I felt that Harry, Gemma and Bryony were quite a proactive team compared to other estate agents I've dealt with. The fact that we've also gone with the mortgage advisor and the solicitor recommended by Wards is testament to how proactive they are. We are happy with both the solicitor and the mortgage advisor we went with as well which to me means that the quality of the people/organizations they had selected for their extra services was also good. All in all the three of them are a good team who complement each other IMO.
Harry came across as someone who was very friendly and approachable. During our search for a property, I've met many estate agents and with some I've felt a certain degree of attitude. Harry has been very friendly throughout despite my many questions. He has showed us at least three properties and the one we've ended up buying is a property we viewed with him. That in itself speaks volumes!
Gemma showed us two properties if I remember correctly and she came across as someone very professional and enthusiastic. She was describing various positive things about the properties sometimes on her own accord. Some estate agents I've dealt with have come across to me as lazy. Gemma has been quite the opposite.
I've dealt with Bryony mainly only in telephone conversations. She came across mainly as someone quite proactive to me. She was instrumental in our decision to go with the recommended solicitor as she highlighted key benefits of going with them and even went as far as doing comparisons with two other solicitor firms I was considering.

A lady from Wards Tunbridge Wells called my wife to schedule a visit to our (rented) house. As the landlord didn't send a 2 months notice to sell, my wife told her we can't accept visits. The lady yelled at my wife and then hung up.

We've just finishing buying our first home through Wards Tunbridge Wells. From start to finish the level of service provided has exceeded all expectations.
Shout out to Bryony who showed us the property, and walked us through the first steps of our home buying journey. Another shout out Kelly, our sales progressor who was on hand to help and answer any questions or concerns we had.
As an unexpected finishing touch, when picking up the keys Wards gave us a house warming gift/care package to celebrate moving in.

Just completed on a flat that I purchased through Wards Tunbridge Wells. The agent who helped me through the offer/negotiation was William Cornwell. He was brilliant; very helpful and professional. This was the quickest part of the entire sale.
During the enquiries stage, Kelly Holland (sales progressor) was fantastic in communicating all updates to me and chasing up on everything.
My only frustration was with Martin Tolhurst’s Solicitors who the seller used to represent them (and is recommended by Wards). They were very slow and made the process longer than it needed to be.

We went to see a property with Katie Ray, and after a great discussion about how we had struggled to sell our apartment due to the recent cladding issues, she convinced us to try Wards.
Katie, Rob and the team were an endlessly friendly and helpful resource. It really was a complete difference to what we were used to.
8 months later we have just completed the sale of our property. The team couldn't have been more helpful and most notably Kelly Holland, our negotiator. Through dire solicitors, people leaving, unnecessary and hilarious enquiries and even a very unscrupulous Tory party... Kelly defeated all odds to get this sale over the line. She held the hands of our buyer and myself the whole way through and dragged this transaction through by the scruff of its neck.
I couldn't have asked for better support than that!
Thank you ever so much for all of your help, it won't be forgotten.
Kelly Holland needs a raise and possibly a holiday somewhere warm and expensive.

We recently had Katie-Ray show us around a property that we were very keen on. Katie was extremely knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the house she was showing, and that made a huge difference. Unfortunately sometimes I think agents have so many viewings on a property and so many clients to see each day that you are left to your own devices a lot in properties, but Katie was fantastic and the total opposite to this. She knew about the house, the neighbourhood (despite not living anywhere near it), the schools, facilities, intricacies of the property itself. She also put up with my rubbish jokes! It really does make a huge difference and we made an offer that has been accepted as a result. Can not recommend Katie-Ray at Wards enough.

This could be the worse experience I have had before in my past properties transactions. Particularly, the solicitor they referred was terrible and not professional. Subsequently, it made me frustrated and depressed. However, even I asked for help from the estate agent, they couldn't rectify the case with the solicitor. Also, they are always not reachable and not replied me even I left message to call back.

Word of warning though, do NOT use Martin Tolhurst and your solicitor as they will advise (and are paid to). We fell for it unfortunately and have regretted the day we agreed to use them since day 1. 6 months down the line and still not completed and nothing but grief. Do some research and find your own.

