a week she had secured 14 viewings resulting in an over asking offer.
Caroline dealt with us personally throughout and was available by phone even on evenings and weekends. She liaised with our solicitor regularly so everyone was updated and was excellent at problem solving and finding out further information about aspects of our property or sale when this was required. I know she also spoke regularly with our buyer ensuring that they were kept informed of all aspects of the sale.

I had such a great experience with Northfields. I walked in the Northfield Avenue location on a whim having just viewed another property to rent with another agent in the area. I was greeted by Freya, who was just so warm and helpful. She listened to what I was looking for and she immediately suggested a property she thought would be perfect for me. She connected me with Ella, who was about to leave the property and they both went above and beyond to get me in to see the place straight away.
The property was perfect and Molly was on hand throughout the process to make sure my husband and I got through references and documents super smoothly.

Have never had such a bad experience with flat renting before!
In the beginning, I was really astonished how helpful people in this agency are. I received a call that a new flat just came to the market, and I was the first one to view it. I really liked that property and made an offer straight away. The landlord has approved my offer the same day and this is when process began. I filled in all the documents and done all checks, but 1.5 weeks before my moving date I am receiving a call from agency with the news that the landlord has voided this agreement and I no longer can move in to his flat.
Can you imagine how shocked I was. I know it's not the agency fault, BUT they have offered me an alternative flat and said that they would speak with landlord to see if I can move in and that they would take care of me. Few days later I received a call back from them and they informed me there were another 6 offers made for the same flat and the landlord has gone ahead with another tenant. I don't understand why they showed this flat to other people if they knew what an emergency I had!
The agency knew I am about to move out from my current place and I have no where to live and still did not prioritize my situation and did not show any sign of compassion or willingness to help and literally left me on the street. The last thing they told me: "we will let you know if something else comes up soon".
As a result, I don't have a place to live, I am super stressed and anxious and have a feeling the agency does not look after it's clients. All they care are about money/commissions apparently.

I called Northfields Estate Agents to view a property and Rachel said she'd show me that place plus another property that she'd know I'd love. She listened to all my requirements and on the first day of looking we found a property! This was far the best property for the price point we could find in Ealing. I was very impressed how easy the property search was. Rachel was very accommodating because I came from Glasgow and I could only had a limited amount of time. I had a very good experience and excellent professional service from Rachel Ryba when I enlisted the help of Northfield Estate Agents Shepherd's Bush to find a flat.
Rachel listened to my research and requests. She was responsive to my requests and my desires. But above all, Rachel always took the time to answer my questions, my messages and whatever by phone or email. Rachel helped and advised me directly, but she also tried to facilitate my procedures, sometimes by directing me to the right person. Rachel still continues to help me with her advice although I have found my apartment and signed my Agreement Tenancy.
I recommend that you call Rachel if you are looking for someone who is attentive, responsive and really kind. I put a friend of me in touch with Rachel and she made her the same impression ( and she found her an apartment too, as fast as for me).

Northfields Estate agents Shepherd's Bush are absolutely awesome. They totally understand the property market and really did have buyers ready and waiting. They priced the property realistically and wasted no time getting clients through the door. Caroline found me a cash buyer and an asking price offer within days and the sale completed in under 3 months after languishing on the market for about 6 months with the previous well known high street agents who were disastrously useless. I found Northfields to be efficient, responsive and happy to bend over backwards to resolve the inevitable problems, repeatedly oiling the wheels of the sale when things got stuck and going well beyond the call of duty. I honestly couldn't recommend them more highly. My solicitor said it was the fastest sale she'd ever done the conveyancing for. It was so nice to have good old fashioned service and to be treated always as a valued customer. Brilliant.

If you plan to sell your property in Shepherd’s Bush I strongly advise you not to choose them. Firstly they overpriced my flat claiming it will sell for that price or even more. Secondly nobody from the sale team is based in their Askew Road office so my property was handled by the Ealing branch. There was literally zero communication from them unless I called them to ask for feedback etc. I waisted three precious months when I could take advantage of the stamp duty exemption. Will never list my property with them again. They are literally the opposite to what they claim on their website.

