1st Jul 2024 (26 days ago)The whole team at Allen and Harris have been absolutely fantastic. Mark valued our house and was very open and honest with me about it, showing exactly where his figures were coming from which I really appreciated. I then felt totally looked after by the whole team as we went to sell with communication being on point. Knowing that they were actively perusing sales, not just waiting for viewings was a great experience that led to a really high uptake in initial viewings very shortly after going to market, and an offering being accepted within a week. While we've dealt with lots of people at the branch, every single one of them has been friendly, welcoming, authentically personable and professional, so I knew we were in safe hands. Even going into the office it felt like we were being welcomed into a family. The ease of doing everything through Allen and Harris/Sequence was invaluable as well and we're so grateful for their help in setting everything up. A massive thank you to Mark, James, Sophie, Leah, and Poppy, I cannot recommend you all enough!

He took on my case in great detail making sure, as best he could, that my requirements were correct. As it's turned out I have found a property elsewhere but Liam is a great asset to company.

Rupert's extensive knowledge of the local area and excellent communication throughout, made for a seamless process from start to finish. I would add the marketing and photography were superb. 15th Feb 2022 (2 years ago)Very bad experience: They could not provide me a single suggestion in almost one month despite the fact that I was ready to pay up to £1250. Although, they put me under great stress and made me believe that I can’t get any house below £1200 and can’t get less than 2 bedroom for family with a baby. It is because of them I did not search for less than 2 bedroom property for a long, assuming I can’t get that, which was incorrect. Every time, I called them they said it is not in their area and they will send my details to other office. Once, I spent around 4-5 hours to fill a form to apply for a property whose result they never shared with me. I expressed my interest to view many properties but mostly I did not get a response because they already had many applications for that property. Feedback for the agent to improve: 1.First, be transparent and responsive to the customers. If there are many applications for some property then convey that to the customers instead of keeping quite. Reply each email/call. 2.You have multiple offices in Oxford and you have advantage so use that to help the customers and not for torturing them. There is no communication (at least customer oriented) between your different branches. Your people just pass responsibility to other branches. For example, I called several times to show interest in some property then I was told that that property is not in their area. First, they should help the customers instead of passing on the things. Secondly, give the customer options available with you (customer might get interested in property available with you) instead of getting rid of them.

9th Jul 2023 (1 year ago)Would not recommend this estate agents. I had to chase them for feedback every time (however, only had 7 viewings in 4 months!) didn’t hear from them at all for 7 weeks! NO communication at all!! Arranged viewings with totally unsuitable prospective buyers (e.g. a lady with an electric car who wanted to install an electric hook up when there is no driveway-on street parking). Felt forgotten about as the office wasn’t in our town. Worse than disappointing.

Accurate price setting of the house ensured we had offers in quickly and more importantly validated. Second to none of you want to sell.

Failed to respond to key information during conveyancing process, and missed a vital detail that caused purchase to fall through on DAY OF EXCHANGE. 13th Jun 2023 (1 year ago)Hathaways took over management of our Oxford property in April this year, and so far have been a breath of fresh air - it's great to be working again with a family concern, and to feel that they care about us and our tenants. The only issue we had was that some documents were rather unclear, but they responded promptly to my feedback and updated the docs to fix this. Service has been friendly and efficient.
