Really great dealing with Char Smith as a prospective tenant: fast, efficient and fair. She will be in danger of giving estate agents a good name!
Contacted by Rebecca after I had told Chancellors 4 times in the past not to ever contact me again. These people are like a dog with a bone. As soon as they got my details they will *not* stop emailing and phoning me about letting my property through them. Their internal systems are a disaster.
Plenty of good estate agents out there. Would avoid Chancellors at all costs.
Myself and my partner are renting for the first time on our own and Scott Fraser have been extremely helpful in making this process as easy as possible for us. Our letting agent Jenna was extremely approachable and quick to respond to any queries we had before we moved in. Since we moved in on Friday we have received another message from Jenna checking we are settling in well which is very comforting. I would definitely recommend Scott Fraser if you're looking to rent for the first time and don't really know what you're doing! :)
I was very disappointed with my experience. I tried to register to buy a house a couple of times and was bounced from pillar to post.
I was then finally told the property I was interested in was no longer available. Thankfully I crossed the road to Allen & Harris and they were able to help me. They seem to deserve their customer rating!
Martyn R Cox were very professional and friendly, and they helped us throughout the process... even going over and above to help with sourcing suppliers. The flowers they sent us in our first week were also a lovely touch. We would definitely use them again in the future if we ever needed to move house.
So disappointing - such bad service! Snap shot from the email to them...
At the outset we were underestimated as potential buyers of the property.
We now understand that just after we visited the property, the vendor removed the house from sale, having accepted an offer from other buyers. It was at that point that we were rushing to get our house on the market, as you well knew. Nobody from your organisation saw fit to give us that little gem of information; information that could have saved us £800 and the effort of getting our property in tip-top saleable state.
Edited - to add that I was contacted about this review, and wasn't left with any more respect than I had to start with. So the house was left on the market when an offer was accepted from client 1 pending them being able to proceed, but they were not open to any other viewings. The offer had gone in just before our second viewing, and also spending out on purple bricks (who were very good). Allegedly this was also a benefit to us, not sure how?
At NO time were we contacted to be given any update or information on the sale of the property. It was only when I called in when the house was finally posted as 'SSTC' that we found out where things were.
We were not taken seriously as purchasers, and were just the back up - and we lost our £800 that we didn't need to spend. If we had been made aware of the facts at the time of our second viewing we would have walked away.
We recently had the pleasure of dealing with Jeremy from Breckon & Breckon on the purchase of our wonderful new property in Old Stratford. He was extremely knowledgable, professional and extremely efficient throughout the whole process, even making himself available during weekends and evenings to fit in around our busy lives. We would more than happily use Jeremy again and recommend his and Breckon & Breckon's services to anyone!
July 2015: After a fairly positive start. I had no viewings in around 10 weeks, no active contact from the member of staff, supposedly managing my sale, in almost 10 weeks. Requested call backs hit and miss & they think they were offering good service! Lack of enthusiasm I'm afraid.
Very helpful staff with wonderful customer service as a letting agent. Oliver James Witney act in the best interests of both owners and tenants. Highly recommended.
(Witney branch) 3 viewings in 8 months. Leaving the property vacant and me without rent for 6 months. Asking for 75% increase in commission if we had a 2nd agent "working for us". Switched estate agents and had 6 viewings in their 1st month even before internet listing as it is a good property.
