From our very first meeting, we had a strong feeling that Sandersons was the right fit for us. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and clear understanding of the local market made them stand out. While we loved our house, we knew it was a niche property and wouldn’t be easy to sell. It required strategic marketing and a highly organized team to attract the right buyers. Amazingly, the house sold in just 9 days after going on the market – far exceeding our expectations!

When I first met Chris from Sandersons, I straight away got a feel for his proffesionalism by the way he talked me through the next steps and how they would market my property.

I have rented one bedroom property which was an old property needed a lot to update. It is normal considering that I've reviewed the property before I rented!
On few occasions they have let me down especially with plumbing issues which I've nearly electrocuted myself due to bathroom above kitchen when overflow pipe came off while I was having a bath and leaking on directly to kitchen lamp. I've immediately reported the issue as urgent but it took 3 months 20 days to send a plumber and 4 months or so an electrician. (I've video and pictures plus emails?
They charged me for cleaning the gutters which is 6 metres high despite they knew it cannot get full within a year with weeds on it !
Never mind rats living under door step because of manhole right next to it.
I don't even need mentoring few others issues which was overlooked and dismissed by them.
Stir well away from Sanderson estate agents

What’s more the TDS deposit scheme doesn’t hold your deposit, the agents do, and they only want to keep their paymasters, the landlords, happy!!!

I bought a house that Sandersons Canterbury was selling. The estate agent was efficient and cordial and a price was quickly agreed between parties. What really made the difference for me was that Sandersons had a person who was subsequently working as an intermediary between all the parties in the chain (of three). As I felt often in the dark as to where they others were in the conveyancing process and when things would be moving forward, that person (her name was Linda) was able to take all my queries very promptly and come back to me with answers. This service was invaluable to me as the weeks stretched into months before exchange could be agreed. So, thank you, Linda, for your incredible support throughout the conveyancing process! You made a real difference to my experience of buying a property.

Sandersons were amazing with our property sale from the get-go. We were really impressed with our house pictures and video tour, then all of the team throughout viewings and offers were great too. As we were selling a property with a couple of issues and then interest rates suddenly soared, our sale fell through a couple of times on the way (not Sandersons fault at all), but the team were so encouraging when this happened too.
MASSIVE thanks to Linda who was absolutely hellbent on getting the sale across the finish line for us, chasing our solicitors, our buyers solicitors, and even the estate agent and sellers solicitors for our onward purchase, plus anybody else she could get hold of. I genuinely don’t think we’d be in our new house if it wasn’t for Linda’s hard work. We are so, so grateful for her proactiveness and support - she’s a real asset to the Sandersons team.
I can safely say I don’t want to move ever again - but if I had to, I’d absolutely come back to Sandersons & would recommend them to anyone looking to sell their house too.

I have experienced Sanderson's efficiency in several areas - finding a flat to buy (associate Antonia Costa), house management, but I would particularly like to mention the purchase support and associate Charlotte Brown.
It seems that property lawyers in general are not very nimble. In addition and I had a challenging situation laden with occasional difficulties. Charlotte was very efficient and precise, polite but persistent in pursuing my interests. She went into every detail of my situation and was able to reassure at acute moments.
If it wasn't for Charlotte Brown - I don't know if Christmas would have happened for me and my daughter. And now, I believe it will. I am very grateful to both Sanderson and all his staff and wish them a very Merry Christmas.

Antonia dealt with our sale brilliantly, staying in touch with us whilst we were abroad, navigating a time difference, to finalise the sale and our purchase. Vicky showed us around the house we bought several times, and she was so friendly and accommodating. When our sale progressed, Charlotte took over and just made the whole process so smooth. This is my first time buying a house, I was very skeptical about how the process was going to work regarding communication between me, Sanderson, mortgage advisors and solicitors….well let’s just say the skepital aspect was gone in an instance. Anytime of day I needed to ring or email Antonia Costa and Victoria newport were there. Any questions I had was answered. They went above and beyond and was pushing for the maximum effort and updates across the board as if it was them that was buying the property. I knew I was in good hands from the start. I was shown around a few properties with Victoria and Antonia and didn’t feel rushed atall and answered every question I had. They have not just been professional they have been a great support during what some would say is the most steressful process you will come across. Once my house is complete I will feel an element of relief but almost sadness that my communication with them will go. But if anyone ever asks me about houses and where to go I will put them straight in touch with Antonia and Victoria. When the end of tenancy came to an end we were pinned blame for damage that we were assured was not our issue and had to pay the cost of a brand new appliance, even though the kitchen was being renovated so would’ve been replaced! And had to pay £100 for cleaning even though the house is being refurbished, it was in an awful state when we moved in and we cleaned it at the end of our tenancy to a better condition than it was when we arrived. Be careful students because they took our money even though people in the house were not comfortable or happy with the final charges being taken from our deposits.

