Truly shocking service!!! (Kettering branch) all lovely at the beginning to get your signature then it all goes down hill. Communication was terrible, did most chasing ourselves. Moved into our property a week ago and still waiting for a call to tell us all is completed!!!!! I Had to hand over the keys to the buyer of my property as they never even bothered to ask for them.!! Begrudgingly paid for their terrible service, which I can honestly say they don’t deserve. Would never recommend or use again.

Astonishingly bad service from this company. Anyone looking to buy or sell should seriously think twice about using this crowd. We simply tried to buy a house that they were selling and even made our offer above the asking price to keep things simple.
There was issues from the outset just trying to get a viewing on the house as they simply never answered the phone (they later informed us that they are too busy to be answering phones). After a lot of perseverance eventually spoke to someone that wasn’t a great deal of help and had very little idea what he was doing.
Managed to get a viewing where we made an offer higher than the asking price………straightforward enough?
However over the next few days William H Brown still never answered their phone or responded to any communication attempts and I ended up having to ring another branch to get them to give the Kettering branch a nudge!!!
The other branch managed to give them a nudge and from this point we were then just met with nothing but arrogance and continued lack of progress, all very playground. It was at this point that we decided that we no longer wanted to deal with a company that conducted itself in this manner. We were just trying to buy a house and had even offered over the asking price, it shouldn’t be this hard!!
I believe that they were playing buyers off against each other and simply using our offer to try and bid up any other prospective buyers, in the process just costing everyone time and money and messing everyone around for their own gain. I doubt the vendor even knew anything about any of this, but it was enough for us to withdraw any further interest in the property or any other property being offered by William H Brown.
You have to ask yourself if they won’t even pick up a phone for days when you’re spending hundreds of thousands of pounds what are they going to be like if there was ever a problem to sort!?

express my serious concerns and disappointment with the handling of our recent property purchase attempt. We have several significant issues that we would like addressed.
Firstly, we worked diligently with your agents to provide all necessary documents and information required for the purchase. An offer was then put forward and accepted, and we were provided with a memorandum which clearly stated property has been withdrawn from . However, we were told we could pay for the surveyor once the memorandum was issued. As a result, we incurred these unnecessary costs upfront.
Furthermore, we were never informed that a different offer had been made on the property until after their offer had already been accepted. When we did find out, we immediately put forward a counter-offer, but this was instantly rejected without any explanation.
The lack of communication and transparency throughout this process has been extremely frustrating. We feel that we have been treated unfairly and that the transaction was not handled with the professionalism we expected from your company.
We would appreciate a prompt response addressing these issues, as well as a detailed explanation of how you intend to rectify the situation. Our time and money have been wasted, and we deserve to be compensated for the costs we have incurred.

I placed an offer on a property and a week or so later I had to chase this up, where I was kindly asked to give a few more days, as I’m presuming they wanted to see if they could better it. Which is understandable. A few more days passed by and I chased again, and was subsequently told my offer had been accepted. Fantastic news….. or so I thought.
I exchanged my estate agents details that I was selling with, solicitors etc etc, went through the identity checks only to be told a few days later that another offer had come in and would I like to increase mine. So by now I think I’d wasted around 2-3 weeks. Obviously Tracy who I was dealing with couldn’t get her ducks in a row and massively messed me around, I refused to do business with such an estate agent because imagine if we got weeks down the line, and they then accepted a higher offer. Someone could end up potentially homeless or having to cancel the sale on theirs. Trust is huge as there is already a high degree of uncertainty and stress at it is.

