12th Mar 2024 (20 weeks ago)No communication. I needed to ring to get any updates one viewing in 6 months. Shop only open till lunchtime on a Saturday. Went 3 times to speak with them, on a Saturday and the shop was closed. Before lunchtime reduced price one week later went into the shop to tell them that the property was still full price in their window. paid nearly £900. For pictures and one media post on rightmove. So not good value for money.which I cant get anything back I needed to ask for my contract which they emailed to me after six months,to find out that no money would be given back not told this when I signed. Property does not sell its self need a good agent to push your property and tell you full details before you sign agreement.

2nd Mar 2019 (5 years ago)We are student at Durham University and we decided to rent a house. I called the estate agent and they agreed to send us the agreement and everything to rent this one house that we really liked. We were supposed to arrive a week later to submit the forms and pay deposit. When I got the papers, they confirmed with us that the house would be definitely be reserved for us. However, the morning we were supposed to hand in the papers, I got a short, badly articulated email saying that the property was no longer available and that we should look somewhere else. No explanation, nothing. We were angry because student accommodation is competitive and we lost so much time waiting for this house. Upon emailing them multiple times, they finally said that the previous tenants decided to stay for another year. Didn’t they confirm with the current tenants that they would be moving out? Why would they even list the house if that was an option? .Why send us the agreements and everything? They didn’t even bother trying to find us other options that we could stay at instead. All and all, I would never use this agent again because their service is absolutely terrible- 16th Feb 2024 (23 weeks ago)From the moment my property went on the market I never heard from Dowen again other than to tell me if I had a viewing. I might aswell have put the house up for sale myself. £1200 for what? Putting it on Rightmove? Photos were terrible, he said he would come back when it was sunny to take some more. Never heard from him... Appalling customer service, no call backs just nothing, no personal touch at all. Would never use again, there are plenty of better local estate agents out there who would take much better care of you for a lot less money.

The sale ended up being a fairly drawn out process due to a new build in the chain but I was kept up to date throughout by Gill who helped put the pressure on get us the answers we needed.

20th May 2024 (10 weeks ago)BP Auctions have been anything BUT easy to work with. We’ve been chasing for updates on the sale of our property for weeks with no response. Every time we manage to speak to someone on the phone, we’re promised a call back that never happens. No one responds via email, and the whole process has been painfully slow from start to finish.
11th Jun 2024 (7 weeks ago)If I could give zero that would be too high. Limited communication basically couldn’t care less. Since giving 28 days notice even less communication. Price for the house was valued too high in first place to get us on board. If it wasn’t for my daughter in law calling them we wouldn’t have found out that a buyer didn’t have the funds to purchase, this went on for 5 months and now back to square one.