What a great team they are at Wards - always helpful, pleasant and polite. I must make special mention of Katie-Ray Newman who has been a joy throughout this process. During one afternoon of viewing at my property, she showed over a dozen people round at intervals of 15 minutes, and remained cheerful at the end of the day. And she still had enough energy to give me some useful feedback.

I have nothing but praise for Wards of Tunbridge Wells. From receptionists to those conducting sales, I have been met with kindness and efficiency. Just before I used Wards to find a flat, I used another estate agent for the same purpose. They had a beautiful flat on the market but the two fellows who showed me round were so uninterested in the process, indeed bordering on rude, that I wouldn’t have bought the flat on principle.
Joe Stockton, one of the sales team at Wards, couldn’t have been more different: charming, encouraging and honest. George Roche is also to be highly praised - really kind and extremely efficient. Also, Rob Mitchell, the branch manager was superb. I have been going through a particularly challenging period and to have dealings with these gentlemen, in the old fashioned sense of that word, restored my faith in humanity. They work fast and even if it must be the case that they want to close a deal, you never feel that this is the first thing on their minds. Also, they use their own conveyancing solicitors which is a huge plus, particularly at this time of buying.
They are a superb and modest team. I rate modesty very highly as I do kindness and I was shown this at every step. I cannot recommend them too highly.

We approached Wards of Kent, for purchasing our first property in the UK. Joe Stockton (Wards, Royal Tunbridge Wells) was wonderful during our search. Even during this crisis time, he showed us properties which was perfect for our need and budget.
Joe was readily available when you need to get in touch and the service, we received was tremendous and above our expectations.
He always made the time to call back as soon as possible if any time he missed our calls and made sure put us in touch with other teams (George, Rob and Anna) if we needed advice.
We will definitely be using them again in future for their expertise, friendliness & work principles. Recommend them anytime.

I contacted Wards and first spoke to Ellie in the central office in Rochester... she was friendly, positive, supportive and professional. I was then put in touch with Anna, who again was approachable, accommodating, professional and overall had a real “Can Do” attitude. I also spoke and met Joe who bowled me over with his maturity, friendly professional approach and he’s only 23!! Both Anna and Joe were so supportive and personable going forward in helping me view property. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again and was really touched, when my purchase didn’t go ahead, they still had the courtesy and time to send me a really kind email. I have had a pretty difficult time trying to move during the Covid pandemic and the team at Wards both in Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge have been brilliant.
Even though Wards are not selling my property, they call regularly to keep in touch, never put you under pressure and have plenty of advice to help make things easier if they can. They have shown me a wide variety of properties to help me narrow down what I really want and the viewings are always relaxed and friendly.
A particular thank you to George at Tunbridge Wells and Honi in Tonbridge who have been patient and helpful, despite the repeated collapse of my chain. I would certainly recommend them.

Joe and Anna were both absolutely wonderful during my search for a property. Joe was always readily available when you needed to get in touch with him and the service we received was second to none. He always made the time to make sure any questions were answered and put us in touch with other teams if we needed advice.
Anna was also there to offer alternative properties she thought we might be interested in, which really helped us compare what we were looking for.

Terrible and time wasters. We recently made an offer on a Ward’s property which was accepted. They did not take it off the market nor did we receive any correspondence or confirmation from them. After 10 days we chased as were very confused and annoyed that we hadn’t received anything. We were told it would be taken off the market immediately and the memorandum was on its way. Neither was true. We called again a few days later and they proceeded to take down all our details again, which we had given them on day one. Us chasing and them promising to take it off the market and send the memorandum went on for over four weeks. Not once did they contact us or give us a reason why nothing had happened. After this we pulled out. Not surprisingly the memorandum, which apparently had been posted/emailed numerous times, never arrived. They wasted four weeks of ours and the seller’s time. We subsequently made an offer on a house listed by Wood and Pilcher and received the memorandum the next day with excellent service. We will avoid all properties listed by Ward’s in the future.
