Very disappointed and left frustrated with this letting agency.
Booked 3 viewings in. Drove near enough two hours to these viewings as I’m relocating . Confirmed them the day before and the morning of as I was driving. Arrived at the first viewing. Called multiple times. Rang the doorbell. Emailed the individual I was meant to be meeting. Emailed the person who set up the viewings. Just poor communication. Very very upsetting after travelling for so long with my infant child. So grateful I had other booking set up so my time was not completely wasted, but they themselves wasted my time and I feel very let down. Not a good agency. Be very careful

I believe this company are the letting agents for the flat beneath mine. The actions of their tenants over the last five years have caused me to be unable to live normally in my flat and having had it valued recently thinking it might be best to sell I have found it is also worth less money than it should be. Understandably people are not keen to buy a flat above noisy disruptive bullying tenants who flytip in the street, let their garden turn into a jungle and shout, slam doors and bang brooms on the wall beneath my windows at 2 am. I contacted WH Brown regarding this over 2 years ago and they were not even polite enough to respond to my email. The downstairs tenants now appear to have moved out, so there is hope of some improvement. However they have left their flytipping behind which I have cleared up myself and the garden which has not been touched for five years is now past being something an average renter could possibly deal with. I contacted them again recently but got nowhere, the state of the garden and the noise their tenants caused are both breaches of the owners lease. The ex tenants also left their windows open and often used them to access the flat. This cannot be a good way to manage a property????

Whilst all staff were pleasant, I believe there is something fundamentally wrong with their sales process
Rather than a rant, i would like to provide data for my rating. .
Property listed - 16 Feb. 36 Viewings, two prices reductions later, four offers, which after due diligence all withdrew off their own accord.
I have now removed them as agents and would share a warning to all other potential 'victims' that despite not being able to sell houses, they are very quick to tie you up in legal contracts to make it very difficult to move on. As the market is slow moving, they are desperately hanging in will be strongly 'encouraging' anyone that enters their funnel to use all linked services. Which can be off putting if you have your own providers.

Extremely disappointing experience overall. Our interactions with Kristian Berisha and Eleanor Fleck were particularly troubling, as they exhibited a lack of professionalism and competence. It's evident that the office is managed by individuals who fail to recognize the importance of their roles and responsibilities. Currently, an external investigation is underway to address these concerning issues. I strongly advise steering clear of this establishment, as it is plagued by incompetence and a lack of diligence!

Where do I start ... My word!
1) Lettings are useless, always unreachable. Just a group of unprofessional girls not wanting to pick the phones up. We were always transferred to Sales.
2) Their young manager Mollie is as rude as could be, she shouts at customers who complain about their customer service and disagree with her lack of work methods.
3) William H Brown do business with shady landlords who don't care about their property and will increase the rent at least £100 pcm over the average market price without repairing anything.
4) We were told that a No deposit scheme was available. After paying the holding deposit (obviously non-refundable) they told us that the landlord suddenly wants a full 5-week deposit. We believe this to be a teamwork of lies planned by both the agency and landlord.
5) They lie to potential tenants about the conditions of available properties and availability dates.
Avoid this agency at all costs.

I rent out a house in Northampton through William H Brown. The latest inspection revealed some major issues, which needed addressing without delay. Jamie Holdback from the Norwich office arranged with due urgency for assessments and quotations from several contractors with different skill sets. Once I had given the go ahead, she scheduled them to complete all the work required, regularly (sometimes several times a day) reporting back to me or clarifying requirements. This clearly represented a considerable amount of additional work for her and I would like to commend her thoroughness in managing the contractors, as well as her patience in dealing with my numerous emails relating to this work.

Having seen a viewing take place, I get given a card from the guy. I call number on the card to be told its not this office and to find the number of the right office, okay. Get through to this new number and told to call back in two days. I call back 2 days later to be asked a billion questions. All I wanted to do was view it, kept being asked to come in which i dont want to do. They spend a lot of time telling you what they think but never acting on what you actually want. Too many irrelevant questions which I think is just to see how interested you are or to sell you other services.

This company is a big joke. Each occasion there is a fault in the property I'm renting it takes minimum 6 to 12 weeks for some one to come out to check it. then another few weeks for it to be repaired. Their customer service is such a shame and you get cut off the phone each time you want to speak to someone. I haven't had a proper shower in months due to the fault in the bathroom, each time i call i was apologised to and told someone will ring me back. I've informed them i'll be using a local electrician to fix this and will deduct the charge from the rent plus inconvenience. You may want to look elsewhere before renting from this organisation

So I am based in London and invested in two buy to let properties in Northampton , I found the service from Violeta , Molly and Hamida absolutely outstanding, Violeta was away and I have only met Molly once and they took over and rented both properties , one within 4 days. There team work is outstanding when ever I call who ever picks the phone up with deal with the matter rather than ask to call back etc. Keep up the good work and you have a new London customer for a very longtime . I had an offer accepted on a property and started mortgage application. Three weeks later they called me to tell me that they had sold the property to someone else for an extra £5000.
I had wrongly assumed that the property was off the market
I was shocked and £300 out of pocket for the valuation fee.
I have never known such bad practice

Its estate agents like this who give the industry a terrible reputation. Complete and utter waste of space. Due them ignoring my calls after my offer was accepted, I went on to waste over 6 months on a property which could have been avoided if they had responded to my numerous calls and if they had checked in with the vendor. Use them at your won peril!

