My mum was trialing a care home so we needed to get valuations in case we had to sell her property quickly to pay for her long term care. Lisa was very understanding of the situation, offered an honest valuation and regularly checked in with us so see how mum was getting on during her care home trial. Mum decided she wasn't quite ready for care home life and wanted to return and stay in her own home but we appreciated the service abd attention we received ftom Lisa.

My experience with Douglas Allen was extremely disappointing. My complaint relates to communication, transparency and the handling of my sale. I was not informed of important information regarding my buyer’s funding arrangements when I believe I should have been, and this resulted in significant stress, disruption and additional costs. After completing their complaints procedure, I have referred the matter to The Property Ombudsman for an independent review. I will update this review once that process has concluded.

The staff at Douglas Allen are lovely, but sadly, I didn't have one viewing.
I do feel that after they advertised on line, they just waited for the phone to ring.
Having said that, it is currently a difficult market. Perhaps my valuation exceeded customers expectations???
But on the grounds of the company being very approachable and friendly, I would recommend them.

Douglas Allen were very helpful in our house purchase. Ray was excellent and very informative during the viewings and offer stage and our sales progressor Ella Seki was absolutely amazing at chasing things down and keeping us informed. Highly recommend!
