I met with a number of agents in Witney, and Thomas Merrifield gave the most realistic evaluation (evaluations from other agents were much higher, unrealistically so). My main contact, Philip, was professional and someone you could trust to negotiate on your behalf. Philip helpfully gave time to come to the house act as a witness to the signing of contract of sale (twice) as we couldn't get another witness due to Covid-19. The only complaint I would have, and it is a small one, is that communication could be more regular; selling a home is stressful, and it often feels like nothing is happening, even when it is, so regular communication (even it if it is that there has been no progress) is important. You are often cut out of communications between agent and conveyancer. However, this seems to be the case with most agents. It would be useful if there was an account you could sign in to and check what has been happening. But that is a minor quibble. I would certainly recommend using Thomas Merrifield in Witney....