Disgusted by the lettings side of this estate agents. They have left my friend who is severely disabled without heating or hot water for 5 weeks, due to the boiler breaking. They have requested resolution multiple times and get fobbed off by unprofessional, uncaring and incompetent staff. Lack of warmth can seriously compromise my friends health and I am furious that any estate agent would leave a vulnerable adult in this way during one of the coldest winters we have had in years. Shame on you ....!!!

I can’t speak for the other branches/experiences people have had with this company but I must say that I received first class service Sean Homer-McCormack at the Bridge Street branch in assisting me with finding a place to rent in Northampton.
I’d previously spoken to a number of prominent estate agent companies when looking to relocate to Northampton before I came across Sean at William H Brown. Sean was the first agent I spoke to where I felt valued as a renter. If you’ve ever tried to rent you’ll know exactly what I mean.
Sean took the time to listen to my individual circumstances and found a creative solution to help me find the perfect home for me, my son and puppy. He even thought about properties with the appropriate wall heights so my puppy wouldn’t escape. How incredibly thoughtful was that?! It’s these little things that make a huge difference.
At all times, I found Sean to be incredibly professional, efficient m, friendly, relatable and quick to respond to my many queries - everything you want to experience in an agent.
I have already referred Sean to friend looking to relocate from London and will be personally asking for Sean to oversee my house buying process when I look to buy next year.
William H Brown (Bridge Street) have found a rare gem in Sean and his approach really should be the standard of best practice for all letting agents. Definitely five stars from me.

The place is decent. Used them since last year both their mortgage broker service and also the estat agent service. Let's just say as a first time buyer with little knowledge do your searches very well. Do not limit yourself. If I was to go back in time I will avoid them. At the end I fell out with the negotiator after sensing something was not adding up with delay from the seller and when I call to enquiry the negotiator gets annoyed with me. At the end the house fell through with no better explanation.
Although I stayed with the broker (sequence), I had to keep chasing all the time regarding the second property especially with valuation and getting replies with emails.
This by the way is the experience i have gone through with this particular company.

False advertising. They keep old properties on the marker so that it entices customers to call in. What they then tell you is the property is sold and end up showing you other properties that do not match your criteria. They are running out of properties to sell so keep old ones on websites like right move

Terrible experience! After collecting keys owners of the house didnt want to leave, agency extremely unhelpful and put the phone down once we were told to speak to them!
And hours after it was finally sorted we got an automatic email telling us that house move is completed?! Like stating the obvious! So out of touch with real world of customer service! Wouldn't use them even of it would be last agency on earth.

I am a 1st time buyer and it just so happened the property I was interested in was being represented by WHB. When I was meeting the representative to show me around the property, it was never confirmed which entrance we were meeting at. None of them have a mobile phone so I had to call the branch and it was a lot of back and fourth and they were late.
When I was then being shown around I asked the guy who was showing me around what the key was for and he said he had no idea. None of the doors in the flat had key holes. But he was clueless.
I then wanted to see the flat again a few weeks later and they MADE the vendor meet me because they were too busy on the Saturday and they told her it could result in the purchase not following through. I was mortified when they vendor told me this! She then explained the key was for the meter reading room. She then said she would show me the car park space. I explained this had been shown to me and she explained that the Estate Agent was very disengaged when she was showing them around and she would feel better if she showed me. I had been shown the WRONG parking space and with the vendor showing me the right one it saved my car from having a nasty note after I move in or even worse - scratches!
When completion was complete, the estate agent didn't allow me to pick up my keys. I should have been told I have access to keys last Thursday but they said the solicitors had not confirmed completion (which they had). My solicitors were mortified and called my estate agent. The lady I dealt with from the very start said there was a new starter who joined their company and they were not clued up on the process. This is a lie as I had been consistently speaking to the same lady since the 1st day!! They were so rude to my solicitor and even hung up from them.
I confronted the person in question and they got VERY defensive. My solicitor was forever saying if I need anything to contact them and very informative but WHB?... defensive, rude and armature! Even if I see a property in future I like and see they are representing the property I would not go near it! In future if I sell I would never call them to represent me either.
May as well have school children in there - they would probably do a more professional job.

Incompetent and impolite, no customer service. They want something, it has to happen ASAP. You have an issue - well good luck - be prepared to chase this for weeks until you sort it out yourself in the end.
