They take your money and run. Listed wrong door number had to ask twice to amend it. Photos were poor I took a better one of the front of the house and asked them to use it, I was told to upload it myself and they would approve it and add it to advert, three weeks later still waiting. They don’t answer phones or return calls. No viewings to date. Have decided to cut my losses and use a different Estate Agent.... Read more

I used purple bricks about 10years ago and they were amazing from start to finish.
So naturally when it came to sell my late father in-laws house in the Sleaford area they were our first choice.
Valuation
We were given the valuation which was on the high side but was told it was definitely achievable and would sell quickly as it is a 4 bedroom detached property that has been looked after and ready to move in without needing to do anything.
Also garage, drive way, front and back garden. Good schools and local amenities and good for commuters. Also no onward chain.
The package
The options for us to choose from were
Pay on completion (which we wanted to do) or pay up front
We were then told that as we had nominated and wanted to use our own conveyancing company that we would have to pay up front as we didnt want to use there conveyancing company.
Once we had signed the paperwork we might of aswell just advertised it ourselves or not advertisd it at all. No communication, no insights, no advice and no extra marketing campaign!
Then the shock when we had an email to say our marketing period was up which was 6months ( we were never made aware of this and thought it would stay listed untill it was sold) and we had to pay more money to keep it listed or we reduce the price by quite a big percentage to waiver the fee to keep the listed for sn additional period
If we were made aware of the timescale of the marketing period and that after we paid upfront we were forgotten about and we would of had to pay more after the 6months we wouldn't of signed up with Purplebricks
We felt mislead from the start to finish and once they had there money that was it job done for the them.
Basically they push people to pay upfront so they are guaranteed there commission, list your property on a website and forget about you untill they want more money. Big con
The sales agent would have her commission and the office there's so no reason or drive for any of them to do anymore work
Would never reccomend Purplebricks to anyone ever again.
Now we have to pay a proper estate agents to do the job they should of done. Not happy and cost us money we didn't have.... Read more

We have found Purple Bricks to be completely professional and extremely helpful in dealing with our property sale. Their complete package of introducing conveyancers suited our circumstances and being able to deal with everything online or by telephone has proved invaluable.
Their fixed fee tariff is extremely competitive and I personally do not feel that the lack of a shop window on the high street is detrimental to their business model.... Read more
