A Buyers Perspective.....bought and sold several houses over the years and have been very impressed with the quality of S&P staff. House viewings are organised promptly but what has been a stand out for us is the quality of the people showing you around. Always early and incredibly well informed on the finer details relating to the property. In my experience one is often left with the feeling that an agent is going through the motions and the person showing you around doesnt really know much about the house they are trying to sell. S&P are different and I've been really impressed with the knowldege and professionalism of the front line troops whose job it is to show you around and ultimately sell the 'dream'!

We have never experienced such lack of professionalism. The team was aware that we are travelling 1.5-2 hours with infant twins to view multiple properties. On arrival I saw an email sent 5-10 minutes prior to the viewing saying it was cancelled because nobody could show us around due to someone calling in sick last minute. When calling the agency they apologied of course saying that the person in charge at the development as well as the agency were not around either. The developer apparently did not even know the time of the viewing hence the late cancellation. It is beyond me how nobody can cover a sick colleague especially under these circumstances and how the viewing time is unknown so potential buyers are not wasting time and petrol driving there, not to mention the effort it takes travelling with infant twins.

All the Strutt & Parker staff were a sea of calm in the storm ravaged nightmare of house purchase. Very friendly and helpful throughout and always cheerful which is not always the case with several other estate agents we had contact with when house hunting. Would recommend them unreservedly.

It took us almost 2 years to sell our somewhat unusual Grade 2 listed house in central Canterbury despite many viewings and a substantial drop in the price. We were not helped by the sudden increase in interest rates and a consequent falling housing market.
Strutt & Parker, and Joe Charlton in particular, were supportive and assiduous in achieving a sale. They were always professional and communication was of the highest order with careful checks on prospective buyers. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them and would certainly use them if we ever have to move again.

I have never met Joe, but have communicated with him on the phone and via email. with regard to the purchase of an apartment. He has been first class throughout the long, drawn-out process. Emails have been promptly answered. However naive my question he has never betrayed the irritation he was probably experiencing. When they eventually did we asked for the size of a garden which they didn't have the answer too .We eventually received a text message with the plot size ,not the garden size .

The tone and positioning of the Marketing was right on point for this part of the market something we had fallen down on with previous agents. The quality of potential buyers was top notch so no time wasting and the communications from Simon & Jane gave us confidence that we were in good hands with some tricky negotiations needed at times. We've exchanged and look forward to moving soon, I've already recommended their services to one of my clients. I don't recommend people to my clients unless I know they have equally high professional standards. House selling doesn't need to be stressful if you're in the right hands.

Worst experience ever! I dealt with Canterbury office and they oversold their abilities. Didn’t do any marketing but charged me for it. Even sent an incompetent to do a showing with photocopies of the marketing brochure. After a couple of months of nothing I changed agency. If you need to sell a property in Canterbury area please don’t go to them