I chose Northfields as I was confident with its rating on Google. My review below is related specifically to Northfields Shepherd's Bush, and not the main offices, as I never dealt with them.
With regards to Northfields Shepherd's Bush, I was a tenant for a year, and my entire year of letting with them was an absolute nightmare.
It started with an agent named Ernest, who never conveyed my requests to the Landlord (for various items), and I had to spend the first two months of my tenancy negotiating directly with the landlord on this issue. Ernest did not provide sufficient information on the property and told me I even had access to the gardens when I did not. He neglected to say that my flat's window was side bybside with the next flat's window and there was so much noise that completely ruined my stay. There was even no mention that the walls and celling were so thin that I could hear the neighbour's phone buzz!
When I asked him to convey a couple of issues to the landlord for me, he refused and was adamant that I spoke to the landlord myself. He did not even provide the contact number or email of the landlord and I had to do all the research myself. The most ironic part was that he even asked me to leave a splendid review for him on Google!! Which comes back to the fact that I am sure that many people's review of Northfields is based on the agent asking them to leave a good review for them, instead of allowing them to place an honest review themselves.
A year steadily went by and my next issue was with the Manager of Northfields Shepherd's Bush, Charmaine Grant. I dealt with her briefly at the start of my tenancy and she was very difficult to say the least. She was rude and constantly dismissive when I would call the office. There was absolutely zero customer care, other than making sure that she 'sealed the deal' for the next tenant.
Towards the end of my tenancy, she tried to insist on me paying more for circumstances which I did not cause (this is true, trust me as she finally admitted fault after months of negotiations). Even their accounts manager tried to sell me short of my deposit, until I did the proper calculations myself and she admitted that she 'made a mistake'.
Overall, for anyone (landlord/tenant) wanting to deal with Northfields, don't bother. Even my landlord (who was absolutely amazing by the way), stated that she wished Northfields dealt with the negotiations better and was more 'on it'.
In case it wasn't clear, I personally will never be using Northfields again purely on my experience with the Shepherd's Bush office. I sincerely hope they can clean up their act for future tenants.

Worst real estate Agent in London especially Shepherd’s Bush branch! I had a viewing at 18.10.2019 evening on Mayfield. Real estate agent came to the flat 20mins late! I liked the flat and wanted to give an offer. I called the agency on Saturday but Georgia wasn’t in the office. I called them on monday morning, they asked my Mortgage Broker’s details, I sent them. Then they asked copy of my ID to submit my offer and I sent my driving licence’s photocopy. I’m serious buyer that’s why looking at flats everyday on Zoopla and yesterday I saw below the banner. Flat has been sold! I was waiting to get a news from agency although Northfields has disappeared! These people have time to update the status of flat on Zoopla although has no time to deliver seller’s decision to me! What kind of work ethic Northfields has? As long as they sell the flat, they don’t care the rest. On the other hand they still have copy of driving license and from GDPR perspective this is a serious issue! I gave 2 different offers with big chains although none of them asked me to provide copy of my ID as proof of offer submission! Who can guarantee that Northfields will not use my personal details, copy of my ID for any illegal activity?! Tomorrow I’ll go to police and inform them about the situation. Please be careful because what they are doing is super dangerous and they aren’t reliable cause they have zero business ethic policy! You can’t trust them! Please stay away from them and don’t be their next victim! Sellers please use other agencies to sell your property!

