I recently moved to the UK and had my first property viewing arranged by Rio Bell from Stirling Ackroyd Brixton. Initially, I wasn’t fully convinced, so I explored a few other properties as well.
I was also shown another property by Elena from Stirling Ackroyd, who was wonderful and very helpful
In the end, I decided to go ahead with the first property I viewed. I would like to thank Rio Bell for her consistent follow-up and support. The team has been very proactive, responsive, and professional throughout.
Overall, I had a positive experience with Stirling Ackroyd.

We sold our house via the Egham team last year. Mark, who is the Regional Manager, and Harry who was our Sales agent were both excellent, very professional. Stirling gave us a much higher valuation than the two others we had and managed to get us a sale of just under 5k of our asking price, far more than we expected. Harry kept in regular contact and always called me back if he was out of the office. If you are selling in the Egham area I would highly recommend Stirling Ackroyd over the other prominent agent in the area who did not even bother to to call us back after their much lower valuation.

The flat we rent has been managed for several years by Stirling Ackroyd, and I’d like to acknowledge the ongoing support of David Umney in particular, whose speedy responses, great communication and readiness to address and resolve any issues when they (very rarely) come up has been so consistent and is hugely appreciated. David’s so approachable, and his professionalism and understanding goes a very long way in making renting with Stirling Ackroyd such a positive experience for us!

My experience as a landlord with First Capital and Passion Property Group has been extremely stressful and disappointing.
After serving a valid Notice to Quit (NTQ), the property should have been returned to me at the end of the tenancy. Despite this, they have refused to hand back possession. Even after Croydon Council confirmed they would remove the tenant, I have continued to face resistance. In my experience, housing law has been incorrectly cited to justify keeping my property beyond the agreed tenancy end date.
Rent payments have repeatedly been made late, causing unnecessary financial strain. I have also been charged for repairs that I was never informed about beforehand, despite the contract clearly stating that they are liable for such repairs. The lack of communication and transparency has been deeply concerning.
I am particularly dissatisfied with the conduct of Nathan Hancox, the General Manager, who in my experience has stood in the way of resolving matters efficiently. I feel both the resident and I, as the landlord, have been let down.
I would also like to mention Stirling Ackroyd, the estate agency in South Norwood that introduced me to this arrangement. Throughout this situation, I have found them unresponsive, unsupportive, and unwilling to assist in resolving the issues. As a property owner, this has added significant hardship and stress to my life. Based on this experience, I will not be using their services again.
Overall, I would strongly advise other landlords to exercise extreme caution before entering into agreements with these companies.

As a first-time landlord using an agent, I was nervous at first. However, Akash made on boarding seamless, and Kaitlyn has been excellent at managing the property. We’ve moved past the initial teething issues into a stable phase. Greatly appreciate the help!

Matt came to value the property and was approachable, knowledgeable and friendly. His valuation was accurate and the marketing information for the property was comprehensive. Sandra in the sales aftercare team kept us up to date and pursued solicitors when necessary, providing us with background information on the process. All in all we were really pleased with the Stirling Ackroyd team and their friendly and efficient service.
