Well just when we thought we were down and out in swooped Gobind and the Austin and Wyatt team Southampton Team!
Our previous buyer pulled out right at the 11th hour while with another agent and we were about to give up and come off the market, Austin and Wyatt Lyndhurst where our onward purchasing estate agents and in a bid to keep the chain alive convinced us to have a chat with our Austin and Wyatt local team which is when we first met Gobind.
Gobind was brilliant, his family based values, infectious energy and simple desire to help us sell our house for the best possible price as quickly as possible convinced us to give him and his team a chance to sell our house and tie up the chain.

My father was a tenant of a property managed by A&W - he passed away back in April and we have had very little communication from Austin & Wyatt on whether his room has been cleared, and we've had no communication on what is happening with his deposit. Emails are often going ignored (even by the branch manager), and I feel this is a really poor way to treat people who are dealing with a very recent and painful bereavement.

Booked another property with them. They contacted me by email to change time. Went to the property for the viewing but no agent. Called them and they told me . We left you voice mail. Never received the voice mail. They could not be bothered email me.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this time it wouldn't be fair not to. Recently had an in-person property valuation done by Gobind, and the service was absolutely incredible! Although I wasn't even in a position to sell the property, he still took the time to help me ascertain its current value for which I am highly grateful.
The conversation I had with Gobind and his fellow colleague AJ was very helpful and informative, and I can honestly say they've gone above and beyond.
For anyone looking for a property valuation or even to buy/sell property, Austin and Wyatt would be your best shot by far, as I can guarantee you won't receive the same level of service anywhere else but here. When I went in, the person dealing with letting seemed annoyed. I briefly explained what I was looking for and then told her I had a CCJ. She stopped me and said that she couldn't help me. When I asked why she was unable to explain. Another agent chipped in and said that they were told they weren't allowed to let to people with CCJs. Though they didn't ask me, I did let them know that I had 6 months rent that I could pay in advance, at which point they asked for my details.
I refused to leave the details and won't deal with them at any point in the future. Patronising and clueless.

I love to see that other clients had a better experience than I had with this agency. Mine was shocking. Lost keys to the property purchased? Tick! Key documents missed to be submitted to relevant parties causing delay? Tick! Arrogant, condescending, bordering on unprofessional behaviour and communication? Also tick! I could go on. I couldn't wait for the purchase process to finish, which eventually took 9 month! And funnily enough, A&W were not even my estate agent. I personally definitely would not recommend this branch.

Austin & Wyatt, London Road, are currently selling the flat I've been a tenant at for over 15 years and have been seemingly unable to treat me with the basic respect a long standing tenant would expect to receive. They regularly inform me of viewings on the same day as the viewing, despite the requirement to give me 24 hours notice and me continuously asking them to do so. Today I spoke to the manager in person, asking them to give me 24 hours notice for viewings on two separate e-mail addresses. An hour later I received a text message informing me of the viewing, with no e-mails sent despite my request. In addition to the lack of respect shown regarding viewings, they left me without a working oven for the entirety of the Christmas period - nearly a month passed before anything was done to fix this. They appear to have little to no regard for their tenants or be in any way committed to providing them with a good level of service. Whilst I understand the property is on the market for sale, this is, ultimately, my home and Austin and Wyatt do not seem to give a monkeys.

They really do care about you and treated us with respect at all times. My mum is elderly and I can honestly say all three treated her as if she was there mum! Fantastic. Been renting for 2 years now and what i would appreciate the most is you guys actually answering your messeges whenever i call about something important such as rent, ect. I wont hear from you guys for atleast a week to 3 months until you guys decide to call me whenever you feel like. Even my landlady answers quicker than you guys which says quite alot about what you guys do.

We loved our experience with Austin and Wyatt. We approached them in July to sell our 3 bedroom house. They worked with us to get us the quick sale we wanted at a price we were happy with. Within three weeks we had accepted an offer. Manuel in particular was excellent and kept us up to date with our chain and any developments. We met with 5 local estate agents to sell our townhouse in Southampton and we chose Austin & Wyatt (London Road branch) because of Scott Jones the branch manager who came to value the house.
He seemed to have an incredible knowledge of the local market, he made a very considered valuation and he provided by far the best customer service! Once we chose them the end to end service was amazing with great listings, proactive marketing and a good number of relevant viewings. A special mention must go to Sarah Mills the agent who hosted most of the viewings and who became our main contact point. Sarah's professionalism, friendliness and patience is now legendary! We cannot thank her enough for being that calm voice at the end of the phone. Selling a house is never straight forward but with Sarah there we really felt like someone was hand-holding us and doing their absolute best for us.
We also chose to go with the recommended (Countrywide Group) solicitor and Damon Brookes our solicitor was so helpful - nothing was too much problem! His responses were always very quick and he was very approachable by telephone. You could not wish for a better solicitor guiding you though the legal process - we are so grateful.