AFTER LEAVING THE CASH DESK NO MISTAKES ARE BEING RECOGNISED
Having lived in England for almost 10 years and dealt with several agents I can firmly affirm that the level of unprofessionalism and ruthlessness of these people is shocking.
One afternoon we met Ernest in the role of the kind agent to show us a flat to rent where downstairs was living the landlady about whose character he repeatedly vouched. As well he confirmed the online ad, that the monthly rent was with all bills included.
After 1-2 days we decided with my girlfriend to apply. Before signing the contract during communications I was asked by Ernest 4 different times to leave him good feedback in Google Maps because “he may win a trip to Lisbon from his company” (that’s why his name is mentioned in some other reviews.) I think I should have understood at that time that something was wrong.
When they sent us the contract and I asked about the security deposit they said it will not be protected but be kept by the landlady although we had already sent it to them. They never explained us these unique circumstances. The Google maps feedback seemed definitely much more important.
And the 4th day of the tenancy the problems started and haven’t stopped since. The landlady who is holding the security deposit started approaching us in a daily basis claiming that Northfields fooled her, they are a scam and that we have to be paying her the bills for our flat and the council tax. She said we owed her £200 pcm more.
After a few days I called Northfields to report it. They assured me they would call her in order to arrange it. Due to the fact that they lied and never called she kept harassing us.
So we formally escalated it. After sending an email to everybody in the “team” we went to the office. At first Ernest came to us and at least had the courtesy to admit that they won’t bother doing anything because he said they don’t manage the property, a fact that hadn’t been explained to us earlier. What I know is that when I go to an agency to find me a house and pay them that many fees they also manage the property, they aren't supposed to send me to a random person to deal with all the very important issues of a tenancy by myself, it was very hard to grasp.
But even before finishing his words Charmaine Grant had approached us full of empathetic facial expressions. And she relieved us by claiming that she had already started discussing the issue with their solicitors and they would soon send to the landlady a formal letter and, of course, let us know. That looked fine so we left satisfied.
After two weeks of no contact I was convinced that again they did 0. So I took the initiative to contact Charmaine Grant who confirmed it, they wouldn’t bother moving even their finger because it’s not their responsibility.
It was unbelievable, this lady looked us in the eye and lied so profoundly! And she didn’t even let us know that she would take her word back. Imagine that she is supposed to be a professional who was paid and guaranteed to help us find a flat to live with quiet enjoyment. We worked hard for years in London to find a place with better conditions and we ended up being professionally exploited. She could have at least been straight from the beginning and admit what their behaviour was proving, that there wasn’t anything more to gain from us so it makes no difference if we live or die.
After feeling so much disgusted I never contacted them again and I had to go to other services such as the CAB, shelter, council and to a lawyer. That's what I have been doing for months. We have faced so many issues like twice violently trespassing while we were there and many others that can't be disclosed while waiting for the contract to finish.
All because of this bad afternoon that we made the tragic mistake to view a house from this agency... Who I am sure won't still accept any responsibility but neither will have any qualms after offering similar conditions again.

It's now 8 months we rented our property from Northfields Shepherd's Bush Office and since then, they are not able find out garage keys that I rented with my flat. Instead I am paying for a car park.
Reply to your reply: You might be a third party but we pay our rent to you, we report everything to you, we signed our tenant agreement with you, we paid all admin fees to you. You don't have to write a long answer because my question is simple. Do we have garage keys or not? (The garage that I paid for)
The last edit: YES! They gave our remote controllers at our 10th month in the property.

I just booked one visit and the agent was 40 mim late, but when he arrived, he was very sympathetic and helped me a lot to find a property the way I was looking. I would try them again if I still have to find another place. Unfortunately we did not end up using Northfields estate agency, whilst Ernest Dugbarteyhas been amazing at following up AFTER the viewing to find out if we were interested. It’s a shame our first impressions were not so good. He arrived at the viewing ill prepared so much so that we didn’t even see one apartment as he didn’t know how to get access ! Whilst we were in a hurry he ambled along and seemed disinterested in the second viewing! Whilst it’s appreciated that he is not responsible for the owner and house there was a distinct lack of enthusiasm overall, until after the viewing. Maybe he prefers to be office based !!!

Caroline Watkins at Northfields was the agent for the owners of the property that we bought, but felt very much like our own agent from day 1. She was always available whenever we had questions and was always in contact to give updates which ensured that when issues inevitably arose they were resolved quickly and didn’t cause delays to our purchase. Caroline went out of her way to advise us on tips about the area such as getting a parking permit and the options to extend the property that other people on the road had done which we really appreciated. We will definitely come back to Northfields if we decide to move on in future due to the great service that we had from Caroline and we would feel very confident that was managing our buyers well given the service she gave to us.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by Northfields and the estate agent that helped me, Yesim Nurko was maybe the most friendly, non-pushy, professional and knowledgeable agents I've dealt with. I would really recommend Yesim as she listens to your needs and puts you first :)

