Being outside Hornchurch I wasn’t initially going to use Douglas Allen. However, I was pleased that I decided to use their services. I found the staff very approachable and always professional. The online Portal system available to sellers lets you review your property details, viewings and feedback. Post sale it also updated with the current status. Once the sale had been agreed management of passing over to a separate team who then manage and chase the sale through to completion. I always felt informed to the current status of the sale and never needed to chase. With this in mind I would like to thank Tom and David for their expert advice on the sale and Chelsey for making our sale as stress free as it could be. Morgan Barrett, Eleanor Dempsey and David Tomlin have done a fantastic job at listing our property, arranging viewings and helping liaise with potential buyers and directly with our developer. Had a on the phone valuation! How can this be correct when not seen the quality of decor? Wasn’t asked any questions about property except if I had garage ! Asked what I thought it might be worth then was added £10,000 above what I had mentioned! So not really very accurate! I have just sold my aunt's house for her through Douglas Allen in Hornchurch. As I am not residing in England it would have been a very difficult job for me to do. Fortunately David Tomlins and Chelsea Baldwin have helped me through the whole process of selling the house. They explained how the process in general in England goes and of course how the process of the selling was going on. When it took too long in my opinion, they contacted the buyer and their sollicitor to speed things up. They also helped me getting in touch with a sollicitor, JS Law, who did the legal part for me. This was necessary as due to Covid travelling to and from the continent is much restricted and more expensive because of all the tests to be taken. Last, but not least, David and Chelsea read the meters for me and made sure that on the completion date the keys were handed over to the new owners. It was quite a new experience to sell a property in England, and also selling property from a distance, but with the help of David and Chelsea and I am sure the rest of the team, it was done succesfull and to the opinion of David in a very short time. I even got an invite to come round for a cuppa whenever I am in the neighbourhood. The whole experience was done perfect. Chelsea and David, thank you very much.