I would strongly advise anyone looking to sell a property to steer clear of William h Brown. My experience with them was a complete disaster, and I regret entrusting them with such an important transaction.
Lack of Communication: Throughout the entire process, the estate agent seemed disinterested and unresponsive. Phone calls and emails were rarely answered, and when they did respond, it was often days later. If we had to talk to them we had to turn
in their office as nobody would answer.
Unreliable and Unorganized: displayed a complete lack of organization , nobody seems to know anything.
Numerous attempts were made to contact our assigned property agent, Lucas, without any response. We found out Lucas had left the firm only after I had to visit the WH Brown office ( as nobody answers the phone or replies on the emails) and no one had bothered to inform us or assign a new agent.
Our property's valuation was reduced by £10,000 WITHOUT our consent or prior knowledge. And other plenty numerous things they have done to us.
After writing a formal complaint that had to go thru the property Ombudsman they finally came back to us , but we ended up the contract them finally.
I had to write this review as even though more than a week our house is not on sale anymore with them ,. the “ For sale” sign has not been removed from our property despite multiple calls .
As a property owner, I believe I have the right to decide when the "For Sale" sign should be removed. However, William H Brown seems to be indifferent to my needs and wishes, which is unprofessional and disrespectful.
I am deeply dissatisfied with their service and will be seeking assistance elsewhere in the future.

The property we are now in is fantastic and we have really settled in despite only being in 3 weeks. It really is a family home. Cheldon was always happy to assist with the updates on the move and went the extra mile to help us when we had a delivery to the new house when the move date had to be pushed back (this wasn’t William H Brown’s fault). Robin, mortgage advisor couldn’t do enough for us either and again went the extra mile to get things over line and in place for us. Dan the Branch Manager again was very helpful and professional in keeping us updated on progress.

Used William H Brown to rent my first rental and I don't normally write a review on things however on this occasion the service was so good I felt like I just had to share!
Firstly we were very picky lol, and the lettings team were really patient with us from the start and showed us lot's of different properties that suited our needs and also a couple of 'outside of the box' properties. They really were like Kettering's own Kirsty and Phil!
Once we were in the property there were a couple of issues that were picked up on the final checks of the property after the previous tenants had left (moving out marks and scratches) which were rectified in a timely manor.
Craig the lettings manager was always on hand to speak to me and if he wasn't then his team member always made sure to help me with my queries or if I left a message they were quick to get back to me.
Overall i'm really pleased and would definitely use again! Thanks guys!

Super fast when I was moving in, but after moving out over 7 weeks ago, still haven't received the deposit back. Nobody is responding on my emails, when tried to call the Agency - all were at the meeting. Had to chase the Landlord and the company dealing with deposits myself, still unsuccesfull. Would not recommend for lettings, takes way too long to receive my money back.

As a letting agent, they did a very poor job.
Had to contact several times and leave multiple emails and messages over the course of a week for a simple update on how things were rolling, as they were waiting for a gas safety certificate.
When I moved in, work that I was promised would be done had not bene touched, and nearly 6 months on still hasn't been finished. I realise this in particukar is down to my landlord, yet William h brown did nothing to fight on my side besides "tough luck" as they already had my money. They were however happy to be a letting agent for a property without smoke alarms, technically making it illegal to let out, yet they didn't seem to care and wouldn't press the landlord for any changes as again, they already had my money.
Overall, lack of communication and support.

Excellent company. We have just bought our first house through WHB, and I actually do not think we'd be in it right now if it wasn't for WHB!! To give a rundown of what happened: we were first matched to this property by Dannii - we liked this as it was very proactive. We were given the opportunity to use the Connell's Group incentive plan, which mean that WHB would be handling all aspects of the sale, and we would be using their in-house Broker. We were a little unsure of this, but after meeting Robin (the broker) face-to-face, we went for it. Robin was excellent at calming our FTB nerves and was always easy to contact, it felt like he really did care about our situation and was very easy to talk to. We cross-checked the mortgage product he offered us, and were very pleased with it.
To cut a long story VERY short, the sale itself did not go smoothly. We were in a chain, and one of the properties up the chain had problems of various sorts. Throughout it all, Debbie was fantastic. Easy to contact, completely reassuring, very flexible and honestly did most of the work some of the solicitors should have been doing themselves!!! We don't think we'd have completed this sale without her. We were so relieved we had contact with an agent that honestly cared about our situation and that of our vendors.