Jade was very professional. I sent an email to the office through the Zoopla app for my interest in renting an apartment, and I got an international phone call the next day by Jade. Although I was abroad and couldn't do the viewing, she asked me to manage the viewing by my friend. During the viewing, my friend and Jade was on a video call with me, and Jade explained every thing. Besides, Jade was very cooperative, she used to take minutes, an hour, two hours or less than 24 hours to response to my mails, and in every time she explained again and again all the related matters, or asked her colleague to answer my inquiries. Jade was so friendly, and this is very important thing to me as an international tenant. I was lucky to be Jade's client. Appreciate her efforts, many thanks to her.

Moving with sandersons was ok, it was our second time renting through an estate agent. This time fully managed by the agent. Julie was very kind showing us round and managed to get us the property over other prospective viewers.
The system sandersons used as the referencing process was very difficult and at times frustrating. Also once in the process, there seemed to be little room for manoeuvrability on their side which having met the landlord to me seems more about Sandersons wanting to maximise their income rather then the landlord actually rejecting the requests we made. I still don’t agree with paying a premium extra rent for having dogs when you pay a substantial amount of deposit to cover these things as well not sure if this is a sandersons but never had to do this last time round!

We recently used Sandersons to find new tenants for two separate properties and had a great experience with both. The marketing photos they took and video tours were fantastic and generated a lot of interest. Sandersons undertook all viewings, giving clear feedback to us. We also used their checkout report and inventory report services so the condition of each property was clearly agreed with outgoing/incoming tenants in a comprehensive report with lots of photos. For the new tenancies they carried out referencing checks, right to rent checks, prepared and issued the tenancy agreements etc. I will be using them again soon on another property.

After a lot of shady and downright bad agency experiences, Sandersons was a very welcome surprise.
I rented a property through them for about 2 years and never had any issues.
If I emailed them, I'd get a response within 24 hours.
When I was late on rent once they gave me a very polite reminder a week after it was due without making a big deal out of it.
When the end of tenancy cleaners cancelled last minute, Sandersons was very understanding of the situation.

I dont usually write reviews, but i feel that people need to be warned about renting with sandersons. They were so helpful and lovely in the beginning to get us into the flat and once in, was a whole different story. The flat we rented had mould and was humid and freezing as it had single panelled old windows, an old heating system and gaps near the door. I reported the problems in December, heard nothing back until January, then they finally sent a guy to come and have a look, then had no information after the visit until I complained again, then heard back in march and all that was said was "the house is too cold and it's old" which of course we knew that from living there, so that was no help atall. I then spoke to them again and they said we were doing all we could to prevent it, however they did not do anything, so we had paid £80 on a Dehumidifier and all the little ones by the windows, plus spending our weekend scrubbing mould off the walls wasn't glamorous, but i picked that over risking my health. Of course we just wanted to get out of there, but once we left we thought it was all finally over, after they took money from our deposit, charged us the early end of tenancy fee and we'd handed back the keys. However I have now had money taken from my account to pay for the council tax of the flat which we officially left 3 months ago. Would not recommend!