Hi.
I got to know one gentleman over the phone. His name is Ernest and he was a very friendly and open person. Was happy to assist me in some situations as professional agent. Once everything was sorted throughout he still was generous enough to push through extra mile to help out if i needed anything else.
Overall great guy.
On the other side, one major complaint is that the landlord and agency are very sweet to you at front.
All the contracts have been signed and deposits paid upfront. Agency and landlord included said that the flat was professionally cleaned. We had a business trip abroad for one week. After one week, when we moved into a flat it was catastrophic. When i called to landlady and told her the there was absolute mess. Landlord gave me a big negative email saying that it was not their fault, we signed all contracts and we did not check the flat ourself before we moved in (1 week conference abroad).
We have taken pictures immediately of a dirty flat.
Overall landlord didnt do anything after the phone call i made and instead of sympathy all we got was thats its all our fault. Bad relation with landlord. I would not recommend it.
Reason why im still giving 5 stars is because of Ernest and few other VERY kind agents.
Otherwise ITS A BIG FAT 1 start.

Northfields and the landlord accepted our offer and took our holding deposit, they then cancelled it a week before the start of tendency asking for £115 more per month and demanding a 24 month no break clause tenancy. This put us into a position of being homeless or be locked into terms we cant afford. Be very aware of this negotiating technique, the seem very nice up front but are not good to deal with..

Ernest Dugbartey was my contact person throughout my search for a property in London. As a Sales professional myself, I have to say that Ernest did an excellent job as a Lettings Consultant.
From my initial inquiry on RightMove, Ernest was absolutely diligent in getting in touch with me, providing me with options and flexible in arranging remote viewings for me - as I wasn't based in London.
He constantly and persistently followed up with me and called, even when I wasn't responsive due to my busy schedule.
Even though I ended up choosing a different property, this has absolutely nothing to do with Ernest's performance, rather my personal preference.

Definitely recommend! I could not possibly rate the service I received in Northfields Estates any higher. The staff were always ready to help and happy to give advice on areas, council tax costs, amenities and everything you need to know when considering making somewhere your home. Our agent, Ernest, was even happy to drive us between properties so we could fit in multiple viewings when we didn't have a car. The website is expertly set up with an online chat option and clear breakdown of key information, but what really sets Northfields apart is that they truly know the areas they are selling and honestly care about their customers' needs. The properties I viewed were impeccably clean and very well furnished. Northfields is the first estate agent I have worked with who treated me like a person and not just a bankcheck. If you want to rent (as I did) or buy in the area I wouldn't consider anyone else, Northfields are definitely your best bet; their customer service is excellent.

Worst estate agent I have ever used the misguided us an to make matters worst they stole our £500 and gave us a disgraceful responds, on top off that they tried to threaten us, stating that we would never be able to rent from any estate agents again....please if you ever rent from them avoid disappointment an look at the reviews first....we will be taking this further!

Worst Real Estate Agency ever dealt with. They misguide you when negotiating to rent any of their properties, once done instead of managing it they will ignore all your requests. I left the flat one month ago and still haven´t heard a word from them regarding the return of the deposit. When I refer to the lease agreement, their answer was that "nothing is set in stone". Stay away from them!!!

We completed to buy a flat as a long-term investment in West Kensington on the 26th of August, which is our first buy-to-let flat. Northfields Shepherds Bush Branch was appointed as our letting agency. The letting manager Joseph visited our flat on the 29th of August. He gave us valuable advices regarding furnishing. He also suggested the asking rental price which reflected his in-depth knowledge of the local letting market. In the next few days, Joseph scheduled to get a few professionals through the door to view out flat, and the first two viewings all led to a serious offer with the second one at the asking price. Joseph always kept us informed and gave us his professional opinion. His colleague Samir was always cheerful and helpful during viewing. On the 6th of September, the tenants moved into our flat. To be honest, this result far more exceeded our expectation. This just demonstrated Joseph and his team’s ability for pitching the right price, targeting the right potential tenants, getting them through the door, and closing the deal.

We've been looking for a property for about four months and it had, up until this point, been a bit of a fraught experience with not very personal people. Northfields - and particularly Raphael Charles at the Shepherd's Bush branch - made it all very easy. We saw the property for the second time on Monday, made an offer later that day and Raph had it secured by Tuesday - it was a fantastically quick and painless experience. Raph was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and the property and above all very honest - he didn't seem obsessed with getting a sale, more interested in making sure it was the right deal for everyone involved. Would heartily recommend.
