The house was overvalued. As it was subject to a Shared Appreciation Mortgage, the shortfall of £28,000 will have to be covered by the beneficiaries of a will. The Bank will not lose out at all. There were twelve viewings fairly quickly, but Prospect had known on the impending house sale for some time. Prospect were happy to ask us to take £35,000 less than their valuation. That valuation, surprise, surprise, was exactly the same as the Bank's. We pushed, and got the offer up £7,000. We took this offer because no chain is involved, and even more compound interest may be applied by the bank if the sale is not completed before a certain date.

Paid a holding deposit on a property but didn’t sign a contract. Spoke to Ollie Payne who confirmed I would receive this deposit back as we didn’t sign a contract however it’s been over 6 weeks and I have still not received this despite numerous phone calls. Have given my bank details to numerous people on the phone with prospect and have been waiting on an email from ‘Chloe’ for weeks. Very very disappointed as I was expecting Prospect to be a reputable agency however would not recommend this to anybody.

We have not sold our property, but withdrawn from the market. Prospect were very proactive in their attempts to sell our house, but we dropped the price twice suggesting that the original valuation was too high. We also had far too many viewings from people who were never going to buy our house giving comments like no parking or too small which should have been made clearer before seeing our house and wasting our time.

Just wanted to say how helpful Prospect (Sandhurst), made our first renting experience. We have been very pleased with the way Prospect have helped us to sell our home. Davina Dobe, in particular, has been outstanding. She immediately “got” our house, so was able to present our home to its best advantage, giving us sound advice throughout. She has a particular knack of finding positive solutions rather than dwelling on negative problems which has lightened the whole process for us. She and the whole team at Prospect have been thoroughly professional and crucially are easy to contact. Special mention must be made of the amazing sales brochure for our house which was a class above anything else we have seen. Thank you very much Davina and all at Prospect Crowthorne.
