I had a very disappointing experience with Bourne Estate Agency.
While everything was smooth during our stay at the property, the issues began after we vacated. We left the property on the agreed date, handed over the keys properly, and fulfilled all expectations set by both the landlord and the agency.
However, it has now been nearly 3–4 months, and we have still not received our deposit back. We have repeatedly reached out via email to request updates and an estimated timeline, but have received little to no meaningful response. Most of the time, we only get automated replies stating that the concerned person is not in the office.
This level of communication and lack of accountability is extremely frustrating. If someone is unavailable, there should be a proper system in place to handle tenant concerns this is not something tenants should have to deal with.
As per UK regulations, deposits should be returned within a reasonable timeframe after the tenancy ends, which has clearly not been the case here.
Overall, I am very disappointed with how this situation has been handled. I would not recommend this agency based on my experience.... Read more
