Having moved every year for the past ten years, I am thoroughly impressed and blown away by the service Scott Fraser provided. In particular, Sofia Wilkins from Witney branch who has been amazing throughout this whole process. They are responsive, considerate and goes above and beyond to be inform and support as much as possible. Having Sofia as our point of contact has made this move seamless, stress free and an enjoyable experience. She always responded quickly and even with things she did not readily know answer to, was helpful in liasing with landlords and finding information as efficiently as possible. She and the team went above and beyond whenever possible and has been accomodating consistently. Diabolical service. Pure thievery!
They allowed us to pay full deposits and rent, which is actually legally binding - knowing full well the landlord hadn't agreed, only to tell us they were breaking contract ON the day we were moving in!
We had given up our flat, paid and signed, and they told us we had to pay 6months upfront (£9000) if we wanted to move in that day.
We're still waiting for our money back, after 3weeks, with no follow up and a "sorry for the inconvenience" as an apology.
Absolute disgrace, and actually illegal.

Really poor experience at the end of renting through Scottfraser. They strung out the refund of the deposit for over 5 weeks, despite it being held with the DPS scheme, which quotes 2 days to refund.
There’s a loophole in the DPS system that means they can claim that they’ve not heard back from the landlord and so can’t action any refund until they have. If you rent from a busy landlord this can add weeks to the process.
We were also owed overpaid rent (from our last half month) and again they said it was up to the landlord to refund them before they could refund me. This took nearly 7 weeks to pay back. Apparently it’s not their responsibility to repay me that money even though I’d paid it directly to them originally. I was told to take legal action against the landlord rather than them.
Finally, even when a landlord does authorise a refund, they quote up to 5 full working days to repay you via BACS, and both refunds funnily enough took the full 5 days. In this day and age this can only be down to a policy to sit on as much tenants money as long as possible.
Communication was poor throughout all of this process, including being sent a check-out report for a completely different flat and never receiving the correct one. Maybe they’d lost it…
To conclude, if you rent through Scottfraser, be prepared for them to hold on to potentially thousands of pounds of your money for many weeks after you’ve moved out.

We sold our property with Scott Fraser in April 2022. The purchase price was accepted and we were delighted. However once the sale occurred we did not hear from Scott Fraser for over a month, when we contacted them. There was an issue with the buyer’s mortgage offer, but we had not been informed. After this Tom Mizen took over our sale and purchase of our new property. It was quite complicated and seemed endless at the time. Yet over the 6 months that followed (it took so long!) Tom contacted us regularly to update us on proceedings. I was very grateful for this quality of service, which really helped through this difficult process. He was always professional and considerate of the stressful situation we were all in.
We would definitely use Scott Fraser again and would fully recommend their customer care.

I recently sold my house through Scott Fraser. Getting the house on to the market happened quickly and I was happy with the professional photos, which were of better quality than those produced by other estate agents in Witney. An updated EPC was also arranged and paid for which other estate agents do not seem to include or arrange leaving it up to the client instead. Ellie was really helpful in negotiating a good offer for me, which was higher than the initial valuation. There were some issues with other parties in the chain which caused some stress when nearing exchange of contracts, but we managed to complete in the end.

You'll pay your rent on time each month but still receive a text informing you your rent is seriously overdue, adding stress to a already stressful life and wasting time that I don't have. Very unhelpful on the phone. If you want a stress free tenancy then I wouldn't recommend scottfraser/leaders Ltd.
Update: to add insult to injury, after moving out it took over 3months for them to release the deposit to me, this was after numerous phone calls, emails and visiting the office 3 times.
Steer clear of scott fraser if you can.

Oh boy where do I start.. I am a tenant renting one of their properties and this has to be the most disorganised mess I've ever experienced.
I am due to leave in a few months and have been getting countless emails from different members of staff, all stating different things, all of them incorrect. They demonstrate a complete lack of coordination and cannot seem to get the simplest of things right. I've had emails from credit control saying I'm in arrears when I'm up-to-date on my rent, emails telling me my check-out is in two weeks when it's in three months, emails from no less than six different people and not one of them is consistent or correct. Managers have assured me they will get the errors under control but they're still running round like headless chickens and don't seem to have a clue. It's an absolute disaster.
Not to mention them trying every trick in the book to pressure me out of the property before I'm ready. I'm waiting for a house purchase to complete and have had to get legal advice because Scott Fraser have tried to deny extensions to my stay and jack up the rent.
I would strongly recommend anyone looking to rent that they are very careful when dealing with these people. They will do everything they can to extract money from you with absolutely no regard for tenancy laws - hoping you aren't clued up enough to challenge them.
So glad TDS exists, as I have no doubt they would try every trick in the book to withhold a deposit. Cannot wait to never have to deal with these people again.

When we decided to put our house on the market, we invited three estate agents to carry out valuations but there wasn't any competiton or decision to be made. I was very nervous about selling our home as we've lived there nine years and raised our two children threre. We weren't completely sure we would go ahead with selling up as we knew that buying and selling houses was notoriously stressful but we knew, with a growing family, that we needed a larger house.
David from Scott Fraser Estate Agents in Witney was very professional, polite and made the whole process very easy. He took away the stress of it all and was always on hand to promptly answer any questions or concerns by phone, email or in person. From start to finish, David gave an outstanding service. We sold our home in January, in just five days with three offers on the table.