Everything to do with dealing with the Lettings office has been excellent - really polite staff, in particular Chloe who let our property to us and was so friendly all the time. Unfortunately, as with so many Lettings agents it goes downhill as soon as you deal with property management.
Our house did look like a squat but with great potential so we took it on with the promise of a full clean to be carried out. It then wasn’t cleaned prior to our move-in date, and took Sandersons 5 days to get cleaners to come and sort the place out. Any email exchange I had with property management who’s job it was to sort this out was very blunt - Kay Proctor never seemed to want to answer any questions of offer a polite reply or even apology. This was chaotic for us as we had nowhere to go but to arrive at some relatives houses with no notice. There was no apology or offer of compensation to house us for the week that we were effectively homeless due to already vacating our previous home.
The house was then made mostly clean, but we spent days carrying out some extra cleaning to make it properly habitable. See the attached images as a sample before and after on one section of flooring - this stained floor was deemed clean enough by the cleaning team, but worth our time to get it done properly. The same elbow grease was needed in various parts of the house.
There’s a lot to say about the back and forth with the management team about works to be done on the house that have been promised but not carried out, but it’s still ongoing. We’ve just had the old stove removed from the garden - after three weeks of it being sat there with an initial proposal of ‘a few days’. There’s still rotten windows to be fixed and broken locks that were all supposed to be done before we moved in.
There’s lots of positive reviews, but looking closer reveals that these are mostly related to sales. They do a good job of looking after ‘customers’, but unfortunately this extends only to house buyers, sellers, and landlords. Tenants don’t seem to get the same treatment - I think the team may be very used to dealing with students who I’m sure might be nightmarish at times, but unfortunately the rude treatment seems to rub off onto all others under the ‘tenant’ category.

All I need to say is Sanderson is the Trading name for the company I Conn. I urgent any student to be vigilant as the kind exterior when you lease from them soon will change. If there is the smallest of issues such a a scratch or mark on the wall not mentioned in you inventory amend asap as they will use it to withhold your deposit when you move out. Do not sign anything until you have seen your property.
If they try to withhold your deposit TDS it is a much quicker process then they will tell you.

I have had an extremely negative experience with Sandersons, one that has caused me a lot of personal distress and upset.
They proposed deductions of £470.00 from our £600.00 deposit. I can't begin to describe the shock that I felt given that me and my housemates went above and beyond to look after the house. We spent a lot of time in it due to the pandemic and I feel my dealings with Sandersons have negatively tainted the times we had in our home.
The communication we received was unprofessional and unhelpful. We spent hours drafting emails to highlight how ridiculous we felt the deductions to be. It took many weeks before we even saw a more concise breakdown/evidence of what they were proposing.
How can you charge £415.00 for a clean? How can you charge for dust and expect us to pay when you had viewings days after we moved out?.
I feel taken advantage of as a student and upset that our efforts to clean the house and leave it in a better condition than when we found it has been dismissed. There were discrepancies in what was being charged for which required clarification. There have been several unanswered emails and phone calls. We had to email several times to get a reply on occasions. This was frustrating as I was adamant that I needed to speak to someone. I think this evidences a lack of professionalism from Sandersons and a priority to get our money rather than discuss the issues they had with the house.
Me and my housemates took this to TDS where we were awarded a large sum of our money. We were told the dispute could take up to 18 months which we felt was a way to deter us from taking this matter further.
We are honest, decent, hard working people that if at any fault would have happily paid. But we were not at fault.
I urge any students/tenants reading this to stand up and fight for what you know is to be right.
I feel that I could go on, but in order to have closure from what has been a mentally challenging ordeal I can rest in the knowledge that despite us not receiving all money (which if I had the opportunity I would continue to contest) we got back most of the money which is rightfully ours.
I would like it noted that I do not like speaking negatively of any company, but unfortunately on this occasion I believe this has warranted a bad review.

Here's my experience of them: 16 June I gave them instructions to sell a property and within a couple of days they had produced a highly professional ad, including a video; 18 July they had found me a buyer then kept tabs on, and chased, everything that needed to be in place for the sale; 22 September I exchanged contracts (with completion set for 27 September). My overall impression is that the team at Sandersons worked seamlessly to secure the best outcome possible on this sale. Once the buyer was found, Cherie Galley kept things moving in a very friendly and professional way and ensured that any concerns the buyer had were properly dealt with. We have been looking at apartments and houses for several weeks.
Several have been from Sandersons. We wanted to check Bingley court for renting. The other flats had been let before we could view. The flat was emmpty and felt spacious. The ensuite bathroom shower was too small but the other bathroom had a bath shower. We liked the flat but felt it was too small. Our family is three people. The location is near to the station, the center of town and a supermarket.
Sandersons representative was polite and knowlegeble. We were late and rang the office to let them know. We got put in a queue which was frustrating but got through after two or three ttempts. The agent was showing the house to another customer and waited for us and was not disturbed by our late arrival.
