I sold my property with Walmsley and was very satisfied with their service. I made the mistake of opting for another estate agent previously who let me down. I was impressed with Craig’s kindness and compassion as well as his team. I was extremely busy with work commitments, Craig and Paula were absolutely fantastic in making the sale as smooth as possible for me. I have no hesitation in recommending Walmsley Estate agents.

Earlier this year Walmsley both sold our house and the house we bought. We had an incredibly good experience with them in both instances. The people at Walmsley were fantastic at every stage: showing us houses, getting ours on the market, and during the buying/selling process.
We couldn't be home when the photos of our house were being taken but Craig met the photographer and handled everything for us, including moving some incredibly heavy boxes to get a good photo of our spare room - something we did not expect him to do!
Paula was absolutely fabulous once offers had been accepted and we were going through the buying/selling process. Like every house purchase, there were some bumps in the road, but Simon and Paula kept us well informed and we managed to navigate through. Now we are in the house of our dreams where we get to raise our toddler!

Simon and Craig's advice when putting it on the market was genuine and helpful, and once the offer was accepted Paula kept things on track brilliantly. Had a brilliant experience selling my house with Walmsley. In fact this is the third house Simon, Craig and the team have sold for me in 25 years. Selling a house is never stress-free but the Walmsley team somehow absorb much of it!
I made a mistake initially by engaging a different Caversham estate agency to sell my house - I was seduced by the number of their boards in Caversham Heights and the suggested selling price (far too high I realise now).
In the end, switching to sound advice and realistic pricing from the Walmsley team got me the result I wanted. In fact, from accepting an offer in mid Jan 2024, I moved into my new home just 11 weeks later.
Special mention to Paula Abbott at Walmsley who progressed the sale process firmly, calmly and with lots of reassurance.

Bought a property recently as a first time buyer. We were thinking of getting a survey of the property to have a piece of mind that everything is running fine. The estate agent convinced us that there are no issues with the property as the previous tenants who lived there did not report any complaints. When we moved into the house, the boiler was not working at all and we had to pay hefty amount to get the boiler fixed. And when we recahed out to Walmsley regarding this, they backed off and said that the property was not rented through them and they donot have any history of the house.
Another things is that they lure you into the trap of getting the mortgage advisor and Solicictors from them as part of the deal who charge you way more than the market price in order to expedite the process which is good thing but this was not done out of goodwill, this was just so that the agent could make some extra bucks off of you.
Overall, a worst first time buying experience.
Will not deal with Walmsley ever in the future again.
Advice for first time buyers, please do your due dilligence before buying the property from Walmsley, donot trust blindly with anything that is being conveyed to you.

I’d just like to say a big thank you to Craig, Simon & Paula for their help and advice in selling our property. Local knowledge of the area and letting potential buyers know this certainly assisted in moving things forward. It is a testing time in the market, with interest rates rising and buyers being very picky. However they always provided sound advice and opinions to help manage this difficult process. I would have no hesitation in recommending that you use Walmsley’s for selling your property.

We bought our lovely house in Caversham through Walmsley and from Craig, who really know the area and showed us the house around, to Paula who look after us once the offer was agreed, the experience is been great! All we can say is a massive thank you to Paula who has gone above and beyond with us. She resolves queries quickly and helped with the little challenges we faced with sellers to get over them quickly!

Coming in contact with Walmsley is still the best thing to happen to me, great team, great customer service, wonderful offer, I couldn’t ask for more, I recently rented an apartment with Walmsley in Wokingham and moved in 3weeks ago, they were super helpful and patient and answered every silly question I had. I’d recommend them to anyone, renting or buying a property. ????

Selling your home is stressfull enough, but selling my late mothers home overwhelmed me, I didnt know where to start. When I met Simon he gave me advice on how to prepare the house for market as executor, & not the owner. Simon, Craig, Francesca & Paula kept me updated through the whold process. They were friendly & professional throughout & it sold a lot quicker than I thought it would.
I would definitely recommend. An amazing team who care.