Selling our house was proving difficult and it had been on the market for 4 months with Purplebricks. It was on the market off the market and so on. Then Sarah knocked the door. She asked if she could help sell our house and gave us a run down of how Austin & Wyatt work. She said she had some people looking for a house in the area. We agreed to sign up as we really needed help. Within 3 days our house was sold! Just like that! Happy buyers happy sellers and happy Sarah. I would definitely recommend. The member of staff who showed me round the property was very professional and did his job well. However this company is very sneaky with hidden costs they dont tell you about until after you have paid a holding fee, in my case I had to pay £500 holding fee. If I backed out I would loose that money. So on top of two months rent up front I also had nearly £1000 in hidden charges which they should state BEFORE you pay the holding fee. It was a massive amount of money and I went in the estate agents happy with things and came out fuming. I'm not blaming Nathan as I'm sure this is "COMPANY PROCEDURE". A new law has come out to stop these charges so they will probably add a grand to the fist months rent to claw it back @A&W be honest with you customers and not mislead them! All cost should be made clear from THE START.

From the first viewing with Nathan, I was pleased How professional he was. He is punctual and polite. I feel he did well to get us into the property in the short time frame. His overall representation of his company was a good one. However I was surprised at the total fees that were charged and at this point in could not back out or loose the holding fee cash. Previous fees at other rented property's were cheaper. Just a pointer for A&W, if you could inform tenants before the holding fee is paid. Your admin charges and total fees, it did come as a shock.

I cannot warn you enough of how bad the service at this business is. Please please please do not use this letting agents. Me and my flatmates have experienced countless problems with our house and even after reporting them for the second time now, haven’t been fixed. Radiators not working in the winter months is quite serious and Austin Wyatt simply do not care. Not to mention other broken items such as the dishwasher, outside drain, wardrobe door and poorly kept garden. Please do not be fooled by the pictures on their website and do not at all costs use this agency.
I know the response will be to talk to a countrywide email address but this is simply Austin Wyatt passing the blame elsewhere and a further example of how poor they are at sorting problems with their clients.

Ms Lailey and her team are knowledgeable and are always courteous and helpful. Under Ms Lailey's leadership we have noticed a significant improvement in reliability of service and administrative management and she has personally gone to lengths to assist us.

Changed my energy supplier to a very expensive (Spark) one without my permission. claiming its part of the service but the prevented me from changing to the energy supplier i wanted. If others have had this problem let me know as I have reason to believe this is illegal and also against the tendency agreement.

We opted to sell our property using Austin & Wyatt's "flexi-service" as we were very impressed with the marketing they offered & their local knowledge compared to other online estate agents.
After three weeks however we found out there were some issues with our house that were preventing us from agreeing a sale, luckily we were able to upgrade to their full service though without losing any money (which I believe we would have if we had instructed Purple Bricks). From this point on the team offered a personal service & excellent advice to ensure that we agreed a sale & exchanged contracts quicker than expected.

The main issue with A&W is the fact that it is a "one stop shop" of a mortgage broker, estate agent & solicitors. Because of this, I found it hard to get a straight answer from any department when dealing with them. However, the team there are helpful and friendly.

Absolute joke. Tried calling a few times from 9am to 11am and it constantly went to voicemail. Left a message for them to call me back. 2 hours later, no response so called another branch to see if they were open. The lady I spoke to said she would send them an email and get someone to call me back. 3 hours later, and after trying to call again a couple of times, still no response or call back. Called the other branch again and the same lady said she would call them and chase herself and that someone would call me back. It's now 1pm the next day and still no response.
If the company are this incompetent when it comes to picking up a phone and calling a potential new customer, then I dread to think what they're like as an estate agent.

Estate agents seem to attract a lot of criticism but in many cases it’s not the estate agents fault; buyers, solicitors and others can create problems resulting in lengthy delays.

Two issues with the lettings team.
1) On arrival the electric shower in my property was broken. I was told as running water available that this was all they were required to provide and that it would be fixed in due course - meaning my disabled mother had to travel to a local pool to maintain her personal hygiene.
2) Having paid my £850 rent in full and on time throughout the course of my rental - a breakdown in communication internally currently has seen me wait weeks for a refund to be processed. Rather than attend to this I was told I had to wait for them to negotiate with the landlord to secure funds (who lived in the far east).
Considering the fee's I paid - this is not the level of service i would expect. Be warned!
