As a portfolio landlord currently selling most of my properties, I am dealing with several Estate Agents and Ryder & Dutton Heywood branch have been the best so far. Catherine is very pro-active and her communication skills are exemplary. I was updated constantly with feedback from viewings and progress once the sale had been agreed. Catherine's team (Julie, Megan, Jenna, Naomi, Lucy and Shannon) all played their parts by providing viewing confirmations and helping me with other tasks that I placed on them as someone who lives a long way from the property being sold. They provided access to engineers, liaised with a neighbour who held keys at one point and dealt with any mail that had arrived for myself or my former tenant. Catherine also negotiated the best price for my property when 2 potential buyers had both offered on it. The successful sale was then seen to completion with constant updates and chasing of both sets of solicitors. Overall I was pleased with the service I received from Rachel and Catherine. . I was selling a house without any chain or mortgage to consider. A cash buyer was found very quickly but then the sales process took far longer than I thought it should have done. In part this was because I didn't have all the correct documentation but I felt this should have been noted at the beginning and steps could have been put in place to get the documentation from the start. There should be some sort of checklist to ensure all is in order. Ryder and Dutton have higher fees than other estate agents as they say they will liaise with solicitors and keep you informed of progress. My main complaint with the service was that I didn't find this was the case and only by enquiringly was I informed of what was happening. I found the lack of information quite frustrating.... Becky Taylor and Nikki Cockcroft assisted us with our mortgage application and provided an outstanding service. Nikki's financial advice was very helpful and her expertise in recommending which mortgagee to go with was invaluable (we needed someone who would turn around the application quickly and Nikki knew the timescales involved with different lenders). Had a viewing with them in Oldham, we live in stockport drove all the way over there cancelled a dentist appointment for it got there no one was there waited around a bit still no one showed up, phoned up sat on the phone outside the house for 15 mins waiting for an answer finally got through and they said they don't know what's happened someone has cancelled it, I said well I didn't and no one told me, they just said they don't know what happened, waste of time...
