We would like to leave a personal review for Janet Bolton who has provided an exceptional service for us for over 10 years now and before that for our father when Janet was at Reeds Rains Shevington.
She is always helpful and friendly and efficient and was always our go to person whenever we had any issues with our properties or tenants, most of whom she knew.
In this day and age of remote communication the personal service now means even more. She is highly commended and certainly recommended to anyone who is looking for immediate action, fine service and that personal touch

I rented a property via Reeds Rains (Wigan) in April 2024 and have had nothing but trouble since.
During the viewing and application stage, the staff at St Helen's were great.
Once the agreement had been signed and the property handed back to the Wigan branch, the stress began.
The property was filthy dirty inside, despite the promise of a cleaner attending prior to handover and the agreement stating the property must be clean.
Various problems arose that should have been dealt with prior to handover and reporting these was incredibly difficult.
Using the Fix Flo system didn't seem to get a response and so I began emailing the property manager, Jessica Driscoll directly.
At first, Jessica was responding and looked like they were doing something, however, that wasn't the case.
I sent email after email without reply, the last one being an eleven (11) day wait, after which I emailed again to say I'd be commencing legal action for breach of contract, suddenly, things started to happen.
I've been assured everything will be dealt with but have no faith in Reeds Rains and wouldn't recommend, especially if the property is managed by the Wigan branch.

Would have been a 5, however after putting my offer to the buyer and him excepting the offer reeds rains continued to book people in to view the property resulting in the price being raised and costing me more. The dhole this seemed a bit dodgy considering it had been on the market over 6 months empty gave no previous interest. Then all of a sudden when my offer went in the had sudden interest in the property.

I had properties viewing with Alan from Reeds Rains Pemberton, this was different from other viewings I had so far with other agencies where the viewer representative make you feel like a burden or time waster.
Alan walked me around the properties, advice me on the refurbishment and gave me extra time to take pictures.
I am a stranger to Wigan, Alan took time to explaining to me which area to invest on, the type of property to go for....

I bought a house from this branch. Before, I knew ReedsRain just as a posh estate agent. Nothing more. The ReedsRain Pemberton branch changed my mind.
Start from the first viewing with Alan, then liaison with Nicky and the manager Emma to the completion, the experience was exceptional, respectable and admirable.
As an immigrant to the UK for 20 years, something I have never seen in the Western world DID happen with THAT branch. It was EXTREMELY admirable.

Reeds Rains Pemberton Wigan are the first Letting Agents I am writing a review for ..ever. Coming here and reading all the positive reviews, I could not agree more. Their office staff are amazing, professional and respectful irrespective of who I speak to on the phone. The best way I can think of putting this is that they are all stars in this Wigan office but from my point of view, Alan and Helen were shining so bright. Alan showed me the property but also gave me tips on where and what to do in the area. Helen was simply amazing by supporting and giving very quick updates. Moving homes can be stressful but these guys are certainly skilled at making it a stress-free process.
The details like the printed document of the property with images and details. How they communicate, how they understand both landlord and client needs, etc.
I could write an essay on all the things they did right but can only recommend that you try for yourself.

Liaison with centralised property management and maintenance teams was problematic and disjointed but Emma was able to make all the connections. Without Emma's input I doubt the sale would have proceeded to a conclusion.

So relaxed all the time, no phone call was a problem for her! If she couldn't answer straight away she always called us back, always reassuring us that everything will be ok. We didn't know much about what we have to do but she always walked us through every step of getting our own place! She made us feel secure and hopeful, like everyone we had bumps along the way being in a chain, but eventually everything got sorted thanks to amazing Sandi and everyone else at Reeds Rains and also our great solicitors which she also recommended! Our next visit to number 6 and therefore our first and only appointment with RR turned on the weather. RR was able to pencil us in on three days and able to revise the time on the day itself.
Letting manager Andrew Williams could not have been more professional, informative and helpful. His visit Wednesday, property photographed Thursday, online Friday. Ten expressions of interest by the Saturday morning. Viewing on the Monday produced two applicants.
The preferred applicant moved in today (Friday). Nine days after the appointment. Our property is desirable and in good decorative order. Offered at a fair rental agreed with RR. We had all the necessary certificates and documents to hand We were able to make things straightforward for RR and they proceeded impeccably and with all speed.
Agent Rachel so attentive and helpful on the telephone.

We bought number 6 as a prospective retirement property and welcome the fact that our new tenant is helping us fund it. We are delighted to have chosen RR as our current agent.

Had a viewing that was accompanied by Alan. He was welcoming, funny, easy to talk to. We took our 2 small children and they were a little bored and began to mess a little, Alan took them on and made it fun for them too. Last week I had a viewing with Alan for a property in Orrell - I'm not from the area so brought my mum as moral support. Alan answered all our questions, was friendly and enthusiastic - a great laugh quite frankly! He told me to speak with Jemma as well as she may have other properties for me to view. Jemma then squeezed us in for another viewing and again was very friendly - completely understood my woes with not knowing the area and was superb! I truthfully cannot thank both Alan and Jemma enough! Never did i think i'd find somewhere in the space of a day but I did and it was all thanks to these amazing people! Yesterday I had some viewing with Alan Adams from Reeds Rains in Pemberton. He was very nice and friendly. He was able to answer most of my questions about the properties he showed me, something that I was grateful for as in many occasion with other agencies the person showing around does not have a clue about the property they are showing. He was also resourceful and took action in the moment when I asked him something he did not know the answer for. 5 mins after I had the answer to my question. He made muy viewing more enjoyable. I have been renting with reeds rains for over 9 years and was very happy living in my property that became my home when out of the blue my landlord decided to sell with out any warning. I was so upset shocked and over whelmed. I Rang the office 9am the next day of receiving the letter and they saw me a couple of hours later. Helping me look for another property and giving me guidance and support. Without a lovely lady called Jemma I would never of gotten thru my difficult time. There was also a gent called Paul who was very helpful. A big thankyou to you all. U went the extra mile.

I have been renting out two properties I own for nearly three years through Reads Rains at Pemberton.
The service they have given me has been excellent. nothing is too much trouble.
Recently a good friend of mine who is a financial consultant said I am doing the right thing by paying the letting agent to manage my properties as it takes the worry out of it and the cost is well worth it, he is so right.
There have been a few problems as one might expect when renting to strangers but the staff at Pemberton have been brilliant.
Very recently I have had to get one of my properties recarpeted urgently, Joshua Simms at Pemberton Had a fitter in that day and the carpets fitted just days after at a very reasonable price, the staff are great at finding the right contractor for the right job at the right price.
One might hear horror stories about some letting agents but not at this firm.
I am very happy with the staff and service at the Pemberton branch and would recomend them, and have done, to everyone.
